Review from P M.

Being Portuguese, this is my family's go-to spot for Portuguese essentials!
I love the Portuguese sandwich buns, especially the semi whole-wheat ones -- a nice, healthier option!
the massa (sweet bread) is great! It's a nice for a snack, quick breakfast, and when it is a bit older -- toast it and it tastes delicious with butter.
the sweets (egg tarts) are a hit with the family as well (we have tried many and unless they are homemade, these are the best we have found!)
and my favorite is the Sumol (sweet carbonated drink). I prefer the maracuja (passionfruit) kind and it is a great treat! -

* Nice Portuguese Bakery *
I'm not sure why I never noticed this spot before, as it seems to have been around for a long time. Apparently it used to be owned by a Portuguese family, who sold it to an Asian family that used to work there. But it has kept many of the traditional Portuguese products on offer.
I grabbed a quick sandwich, which was prepared on a nice Portuguese roll. It was a simple affair with mustard, and your choice of sliced meat and sliced cheese - which they sliced after you ordered. They had a nice selection of meats and cheeses to choose from. Priced very reasonably at $3.50.
They also had 5 different types of tarts (including, you guessed it - Portuguese egg tart!). The egg tart had a nice flaky crust, the top of the custard was slightly caramelized. The custard was a bit too firm, but overall a nice tart!
They had a nice selection of Portuguese sweets and breads, which I may sample on a future visit.
This is a straightforward and tasty little Portuguese bakery - worth stopping in to sample the goods.
