I am obsessed with my two dogs. Lov'em (a Boston Terrier and BT/Pug cross for the dog lovers out there wondering). Stores like Urban Dog are built for people like me-crazy, insane, dog owners who treat our dogs like children. This store carries a variety of high end dog couture from clothes and collars to beds and grooming products. It appears as though much of the product has been carefully chosen to represent the more trendy, stylish and better quality items than the box store pet shops. The food lines represent the same as they only carry the higher end healthy products for the concerned pet owner who doesn't want to buy the cheap Pedigree filler foods (which I don't). Also cool to notice is the "doggie deli" of home-made bones, treats and snacks for fido to enjoy after supper for dessert.
The staff are extremely friendly, cheerful and helpful and a joy to visit. Even more-so is their giant mastiff that sits behind the counter being as lazy and loveable as possible.
The location is cute and neatly tucked away in Marda Loop which you will find very clean, organized and well laid out once you enter and begin dreaming of new toys and surprises for your best friend. The price points vary from everyday market costs to more expensive on some items..but our dogs are worth every penny..Riight? Sure ARE!!

On my ever ongoing quest to buy treats for my dog, I wanted to check out Urban Dog, since it had been recommended my a trainer friend of mine.
The store is small. They do carry the best variety of dry dog food I have seen and only a small cooler of raw food. I found my usual dog food for $7 cheaper than another store I buy it from! There were some organic dog cleaning products, as well as care accessories, like toothbrushes. They had a few toys and chews, nothing that would survive long in my dog's possession. There was also a great variety of organic dog treats a big bag went for between $12 and $17. They carry some super cute dog clothes, but they were pricey. There is also a small selection of leashes and collars. They had a whole room of dog beds and blankets, they went for $50 to $140, I will never understand why dog beds are so much money! There was also a small selection of freshly made dog treats.
This is a cute, reasonably priced place to go for any dog food or treats, but expect to pay top dollar for beds and accessories!
