I decided to get laser hair removal for facial hair that I had previously been shaving/waxing/depilating for years. When I visited Vancouver Laser Center for a consultation, the offices were super nice- warm, clean, and inviting, and the staff was friendly and accommodating, offering bottled water and chocolate. First impression: safe and comfortable! The staff that I met with made sure that I was as knowledgeable as possible about the procedure I would be undergoing, giving me pamphlets with information and going through all of the steps with me. They were careful to give me statistics about best and worst case scenarios (being prepared for the most vs. the least amount of hair that would permanently be removed), and they explained the difference in machines they used. After my initial consultation with a member of the staff, I got to meet with Dr. Braun immediately afterwards, who examined my skin and told me that he would use the machine that lasers hair for sensitive skin, since I have an olive-colored skin tone and this specific machine would minimize the potential for burning pigment in my skin. After we went over packages and prices and I signed a consent form, I was told that they had an open appointment in 30 minutes and that I could begin my treatment that afternoon if I wanted. Then they handed me a Starbucks card so that I could go down the block to the closest shop and grab a coffee on the house while I waited for my session to start. Second impression: they are thoughtful! My first appointment was pretty surprising, because I felt virtually no pain, other than a few light zaps, and it was really quick- the whole process took less than 10 minutes. It was WAAAAAY less painful than waxing, and my skin wasn't even red or sensitive afterwards. I could not believe what an easy process it was. 4 appointments later and the hair on my face has all but disappeared- I had about a 60% to 70% decrease in hair, and what is left is very light in both color and texture, so the upkeep is extremely easy and much less frequent. I have also started to get microdermabrasion treatments, which has made my skin look and feel so refreshed and bright and awake. I am recommending Vancouver Laser Center to any and everyone in Vancouver who is looking to get treatment done. I trust the practitioners, the treatments and the care provided and I am so happy that I found such a reputable and wonderful place!

Meet the Business Owner: Martin B.
Dr. Martin Braun is one of the most accomplished and respected cosmetic rejuvenation physicians practicing in the Vancouver area. His goal is to help everyone achieve beautiful skin for life, beginning at any age.
As a pioneer in laser medicine, Dr. Braun has the distinction of being the first doctor in Canada to perform laser hair removal over 12 years ago. He currently injects more Botox® than any other practitioner in Canada!
After receiving his M.D. from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 1984, Dr. Braun completed his core surgical training at Vancouver General Hospital. He subsequently became certified to practice both Family and Emergency Medicine. He worked extensively in both areas for 15 years, but in response to rising demand, Dr. Braun has devoted his practice exclusively to cosmetic rejuvenation procedures at his private medical clinic.
