On what became my year long quest for laser hair removal, Urban Body Laser was the only place professional enough to both respond to my initial inquiry AND actually follow up to schedule an appointment after the consultation. I'm glad it took so long to find a business willing to actually take my money and zap my hair follicles; all of the technicians at Urban Body Laser are actually certified (not sure by who, but still), and I learned that a lot of the things I was told elsewhere were completely untrue (such as needing to wax the area exactly 4 weeks prior).
Had I known how simple the process is (all you have to do is shave the area the morning of your appointment; you can keep the area shaved all the time between appointments), I would have done it years ago. Urban Body Laser also has two types of machines, one of which actually works on lighter hair.
I had my consultation and second appointment with Brandi and I highly recommend her. The missing star is from my first appointment with another technician who was a bit too pushy trying to up-sell me on aftercare products.
They are certainly much pricier than the shady places I originally contacted, but there is always a special going on for first time customers (2 treatments for the price of one, or free underarms with bikini for example). They also offer a discount if you purchase several treatments in advance. Less than a week after my first appointment I received a $150 gift certificate for microdermabrasion in the mail as a thank you.
