About a year ago I purchased a bedroom combo and a couple chairs at Urban Decor. It was a mixed experience, the price was ok compared to other furniture stores in Vancouver. The service however, let me put it mildly, left much space for improvement.
In store the product presentation is very compact, there is not much space and you better know exactly what you like because you can't give a lot on the knowledge of the associate. Be it design-wise or anything product related. They charged a very reasonable price for delivery to downtown Vancouver, I believe it was ~ 25$ at that time. However that's where the problems started. If you can't keep your appointments then don't offer delivery and assembling. My schedule was pretty tight and the delivery was 2 days late which in the end forced me to stay with a friend for that time (or sleep on the floor) as I had no living room furniture moved in yet.
The guys who came and delivered the stuff were great and fast. The issue here is clearly with the salespeople in the store. They try to sell everything quick and promise the moon and the stars.
Quality: The bed frame is good quality, I had to re-assemble it twice because I moved the furniture around and nothing splittered or broke. Same goes for the dresser. The mattress was done after a couple months but I only took it because the 'Heavenly Bed by Westin' that I ordered was out of stock. 2 of the chairs broke down within 4 months as well and those were not cheap. Oh well... When all my other stuff arrived I got replacements from 'Inspiration' which are top notch.
I would say that if you need a quick furnishing on a budget and don't expect much service, this would be a place to go. I give it a low 3 Stars and that only because of the price and the reasonable assembly & delivery cost.
