Professional looking shop, pleasant service, good turn around time.

Shop area is well complimented with what looks to be the entire Wintersteiger ski/board tuning machine catalog.  Having that smell of wax and P-Tex in the air,  VSBS comes across as a professionally run business of skiers/riders for skiers/riders.

Service was pleasant and the small staff seem very knowledgeable.  Work was of high quality and turn around time was better than expected.

It was advertised while i was there they offer affordable off-season ski/board storage, which great for Vancouver apartment dwellers.

This place specializes in fixing up skis and snowboards.  It's a one-stop shop.  Parking is tough before 9:30am but they have one parking spot in the lot next door dedicated for this shop.  They know what they're doing and they've been there for years.

Tune-up for skis cost $45, no filler.  Not bad, but the kid off Craigslist is cheaper at $20 for fixing up skis in his home shop.  I wonder if that guy is any good.  Anyway, I got my skis back in two days' turnaround and they're back to virgin status.

The bad news: Binding adjustments cost $28, even for demo bindings.  I wouldn't pay this much to level up, so I'm going to have to look elsewhere.

The good news: they do have summer storage, and it's the same price for the tune up.  For $45 in May, they take and tune up your skis, and have them ready for you to pick up when you start the winter season.  That's a pretty good deal, and I'll be sure to take them up on that this coming May (that is, if I don't go on that summer South American ski tour I've always wanted to do).
