I was bracing for a horror story but after bitching and complaining I actually got my package delivered to my home within minutes (they missed the second delivery and were telling me it would be "return to sender" unless I forked over $5 to have it delivered to a UPS office near home). I was pleasantly surprised.

If I could give this zero stars I would. Seriously, if you are ordering something from Amazon for the love of god use Fed Ex or some other courier service. UPS first lost my package, gave me an invoice saying I could pick it up at the UPS store, I attempted to change the address of delivery , but their idiotic system takes two business days to change the address! By then, the 3rd attempt had already been made and it then went to their no-mans land in Burnaby. In addition to this, the burnaby depot has NO phone number OR point of contact. If you call the number provided...it will ask you to call their horrible customer service line. 1-800-PICK-UPS... more like 1-800-FUCK-YOU

The worst delivery experience time and time again. Delivery status report gives accurate data of incompetent personnel.
I call the phone number on the slip they leave at the front door. The automated voice says if I want to change my delivery options (ie. arrange for pick up or alternate delivery date) to go online. SO I go online to change my delivery options and it tells me to call the phone #. at this point... you're supposed to just start hitting your head against the wall. Apparently it helps UPS find u faster.
DO NOT PAY FOR EXPEDITED SHIPPING. Use good ol Canada Post. -

Been at the Richmond office 10 minutes. 4 other people here. Haven't seen any UPS people yet. Worse, they have an office in Bby where I live but made me come to Richmond for pickup. Bored, I might as well complain.
After over 20 mins I was served. There were actually two men on staff, but one had spent half an hour waiting to confirm something with the supervisor, the other had spent 15 minutes finding just one package (it wasn't where he thought it would be).
My pickup tag said there were two packages to be picked up. The guy returned with only 1, so I had to send him back for the other.
Then 5 days later I received notifications via post that the packages were still there to be picked up (which I verified was incorrect).
Unimpressed. -

Tracking my EXPRESS package all morning (Friday) and suddenly a holdup ... says 'incorrect address'. Called customer service and was told delivery was attempted and now it's rescheduled for Monday. I asked if I could go to Richmond and pick it up -- NO. I asked if it could be delivered today -- NO. I was told I'd have to pay some brokerage fees. WTF? I had the same thing delivered 3 weeks ago from FEDEX and there were NO EXTRA FEES.
Worst thing is, this stuff happens all the time with UPS. Last time, a package wasn't delivered for 3 weeks, they couldn't even tell me where it was being held!
I contacted Amazon and asked them never to use UPS again for my deliveries. They advised me there was no way I could ask for a specific delivery company. This is VERY POOR on Amazon's part. UPS are reflecting badly on their business. I will no longer order from Amazon because of this reason. -

One of the worst experiences ever!
UPS missed a couple of delivery attempts, so I decided to go to the local office to pick the package myself. What a big mistake!
Their offices are in Richmond and they are not really offices. It is a dark warehouse where in order to enter they search you all over.
As much as I can, I will avoid UPS in the future and go with ANY other shipping company.
People there treat you like a nuisance -- openly -- not a customer. With visible signs of being displeased of having you come over to pick up a package.
Uncomfortable experience all over. Avoid. -

I ordered a webcam off http://Amazon.com and it was shipped from Phoenix to Vancouver on the same day. UPS delivered, or at least attempted to deliver, it the next day. I don't have a buzzer number yet to my apartment so they called the day after. I asked if the driver could simply call my phone number when he is close and I can be downstairs when he gets there. The lady replies with "umm..drivers seldom call.." not drivers CAN'T call, but they "seldom" call, which irritated me more because it sounded like it was elective and getting the package to the customer isn't number one priority. The lady suggested I go pick it up at their office and I agreed thinking it would be an office downtown, but after giving me the address, she tells me it is by the airport.
After waiting for the long weekend to end, I finally made my way to the airport by bus thinking I could just walk to the office when I get there. I ended up having to spend a $20 taxi ride (from and back to the airport) to the UPS office because it wasn't reachable by walking.
I basically paid an extra $20 for the package that I tried to save by ordering off Amazon.
Do not use UPS whenever possible. -

Meh. I like the men in brown. They usually get my package to me on time. However, I haven't been home lately, and so I've missed their attempts to drop it off. Now it looks like I am into a whole other level of hassle.
When phoning their 1-800-pick-ups I haven't been able to get beyond their robots.. -

When I arrived at UPS office in Richmond, about 10 people were in line, and it was NOT moving at all. Then the customer service representative disappeared into the back for a while. An employee came out and told a waiting customer that his package was lost. The customer said he had been waiting for four hours. Another customer was told that his package had been missorted in the warehouse there. They told him to call 1-800-PICK-UPS to track it. It should be 800-Y-PICK-UPS. If it's their error, they should fix the problem, not tell him to call a toll-free number.
Then a woman was told she had to go to customs to clear her item. The woman said she had driven out there by taxi and no one told her she would have to then go to customs. I drove the woman and her daughter to customs. Upon returning, the woman had to wait in line again to pick up her item. I wasn't picking it up. I was having it delivered and changed the address to a new delivery location. Then it didn't arrive on the day promised. They were holding it to clear it -- again. You can't clear a package twice!
I made sure UPS had the new address. They read it back. It was correct.
The item showed up as delivered, but the store didn't have it.
Turns out they delivered it to the original address, not the updated one. They had updated the address in their computer, but not on the package. That added another two days to the delivery.
They said they'd pick it up, then drop it off the next day at the correct address. I didn't trust them. I brought it there myself.
I would NEVER use UPS again, as many people in line in Richmond also promised. They are completely disorganized and offer very bad service. -

Crappiest service ever!!! Spoke to an agent on friday to ensure that my package would be delivered on monday. 3pm comes along and no package. Called tracking line and the agent informs me that the last person I talked to forgot to send the message to have package delivered on monday. Great, one day wasted. The agent informed me that they will deliver the next day. I informed the agent that I will not be home and to leave it with the building concierge. I even left a note stating to leave package with concierge. Apparently two attempts were made to deliver but none to concierge. I called the tracking line again. I asked why wasnt my package delivered to the concierge. Agent had no clue. The agent then informed me that this would have been avoided if I filled the back of the delivery notice leaving specific instructions to leave package with concierge. I then informed the agent that since I was not home to receive the package, it would be impossible for me to take said delivery note left on the door and write specific instructions on it which is the reason i instructed them to leave my package with concierge. Not really sure if the agent fully absorbed my complex instructions. Tried to call the Richmond office but all I got was an automated voice message which is a smart move to avoid all the angry calls. Epic fail.
