This was a great idea! Thanks for organizing, Desiree!
What a great way to spend a lazy afternoon in the sun. Pedaling around the lake in a 4-person pedal boat with some beverages and good peeps, the only thing lacking was a bit of music, but we made up for it with the conversation. Our party boat became the paddle up place to meet while we formed a menacing, slow-moving floatilla, invading the fisherman's space.
Thanks to Desiree and Lucas for bringing the after-activities snacks. What a spread!
Did anyone happen across a red metal water bottle, by any chance?Listed in: Yelp Love, Outdoor Recreation Time!

The best Monday night I've spent in ages... on a boat, Deer Lake, and yelpers: left, right and centre (or should I say starboard and port-side?)
I'm on a boat, y'all, a boat with a bar! Kassim, Aaron and Kat - thanks for being "Chunk" with me (hey you guys!) and for keeping our pedal boat upright and full of funniness. I think we make a fine team! Cheers!
Loved seeing everyone puttering around us in canoes and kayaks while other lake lovers moseyed in rowboats and personal float tubes. Thank you for latching on and going for a ride alongside of us!
Big THANK YOU for organizing this and the picnic feast afterward, Desiree (and to Lukas for thinking of it)! I hope we can do this again, and again!

I think we had the perfect day for this! There were even eagles, canada geese, ducks, and a mystery animal that popped up from the lilys. And I've never been on a canoe ride with a floating 'beverage' service before. And there was that guy in the personal fishing tube thing, which was interesting.
I was so happy with the turn out, and the sucess of the picnic too. Thanks for coming everyone, you guys rock! I know I'll be SYOYing some new people too! -

There's hardly anythings I like more than the sounds of a paddle hitting the water and the light reflecting off Lilly Pads.
Of course the sounds of fellow Yelpers having a good time is right up there too :-}
