Hidden by the side of the Harley Davieson bike shop on Boundary is an unsuspecting little eating hole. I went there because of the reviews. The food was very good, and will go again. The ambience is very 'trucker' with a very male audience. But, great servings of fresh food is the main reason I'd go again.
Don't go there on a date. Don't go there expecting anything but great focus on food, in a kind of canteen setting.

First off, a confession. If Uncle Nick's were in any other part of town, I would probably never eat here. And that would be too bad. Because while Nick's is definitely the only decent lunch place within walking distance of Vanoc HQ, it would be a good eat anywhere.
Since I started eating there, the veg lasagna has been my favourite. I'm not a meat eater, so I can't report on the half-grilled chicken or moussaka I've seen others enjoying from experience, but I have certainly heard many an ooh and ah. I don't ever buy breakfast, but I've nibbled on a colleague's, and yum!
My only disappointment to date has been the panino I ordered last week, and that was because I would have preferred more panino, and less coleslaw. Overall, I'd say the specials here are probably the way to go. And since they range from the above mentioned chicken, lasagna and moussaka, to poached salmon, beet salad and who knows what else, there really are options for everyone. Eat up! -

I'm sorry to inform you that Uncle Nick's closed its doors. They apparently still offer catering services.
