I was looking to get my old Berry unlocked, and I emailed around my office for recommendations. Two emails came back suggesting VanCell so off I went.
I have to admit, I was a little worried at first. I've been really burned by shady and unprofessional places in past, but I am SO thrilled to report that VanCell is highly professional, respectful and JB/Irene are friendly and COMPETENT! The prices were really reasonable and I was able to park it on one of their plush chairs to relax for a few moments while the work was being done on my phone.
Amazing overall experience, I am glad to give VanCell the 5* stamp of approval! -

I could not be happier with the service I received at vancell. After an initial repair which worked for 18 months (three times the warranty period for the repair), my screen failed. After reading my update below, JB contacted me and offered to have a look, for free, despite the expired warranty - as often the cables can come loose, leading to the symptoms I experienced.
I brought it in a while later, and a very pleasant tech, Irene, took a look and determined it wasn't the cables - but then offered to replace the screen on the spot, for free, out of warranty, with no receipt or anything, and with no indication that their original repair was in any way related to the current malfunction.
Given typical service I receive at "aftermarket" repair shops, particularly when the topic is technical enough that you are at an information disadvantage and thus lack any leverage, this was a breath of fresh air, and I highly recommend this place as a first choice for anyone seeking phone repair in Vancouver.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »
