I do not recommend this company.
If you are interested in an RESP for your child, it is very important to do some research before signing up with USC or any similar company. The front-end fees are quite high and the 'insurance' and other costs will significantly reduce your returns. If you stick with the program perfectly and your child does a 4-year university program, then you might do okay. However, there are too many risks of a below average investment, or losing money on your investment, that it is not worth the risk for most people.
The company claims to be run by a non-profit organisation, but all of the sales and marketing is done through a subsidiary for-profit company, that isn't directly apparent in the sales pitch. The management fees are quite high.
I'm not the dumbest guy on the block, but it took me a while to read their prospectus and still not figure out what a real net return could be.
