Food was good, average. Nothing to necessarily write home about, but it was definitely a good Saturday night dinner.

The 5 stars, however, goes to the waiter service. The staff is great.

In a nutshell, I got the individual chefs choice deep dish! Pick your three toppings, so I chose onion, green pepper and pepperoni and  cousin ordered the numerio uno regular, the kids ordered chicken tenders and fries, salad with house dressing. I mean we have all eaten here before yadda yadda, its a Unos, so what?!?! Well I will tell ya, the Unos at the Seaport is not good at all!  This one was passable, ya know. Decided wanted a deep dish pizza.
Fast forward.......renovation.......Better food!!  The renovation, opens up the floor a bit, allowing for more chairs.  Gone are the booths and replacing them are smaller tables.  It's really modern and making it similar to other Unos.  The pizza was FRESH! We go here for the pizza and the kids get the chicken tenders n fries! I don't get steak, seafood, chicken, pasta etc., from.here because I know how its made and sorry I pass.  However for the deep dish pizza, they have started to do it very well and next time I will check out the thin crust!!

Been going to "Uno's" since i was in high school and I still love it!

It holds a special place for my wife and I because we had our first date here many years ago.

We actually went a little too much at first! Too many deep dish pizzas, rattlesnake pasta and pizza skin dishes can really pack on the pounds. Nowadays it's all about the avocado egg rolls for me and the chicken quesadilla for her!

The entire restaurant pays homage to the original Chicago location and is covered with old photos and advertisements on the walls that are always fun to look at.

The menu has actually changed alot recently with an emphasis on smaller portions and they have added a gluten-free portion to the menu.

One thing that hasn't changed is the brownie bowl! It's absolutely delicious, with vanilla ice cream on a warm brownie with chocolate syrup and whipped cream, so bad for you but so good!

My old favorite the fishermans platter is no longer on the menu but there are plenty of other options, my current favorite is the artisan mushroom thin crust pizza.

The lunch menu offers small portions, including a bottomless soup or salad option until 3pm, and you can order from the full menu if you wish.

They have a great staff that is friendly and fast, sit at the bar for drinks and "snack hours" from 4-7 and 10-closing where you can order half-sized appetizeres for just a few bucks to go along with your drinks at the bar.

Uno's feels like home and i never tire of going back, it's one of my favorite casual dining spots in Bay Ridge.

I came here once on a Saturday and it was a very bad idea. This place was totally packed. It was mostly a family restaurant so expect the place to be quite loud. I think it's also very common place that people hold birthday parties here too so be prepared to shift your attention when the cake comes out and the employee sing happy birthday.

In terms of the food, I didn't want the heavy duty pizza they served. I mean those things are monstrous in calories or so I've heard so I resorted to be a lightweight as always and just ordered soup and salad. :-) They gave very, very small portions. The sides were like a cup size and I was complaining about calories before right? ^_^

If you come out on a Saturday, be prepared to have a very difficult time finding a parking space unless you're willing to walk to the restaurant. This place does have a bar and the atmosphere is not to bad. Maybe Saturday nights aren't the best night to go but that was just my experience.

Reviewer Cosimo had it right in describing the clientele that goes here these days. If you like dining with folks who wear their Yankee caps during dinner and reek of weed, well then, you have found your Le Cirque!

However, this is not enough of a negative endorsement of the establishment. The service is lousy and food gave me a belly ache. I honestly don't know what happened to this chain? Only a few years ago this was still a premiere destination with families lining around the block to eat here. Pizza Uno, what happened?

The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious and the staff are sweethearts. What else is there to say? The decor is just OK. Who cares? It can be a noisy, especially at peak hours. Because there are a lot of people there. Because the food is delicious. Of course I haven't had everything there. Just the roasted eggplant, spinach and feta pizza. The harvest vegetable on 5 grain crust pizza. And the wild mushroom and cheddar pizza. And the chocolate peanut butter cup. And the oreo brownie bowl. Brownies and fudge and ice cream. Do you really need anything else? Ever?
I'm a vegetarian so maybe some of the meat dishes are mediocre. I wouldn't know. And it's not exactly low calorie. If you worry about calories you don't want to go here often. But you do want to go here sometimes. Because the food is delicious and the staff are sweethearts.

Ok, first off, I'd like to sincerely apologize to everyone at Uno's. I came here with my aunt and her annoying child who wouldn't stop screaming. I mean, that child has the WORST voice in the world that can literally make you want to shove a rusty metal rod in your ears. Hey...I'm allowed to say this, it's not like it's my kid haha.

Now for the restaurant. We don't have Uno's where I'm from (Ohio) but I've heard of it ever since I moved to NY. This place reminds me a lot of TGIFridays. It's very family oriented and has the same kind of atmosphere but it does have much better food. I had the cheeseburger sliders and I was honestly expecting little, crappy white castle-looking burgers. I was wrong. There were very freshly made and they really piled on the meat! It was a little spicy (our waitress told us it wasn't at all....I have ulcers, I know what's spicy and what's not, lady!). So, besides the dish killing my stomach, it was very good. Nothing too special, but definitely would order it again....WITHOUT the spicy stuff!

My aunt wasn't too pleased with her salad. It was huge in size which is cool but paying $13 for a salad she could have made at home didn't make her (one of the cheapest people alive) too happy. I agreed with her, there was nothing special about the salad and the lettuce looked a bit aged. The service here is good. Nice waitstaff, cool manager (gave my annoying little cousin ice cream to shut her up), and fast overall service.

I took a friend here today to take advantage of their 20% off Veteran's Day discount.

The best thing I can say about the place was that the staff was friendly.

The clientele was made up of large groups of screaming kids and their inattentive parents (this is not the restaurant's fault, of course, but it IS an accurate description of who you'll be "dining" with).

The food was horrifying.  We ordered shrimp and white beans--the shrimp was rubbery, overcooked, and DROWNING in garlic.  I suspect the beans had been left sitting in a pot of water for 27 WEEKS.  Our half of a pepperoni pizza was serviceable.  The shrimp and crab "fundue" was atrocious. The dip had the consistency of airplane glue and was likely shipped in from a bowling alley snack bar.  The accompanying cold, hard  garlic toast was smeared in what tasted like movie theater popcorn butter.

I'm remembering now why I haven't been to Uno's since high school.

Even though our meal was 20% off with my friend's Veteran's Day discount, it was NOT worth the price we paid.  Remember, kids, there's no such thing as a free dinner!

where do you go when you're craving Chicago style pizza?
    Uno's... duh!

you want to catch a game on t.v., but you're 15 mins from home.
    Uno's... duh!

your friends want pasta, you want a burger, i want a pizza.
    Uno's... duh!

you're broke and need to eat and drink cheap.
    Uno's Happy Hours 9pm-close... duh!

i heart that Uno's is located in Bay Ridge. i'm always around here, so it's nice to have an option other than typical pizza or fast food joints. the service here varies, but when you sit at the bar... you're always taken care of. =)

Uno is a great place to hang out with your friends, however the food there are only alright.
If you like pizza, this is definitely a place for you since you can create your own pizza and add the toppings you like to it. However, the bread sticks that come with the pasta keeps on getting worst. Once I bought my friend to Uno so she can just try the bread stick, but it didn't taste as good as the last time I went. The desserts are pretty good. You can get a big chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on it and share it with your friends. One thing I would recommend is the mashed potato; there are a lot of ingredients in it and it taste amazing! However, from what I heard from my friends, one thing that does not taste too good is the steak.

I just got back from Uno Chicago Grill where my family and I decided to celebrate for a congratulatory dinner. I've never been to one of these chains before and we checked the menu out on-line beforehand - looked good.

Upon entering, I was automatically turned off. We got seated at a booth that was unbearably tight (we are all average-sized), and the table was not only sticky, but chunks of the plastic wood cover thingy were ripped off. Also, the coat rack directly attached to our booth was hanging on my a screw, ever titling towards the direction of my father's head.

We ordered our selections to a waitress who could not have cared less, and waited. The typical American pub fare appetizers were very blah - bad calamari and mozzarella sticks (I know, how can you mess those up!). When we were finishing up, the waitress ran over to let us know that they were out of 10 oz. steaks, so 8oz. would have to do. Fine, okay. After a bit of waiting, we recieved our food but the waitress forgot two soups we ordered. We got those half-way into our meal. Also, I requested guacamole and waited...and waited. Finally, when the waitress made her way back over, I reminded her about the guacamole. She looked surprised. Apparently they were also out of guacamole and someone was supposed to come over and tell me. No one did.

The drinks were also very slow to come to our table. Glasses sat empty for a good 10-15 minutes, and trying to catch the attention of the waitress was near impossible.

Although the food was okay (slightly below average), with everything else, the place was just bad! I'm glad I know since I doubt I will ever go there again...unless severely inebriated.

Ok so I left my ID. And the waitress would not believe that I was 21.Thanks for the compliment. I went here for friends going away get together  and let me start off by saying, that the customer service here is great, the waitress always checked up on us. I ordered their greasey, heart attack inducing, deep dish pizza, it was actually pretty good, until I got home and bonded with the (TMI).Too bad I left my ID at home and couldn't drink. But one funny incident that occurred that night, was that this couple ordered drinks, ate, walked to what seemed to be the restroom and then they got tha f*ck atta the place without pay. It was quite sad to see the waitress asking where they went. They obviously pulled a Bonnie and Clyde on this place. LOL! Dat sh*t was funny and ghettorific. Let me stop, I don't condone to any criminal activities. But overall its a 3!

Uno is one of those chain restaurants that I think is odd to be placed in Bay Ridge.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, but when people live / work in Brooklyn, they have more options of mom and pop places to eat, and pizza is something you can find in almost any street corner.

Than again, the pizza is not deep dish like Uno.  Uno makes really good pizza, and every pie is a fresh one, made just for you.  It does take quite some time for the food to arrive, but when it does and you're locking eyes on your pie, you'll forget all about the wait.

The food is great.  It tastes just as good as any other UNO in any other city.  The service on the other hand could be better.  I usually come here during lunch time, and it is definitely not crowded.

One thing I don't like is running out of water, and one thing I hate is being thirsty for more than 5 minutes, but this is something you will have to get used to if you plan on eating here.

The lunch specials are affordable and delicious.  There are specials every  day of the week to change things up a bit.  They also arrive faster if you choose it.

Overall I like eating here, but Brooklyn is the home of mom and pop restaurants.  Than again, when I crave deep dish, I know exactly where to go - without having to cross a bridge.

Service is good, the staff is good and so friendly and help you at  a seconds notice,, the interior is very nice and it has cozy feel for such a big place,, its very clean and well kept , its a Italian fast chain in an Italian community so that being said forget pasta dishes none of is better then u can get at any local pizzeria that's authentic so stick to appetizers and deep pizza its a winner ,, i have order delivery few times  and will probably keep doing that ,, but i cant ever sit in that place again....

its so SO GHETTO , like you wont believe,  unless you have been there i can not begin to describe it.. its not the staff or the place or the food  but the people who go there,, some will swear its not that ghetto but they are also ghetto and as we all know  you cant take their word for it,, when you walk in its like you been transported to the south Bronx  or some other place like that..  i don't no why they just didn't open in place like ,it would just been more logical very few folks in the area go there,,,i had heard from others in the neib that it was not bay ridge  or park slope friendly.  it brings in some problems... i didn't understand till i decided to sit in eat,,

i must of heard the N word about 3 dozens times followed by bitch and ho  and the most offensive thing was of having to listen to cellphone conversations were it was  entirely made up  N-word this and bitch that,,.lol.. not once not twice but about 7 separate people , men and women .

if you live in bay ridge or park slope  or near and crave deep dish ,best call for delivery , but sitting there to have your senses bombarded will not be a great experience and may dissuade you from ordering there, the deep dish is decent , but  somethings are best kept to a phone call for delivery

This place is best to hang out at the bar.

I never feel like an outsider in this place, and the bartenders make you feel welcome.   They do the brand loyalty building a bit much, but their Snack hours 4pm to 7pm and then again from 10pm till close, are really a good deal.  The portions are a little smaller than the full priced appetizer, but that's a good thing.

It's "ok" for sports at this location, but I'm not wild about the sizes and locations of their TV's.  Frankly, they're just too small, and here, size definitely matters.

I've sat down to eat many times here, and the service is sometimes a bit slow.   That seems to me to have more to do with the kitchen, and how orders are placed and prioritized, and if there is a group of 20 yapping little kids in there having a birthday party.

All in all a good choice.

It's nice to come here to go to a big restaurant for a change, most eateries that I go to are so small. Food is always reliable. Broccoli and cheese soup, addicting. Service is hit or miss, but was impressed that they carried Bud Light Lime.

Last yr I had gone here late, around 10 pm, they said "feeding time" stops at 11, I think they meant the kitchen closes at 11.

I was surprised to find an Unos in Brooklyn, just because I always see Applebees but not restaurants like Unos around where I live. Anyways, I've always loved the food at Unos and I was ecstatic when I found one at 4th Ave. My bf and I come here frequently now and there are both ups and downs.

The first time we came here, our waiter was superb. Very attentive, was always around when we need him, great work. The second time we came here, we were seated, but for the next 25 minutes, we didn't know who our waiter was, and no waiters came over to help us. When he finally came to greet us, that was the ONLY time we even saw him for the rest of the night. We pretty much just asked random waiters to help us take our orders, etc, but they get pretty stingy about not being our primary waiter. o_O The third time we came here, our waitress was pretty busy and MIA but when we do get a hold of her, she was a sweet girl. So.. to sum it all up, the service here sucks. If only they were as good as the food here. Shame.

The food is phenomenal. I always get the chicken parm at the one in South Street Seaport, and it's been my usual dish. When I ordered it here at 4th Ave, I was pleasantly surprised to find it crispy and even tastier than I remembered. I also tried the shrimp tikka masala (it's an appetizer, but can be good for an entree) and it was disappointing.. but worth a try. The shrimp was fine, but the rice was like.. mini hard chewy peanuts.. and by the time I got thru the rice halfway my teeth started to hurt from all the hard chewing.. :( I also got one of the chicken broccoli dishes (forgot the exact name, I think it was spinnocoli?) and it was pretty good, which is shocking cause I'm not a huge veggie fan, but I ended up eating all the broccoli here. It would make my Mom proud. Last but not least, you should definitely try the Mini Macadamia Nut .... chunky white deep dish sundae ajdjajldlaflka! Just get the dessert with the longest name that only costs you $1.99. I can't remember the full name of the dessert if my life depended on it, it has like nine words in it. But it's SO good, and you need to have it. Trust me.

All in all, excellent food as always, but poor customer service. :(

PS: If you ask for water... make sure you look in your cup first.. we asked for two glasses of water and right away we saw a dead mosquito in one of them. Kinda weird since it was JUST MADE so how can the waiter NOT see it floating around the top??

I know it may not be the classiest joint but for a casual lunch or dinner I love this place and I give it 5 stars. I really like the menu a lot, it's huge, there's someone for everyone and I just love the items I usually get...Grilled CHicken with mango salsa, sliders, veggie soup, or a ceaser salad...I have no complains about any of these dishes, ONCE only they over cooked my slider burgers and when the waitress saw that I only had a bite and left it alone she politely asked if it was okay and I admitted it was overcooked so she took it off our bill...I didnt even ask. Peach or Mint Iced Teas are awesome, I love the french fries too...I like the atmosphere when it's not too busy, otherwise it can get very loud. Nice size seating booths, good lighting, friendly bartender and good staff, MOST of them, once in a while you get a nut...but thats anywhere.

Summary: Great food, Relaxed and Casual Atmosphere, Fair Prices, Good Service...I go on a regular basis.

Everyone knows what Uno's is like.  This isn't the one in Chicago, this is Brooklyn, and of course, there will always be a little Brooklyn attitude.  Head straight to the bar and stay there.  You can order everything on the menu at the bar and this way you aren't sitting next to little Madison, Kayla and Jayden and their sticky sippy cups.  You can watch the flat screen TVs and enjoy in peace.  The bartender is very attentive and the Late Night Snack Menu is a great bargain.  And if you have been very good, order a $1.99 little size dessert and call it night.

I've been eating at the Uno's for years and the quality has changed a lot.  The menu keeps changing as well as the prices; however, the food just doesn't seem as good.  Ordered blackened salmon and it was the most skinniest piece of fish i've ever received in a restaurant.  The mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables were oily; the steamed vegetables looked better and probably did.  The shrimp scampi was alright, huge shrimps and not as oil as scampi is in other restaurants.  The decor seemed to be falling apart and the area they seated us in smelled a little funny, but that may have been food.

On my third consecutive day eating pizza this weekend, It was suggested that I come along for Pizzeria Uno. Being that I had not been there in what felt like about 10 years, I was all for it. I ordered the deep dish Chicago classic, and I really thought it was small when I passed another table that someone had gotten it at. But it proved to be another gut buster. The two Sam Adams winter lagers didnt help, and Ive been in a nice beer/food coma for a few hours now, just coming out. I'm glad I came in, kind of like saying whats up to an old friend, but wont mind not dropping in again for another ten years.

The pizza is pretty decent, and it is kind of nice to get deep-dish while in NYC, even if it's not up to real Chicago snuff. On the other hand - Uno's comes with the standard chain favorites, lackluster service, just OK drinks. if I never stepped into another cookie-cutter corperatized resturaunt... I could live with that.

I used to come here more often, but the last few times I've been here the service hasn't been as good.  But I still here from time to time when I'm craving some deep dish.  And some of their entrees aren't bad either.

    I was here... March 2007.

I remember it being really crowded, really slow on bringing our food, really expensive (around 20/dish), really fatty (flood of oil on the plate's bottom).

Let's say this restaurant needs some re-familiarizing in hopes of being a better experience.

The shrimp pasta was alright, the pizza tasted okay (I think family-made pizzas taste much better...), the dessert was not so good (tasted like store-bought cake topped with a scoop of cheap ice cream and squirted chocolate fudge). This raspberry icetea was greeeat though.

Let me start off by stating, I have no explanation why I went here in the first place, other then the delicious smell that radiates out of this place every time i walk to the gym.
This place is great to go if you really dont care bout nutrition or diet and want to laugh at people while you completely slob it. The crowd here is horrr-riiible-sss, think kings plaza meets Staten Island. No self respecting person from Bay Ridge would ever be caught dead eating here, its mostly the 86th street shopper types who ventured around looking for a familiar place to eat (you kno the type, who only at franchise food) The staff here is quite amusing, a rag tag collection of knuckleheads and hoodrats. Must give credit to the eastern european guy with the moustache who I saw spill a tray of drinks on an aunt jemima type, it looked like a scene out of Borat. The food is just below mediocre and the only thing i can reccomend is the desserts which all guarantee that you ll be a disgrace on the beaches come summer.
I really hope this place goes out of business and is replaced by something more respectable. Til then I guess its a good place to wine n dine your 17 year old dyme piece from the projects on a friday nite out.

Great place to relax and knock off a few with a hollow leg, catch a game or a tasty bite.

Master mixologist Chris Diaz along with Mikey,Wilson, and Tina are great bar company.

Great staff along with a cozy brick decor and social ambience makes this place a must for anyone looking to relax and enjoy a good time.

Most importantly huge menu with excellent prices, great location

You have to be a complete asshole, seriously, to say anything negative about this place unless you were on your way to some snotty steakhouse and got lost. I go here for good, tasty and relaxed American fare- especially when a big game is on. All plasma screens and always packed. The waitresses aren't hot, which keeps me honest and helps me concentrate on the so-called food. The best part is my wife always pays!
