They have a new display that caught my eye and I decided to go in as I'm looking for new things for my place. I walked in and pretty much got a stare down from the sales people which I replied with a smile. Nothing back from them and they just went back to talking to one another.
I walked around the store and was looking at some furniture that I thought was alright. I checked the price tag and the price looked alright, very similar to things I was looking at when I was at Structube and Mobilia. I sat down and it didn't feel as nice as the couches I was looking at from the other 2 stores. Nobody actually came over to help so I decided to get up and browse the store some more. Some of the accessories are super tacky and looks like it does belong in a grandma's barn.
I can't see this store being around for long if their service is this terrible! -

I've never heard of anyone actually buying anything from this location and after browsing it and seeing the other options in the Byward Market for furniture (yes, there actually are a few places) I can understand why.
They have a great window display with very chic furnishings and eye catching decor but once inside I found the store was cold and not very appealing.
The price tags were above my range which is probably why I never even got a smile from the lady working the floor!
Either way, it's fun to browse and when I compare this place to their neighbours and competition it just doesn't live up. -

I know that Urban Barn is a chain, but this location is one of the only stores I've ever seen. I used to always walk past it and see all the pretty furniture and decorations in the window until one day, I actually decided to take a look around. They sell sofas, tables, chairs, dressers, pillows, rugs, and other odds and ends for room decor. Everything is very nice and clean, with a modern, "cool" feel to them.
I came in just to take a look around, but I walked out pretty quickly. It's kind of like a smaller, upscale Ikea. The prices are through the roof, and maybe it was just me, but there was no one in sight to ask for help, even if I wanted to. No one greeted me when I came in, much less asked me if I needed help finding anything. All the furniture and things are nice, but not at all worth the price. With the combination of their high prices and poor customer service, no wonder the store is always empty.
