Great garlic knots and zeps!! (They charge for sauce for the knots and we had to ask for the sauce... which was weird, don't knots come with sauce?)
Pizza is good too but like other reviews say, don't miss the knots!! zeps were the best I have ever had!!! I don't like many fried thing but these are FTW!!
Other let down is they don't take credit... but I guess I had fair warning because it says it on Yelp.

Cheap pizza by the slice that's not your standard floppy greasy NY slice. The pizza has actual dough.
If you are in Park Slope and you have time to stop at one pizza joint, I wouldn't stop here. There are other better places in the hood that are more expensive, but if you want a little bit of dough, if you have cash (no cc's), and you want something cheap, quick, and friendly, this place is a good bet. -

One of my last couple of days in NY and man this pizza joint sucked.
Maybe it's because I ordered the Peperoni because it was so greasy I felt this lard in my mouth. After leaving the place I wanted to unload it all. The only thing that tasted okay were the garlic knots. That Garlic taste lasted all day long. Even gum couldn't get rid of it.
My buddies sausage pizza looked pretty ugly looking. He was looking for good NY pizza but he got shafted on that one. -

The perfect crisp to the crust is what does it here. It wasn't so crispy that you felt like you were eating sauce and cheese on a cracker, but there was definitely a crunch to it. $2.25 will get you a regular slice here, and I appreciate the fact that there wasn't grease pooling and dripping off the slice. The cheese was stringy enough to deliver that ooey gooey feeling, yet not so much that you got it all over your face. The sauce is decent.
There's plenty of seating in the back, the guys behind the counter seem to be really nice, and you have your choice between water, soda, and even beer if you want a drink with your pizza. I just moved into the neighborhood and I could definitely see this being a place I'd order a pie from whenever the urge struck.
The pizza's good, but it's not mind-blowingly good. I've had slices from other establishments with a more distinct and flavorful sauce. Still, this is definitely a great place to have nearby!Listed in: BOB (Best of Brooklyn)

Just great pizza at a good price, one of the better Sicilian slices I've ever had. If you're in the area you can't go wrong - only knock is that they don't stay open uber late at night.

I got here at 11.30pm the first time. Cool guy behind the counter. For a newly remodeled pizzeria, the guy gives it personality that an old school pizzeria can't compete with.
Little hook ups, fun jokes, interaction etc.
For getting the last slices, as in nothing was really fresh and we were twisted...not bad, not bad at all.
So we left, bought beers, tried to chill on a few stoops, no luck...so we came back, bought out the last of the garlic knots...he was cool enough to let us chill with our beers at the table. -

Oh, I used to live upstairs in the building next door and lived on their pizza for over two years (two cheese slices, cold- so I could heat 'em upstairs). The owners are nice (they were my landlords as well).
The pizza is good- not crazy gourmet or anything, but good stuff, and as I write this from far away, I wish I could run downstairs for a slice or two... It's also clean, and busy- so you get a nice fresh slice... -

I just had to write another review for this place because my other one was way too short, even though it said what needed to be said.
I've been coming to this place for years and every time I eat at another pizza place in Park Slope, I ask myself why I bothered and I usually come here a few days later to make up for it. The Margherita slice is awesome and so are the little pepperoni rolls, but the shining star of Pizza Town? The garlic knots. Oh yes, the garlic knots. I have never had a better garlic knot and the thought of the garlic knots from this place make my mouth water. Every person I have taken to Pizza Town looks like they got drop kicked by flavor when they take their first bite of the garlic knots and then they make a sound that's a cross between a dreamy sigh and an orgasm. So go there, eat them, now! Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
Pizza Town, I may have cheated on you in the past, but you know who I'll always come home to.1 Previous Review:

Standard, solid slices. They get extra love from me because the guy behind the counter calls everyone "sexy". My friend orders a second slice; "No problem, sexy lady!" His coworker asks him to throw another pie in the oven; "Sure thing, sexy guy!"
Everything was sexy, sexy, sexy. Just like their pizza. -

I am 100% biased, but we really like the pizza here-- it's nothing fancy at all, but I'm always satisfied with the slices we get. They give slices ample time in the oven, which I appreciate, without burning them, which I also appreciate.
Overall, a good place to stop if you're in the hood and feeling hungry! -

Good...not great pizza. It is tasty and they have a nice staff, but there are so many other places in Park Slope that serve a better slice.

Solid little local pizza place. I always get a smile with my slice, and after a long work day, it's sometimes all I need.
The Sophia Lauren pizza is their specialty and I tend to stick with it. It's a square (Sicily style) with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and fresh basil.
Garlic knots and zeppoli are also generally solid.
Tip: 2-liters are cheaper than at most places, so if you are there with a friend or two, it's usually better to get a 2-liter than cans of soda. -

The pizza is solid, but there's one other thing that must be mentioned here:
This place has stellar zeppoles. Picture it: you're walking home from a long day at work, hopefully making the world a better place but more than likely just perpetuating the conversion of paid jobs to internships for overqualified grad students. Anyway, your fatigued eyeballs catch the red, white and green V&M Pizza Town sign. You cross the street, walk in, and there, sitting behind the filmy plate glass display are puffy, pastrified, deep-fried Zeppoles. Just looking at them raises your blood pressure by 50 points, or grams, or PSI, or whatever blood pressure is measured in. You ask the guy behind the counter for a dozen in a bag. Tell him to pour on the powdered sugar. You tell him to shake the bag well. You're drooling by this time, work long forgotten. You grab the bag, the contents of which is now fried dough, grease, and enough powdered sugar to film Scarface 2. Retrieving one of these sugary goodnesses, you pop the whole thing into your mouth and as your pleasure centers explode and your body prepares a last ditch defense against the cholesteral immediately building up in your arteries, you sink against the wall in stupified contentment.
The other 11 are for later. You can eat them at 4am when you get back from whatever distraction you've planned for yourself tonight. Guaranteed hangover cure. If by "cure" you're looking for something that delivers brain anesthesia by zeppole overload. -

Decent slice if you're in a hurry or starving - the granny slice seems to be the thing to get.

Brooklyn, NY
The Grandma slice is the thing to get here. Maybe this is common in NY, but I haven't had it elsewhere. I got to it after my pepperoni slice which didn't slouch either. Grandma awaited patiently, ironically releasing stale, unpleasant odors. I was hesitant; first bite was awkward and timid; second was comforting and I tasted something peculiarly delightful. The crust was cooked longer, almost burnt, which was a change of pace. The pizza was overwhelmed with mozzarella cheese and olive oil, sprinkled with red pepper, oregano and most impotantly: garlic. It all came together to make this visit well worth it. Now Grandma is a part of my vocabulary and I will not ignore her.
