I think most of the clothes deserve a 5 star, but they're offset a lot by being pretty expensive. Not Zara's expensive, but the quality of the clothes is essentially on par with Forever21. Urban Outfitters is just perhaps less tacky than F21. They have a decent sale rack upstairs, but of course it's just all the rejected clothing that nobody would really wear anyway. They sell both women's and men's clothing. Most of it is pretty hipster and trendy.
There's also a lot of random gift-stuff and stocking stuffers, like hamburger phones, headphones, accessories, etc. Beware of the footwear, though. I've gotten a few pairs of shoes there that either just fell apart after a couple of wears or gave me some serious blisters even though they seemed to fit OK when I tried them on.
So overall, I'm a fan of the clothes, but not of the prices. -

I'm actually not too fond of this store, I thought I would be from what I've seen online. The sales associates kind of blend in with everyone else (like Chloe said) and I don't know who works there. The clothes I have bought are kind of junky too, not any better quality than bluenotes. I probably won't be back.

I'm very happy to see an Urban Outfitters arrive in Ottawa. I dropped in to see what t-shirts they have available. My rating isn't based on the store but more against other Urban Outfitters I've been to.
From the outside the space looks huge but that's not the case when you walk in. The store seems very cramped and small. The store doesn't seem like it's laid out well from when you first walk in and it feels that way when walking around the store.
I checked out some of the apartment/housing things and they definitely have some cool items but there just doesn't seem as much as other stores. Some of the other stores have lots of pieces that you can purchase.
I went upstairs to check out some of the clothing as the last time I was at UO in Montreal there were some t-shirts I forgot to pick up. When I went to check if they were here they didn't have them but the MTL store seemed to have all the shirts this one had and more.
The staff wasn't to friendly the day I went. One of the staff said hi and I said hi back and smiled and when I went to ask a question they just took off.
I'll be back for sure but the store definitely doesn't have the charm that the other UO's I've been to...with the exception of the change room upstairs. That was pretty cool. -

Yes! First to yelp! How exciting!
I'd like to let this out: FINALLY!! An Urban Outfitters in Ottawa!! It's about time!!
Besides the fact that I love this store, it could benefit from a little bit of rearranging of items. It just opened up so I can understand why things are a bit disarrayed. It's also a smaller store compared to other branches I've been to.
People that work there are surprisingly really helpful and down to earth (did not experience this much at Urban in the States), with a bubbly/happy personality, especially the girl up front that greets you when you come in with a warm "Hello, Bonjour!"
My favourite part of the store is that the sale items have it's separate racks and corner in the back, even covered with wooden walls. If you wanted to browse just through sale items, you know where to find it. It's best to act quick though, because a lot of the sale items left come in either really tiny sizes, or run big, if you don't get there before everyone else.
I will most definitely frequent this store now that it's finally built. -

Like Coy said, once you go inside there isn't much to it.
A lot of space on the first floor is taken up my kitschy books, accessories surrounding the cash. Women's wear is on the bottom, then you have to go around this staircase. I find the product placement very unattractive. This place does not make me want to stay here and browse around. In fact, it's really hard to when it's busy.
They carry lots of the designers they have in other locations in Canada.
I'm just not overly impressed. The change rooms are odd. And if I need a different size I can never tell who actually works here or not.
There are some great bargains. But I would never buy anything full price here the quality just isn't there.
