Upcountry has decent furniture, all quality made, but nothing that is really outstanding. It is a good place for substantial pieces of furniture such as a large dining table or a sectional sofa. I don't think their furniture in general is not suited for smaller condos, as most of it is fairly large scaled.
I remembering helping my parents furnish their dining room a long time ago and had great experience with them, but they seem to have missed their mark over the years probably due to increasing competition on King East. I was also surprised to see a few pieces of Eames knock-offs, which is uncharacteristic of a high-end furniture store.
They seem to have improved recently with a new outdoor furniture section, and a new line of cool furniture from the U.K. -

On the higher price range for semi-custom furniture. Often have good sales that make the floor model worth the price. All items are made in Canada, from what I could tell, and take about 6-8 weeks to get. Delivery available, but there is a fee for it. All the most modern designs are available. By semi-custom I mean that you can choose the fabric on the headboard or the finish of the dresser. I would recommend coming here before making any big purchase. The furniture isn't so unique, often it's similar to what you'll see elsewhere, but if the measurements fit, this is certainly one of the places to come.
