Believe the hype - Uncle Fatih's Pizza is that good. After hearing about it repeatedly we gave their delivery a try and it was definitely worth it. We may never go back to those big brands again!
You can order online right from their website, which is very modern, straight-forward, and easy to use. No frustrating errors or archaic systems, just a great website with pictures of each pizza and descriptons of what's on them - and of course the option to build your own. What's more - if you build your own, the quoted price includes 5 toppings. That's 2-3 toppings more than the competitors usually offer! I didn't check to see if sauce and cheese count as toppings, however. For payment, it allows you to use all major payment methods, even Paypal. The Abbott Street location was the closest to us and their closing time was shown as 2 am, which is pretty good, although for late-night deliveries you have to call in orders.
We ordered some classic standards for the first try, opting to save the specialties for next time. They had no pre-made deluxe, so I decided to add some pepperoni to a vegetarian pizza. The meat-lovers and veggie-lovers arrived in about half an hour, still hot and fresh and smelling delicious. The delivery guy was very kind and polite and even made a point to thank me specifically for the tip, which was nice. He was really touting the pizza, telling me I was going to love it, and it's not just because he works there, it really is that good. But of course he would say that, right?
Well, he wasn't just saying that. It was great! At first glance it looks like one of your el-cheapo Granville Street specials, however once you bite in you realize it's a lot better than those others. The crust was nice and hot and crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside just the way I like it. Sometimes I get a certain craving for the practically deep-fried crusts of the Hut, but Uncle Fatih's is about as perfect as a regular non-thin, non-deep-dish crust can get. Bonus, they use sesame seeds on the outside. The toppings were perfectly fresh and high-quality, chopped finer than I'm used to but that's no drawback. The sauce was generous, so there's no need to ask for extra.
Speaking of sauces, they have an assortment of dipping ones like most pizza places. We opted for hot sauce and ranch. The ranch was standard, the hot was HOT. Maybe a little too hot. But there are a bunch of options so we'll try something else next time.
Sadly, they forgot the pepperoni I wanted added to my veggie pizza. Or we forgot it, I'm not sure. We originally started ordering extra larges but decided to downsize to large, and I have a feeling it reset the add-ons when we did that. Or they forgot it, who knows.
Price-wise, it was definitely competitive. They had a promo for two larges, and were definitely large, and with the extra sauces it came to about $43 after tax and a generous tip. To me, two large pizzas under $40 is a pretty sweet deal. Sometimes the big names have some crazy cheap promos or of course there's always Granville Street, but I can definitely live with that price for two hot, fresh, quality pizzas delivered to my door. We will most definitely be ordering from Uncle Fatih's again! -

3.5 stars, I really enjoyed my slice of pizza pie here. Crispy underneath, sesame seeds on the crust and a good assortment to choose from.
Whole wheat crust would be even better!
Two pizza slices for $4 eh? Great food just before a soccer game!
I also really like this area now! It's changed so much! Kinda wish I lived here.Listed in: FAST AND FURIOUS FOOD

Ever since I started having sesame seeds on my pizza crusts, I never looked back. I live in the Northshore, and drive over the bridge every time I order pizzas. They don't skimp on the ingredients, an the service is always friendly.
Also if you walk in an buy a slice of pizza, what do you expect when you buy something that has been sitting under heat lamps or lord knows how long? Buy a freshly made pizza. -

Pretty decent slice of pizza for $2.00
Even had a crunchy crust. -
Review from Wendy Y.
My pesto cheese was exponentially better than my partner's Hawaiian.
Even though my slice of pizza wasn't a "blow job from god" as yelped by Johnson C (posted on Nov 6th, 2011), it was pretty close to being orgasmic. Despite the fact that I couldn't taste much of the pesto, every square centimeter on top of my slice was evenly covered with cheese.
The crust wasn't thick like Pizza Hut's (yuk!) but it wasn't thin either. I was expecting some sort of doughy taste but nope... I got none of that. The edge of the crust was crunchy and had a fried texture, similar to that of Olympia's pizza crust (Denman St).
I smiled impishly and couldn't help but to let out content sighs.
Hawaiian pizza is another story on its own. The crust, which was slightly thinner than mine, surprisingly tasted doughy. The poignant pork smell from the ham was enough to make my head turn away.
Pesto cheese, I will be back for you.Listed in: Fast (and not so healthy) Food

Review from Evilyn T.
Such a disappointing experience. After having a few slices at the location on the the drive I was super stoked that there was a new location within delivery distance to our house. My first attempt to order from them was on New Year's Day, but apparently they were closed, and when I tried calling the Cambie location they refused to deliver to me, even though we are only 3.3km away from them (yes I google mapped it cuz I was annoyed, and the Abbott location is 2.8km away).
My second experience was last night, a lazy Sunday, the Golden Globes were on TV and who wouldn't want to order in pizza and chill out while making your own commentary on who's wearing what? I decided to try out the online ordering system and sent in my request for two small veggie pizzas at about 6:10pm. An hour later, with a rumbly stomach and no pizza, I called the store. (I should have done this right away as most other places who have online ordering systems call you to confirm your order and I didn't receive a phonecall). Apparenlty they forgot to check their online ordering system, so had just received my order when I called in. Sweet, an hour wasted and no dinner! They said it would take another 25 minutes if I was still interested in waiting. I grumbled and moaned and said yes, and waited....
By about 7:45pm the door buzzer went off (even though I had left instructions for the delivery driver to call my phone number upon arrival since our buzzer doesn't actually buzz people in). I ran downstairs to pay him, they only charged me for one pizza (as well they should have) and the delivery boy fumbled around with the receipt and the pizza moving at less than a turtle's pace (and by this point I was super annoyed because we were supposed to be going out at 8pm, so it was painful to watch him be so unorganzied). I still tipped him, since it wasn't his fault that the pizza was late, but I feel its pretty ridiculous that we are expected to tip for such poor service. When I got in to my apartment and opened the pizza I realized they had also given us the wrong shakers and dips. Great. I had ordered chili flakes and ranch, and paid for an extra pesto dipping sauce. I got one garlic and one ranch instead, but at that point I was so frustrated that it was was humerous, and I couldn't be bothered to call them and complain. The pizza was average, and didn't even taste the same as the slices I had on the drive, but perhaps that's because I couldn't get the bitter taste out of my mouth. The whole experience was a joke, and I doubt I would bother ordering from them again. -

First off, your pizza is good, probably one of the best if I was to compare you to other chain, store front like, serve it, price wise places that I am comparing you to, that said, with my slice of Hawaiian, it just didn't wow me, and blow my tastebuds away like others who have described you, and my piece was not as good as the pesto cheese of my partner's, who was holding on it for dear life, and hoping my sharkly mouth (and hunger) didn't gobble away her slice of gooey goodness.
Don't worry about it, this will not be my last time I come here, and you will have many chances, especially at your other locations, as this was my very first time at an 'Uncle Fatih's' and I will try your other selectable choices of pizza variety, and I hope to find the right slice for myself.
This location is one of the newer ones I have seen, close to a Skytrain station, and I bet this place gets jammed when there is an event going on at Rogers Arena. For the price you are paying, you are getting a pretty good slice, ahem, compared to across the street. Nice and clean, if you decide to even sit in, and watch the people walk by while you have a hot slice at your fingertips. -

I'm glad I'm not the only one because before this place opened, they already had the sign up, I called it Uncle Faiths for months!! lol Then I realized it was Uncle Fatihs
Anywaaaays, you know how people say, first expressions are really important? For sure! The first time I bought pizza there, it was burnt. And I never turned back. THE END.
Maybe one day, I will sum up the courage to go back and actually try another slice of pizza (one that's not burnt) -

I went here because Fresh Slice pizza was closed.
The service here is good, and it has a good environment outside.
But the Pizza is awful, it is dry, refilled with crap. Last time I almost puke. -

Mr. X always says that the pizza here is the best... I didn't get it... But then it opened nearby and he raved about it to the rest of our friends. Finally i said i would treat him once it opened.
We walked in to a place that was still under construction but there were around five to six varieties to choose from. We got the bacon mushroom and Hawaiian..at two dollars a slice i thought they were a little smaller than places like fresh slice and 1001 favours but when you think about it.. Do you really need that much pizza?
I noticed immediately that the slices had sesame seeds on them and they did not look greasy at all. I took a bite of each and understand why he likes it so much. The pizza here was not heavy and full of flavour. The topping are evenly distributed and you feel like you are having a good meal.
The service was courteous and their choices to order are extensive and unique.
Faiths and fresh slice (opened across the street) are going to have some good competition. -

As far as quick take away pizza is concerned, these guys blow away the competition (Fresh Slice) Toppings are good, lots of cheese... but there are a few issues... The crust is sometimes inconsistent, and sometimes the pizza sits up front for quite a while.
The staff is really super friendly, and its convenient for a quick snack, but I only give 3 stars, because they were definately 5 stars when they opened, and something is just lacking since then.... cant quite put my finger on it.
all in all, good pizza, great prices, but just don't expect the world for $2 pizza slices ! -
Review from Erin U.
I dont think its as good as the location by the skytrain but that can only be expected considering it isnt nearly as busy. When there is a game tho be warned its very close to the stadium and drunk cheering or booing fans will rock this place. They do have ranch, hot and garlic sauce tho. Which I dont think the one on the drive has. mmmmmm sesame seed crust!

To this day I still think 'Uncle Faith' before correcting myself to 'Uncle Fatih'.
I'm excited to see the Uncle grow his pizza awesomeness to this 4th location. I was worried that quality would suffer with this growth, but luckily not.
Is it as good as the original on Broadway? Almost. Crust was bang on. Crisp and perfect thickness. At the time, the selection was a tad limited, but had the staples.
With a new modern interior with shiny new equipment and TV menu, this is a step up.
More UFP locations please.Listed in: Best Cheap Eats

Uncle Fatihs just opened another location of it's new franchise, right on the edge of gas town and around the corner from GM Place. I really like the pizza on the Commercial location, so this West end contribution peaked my curiosity.
They were already busy when I ordered, while they stocked their fridge for the very first time! They had all the specialty pizzas that made the first Uncle Fatihs so unique, including chorizo, spicy chicken, and plain pesto. However, as I bit in to my first two slices, which had to be reheated, the crust seemed nearly rock hard. But I can give them some slack on opening day, even if their crust had none.
Otherwise, the restaurant has tables and a pretty spacious interior, along with a whole new style reminiscent of other gas town locations. It's obvious that they're trying a much more upscale look with this newest addition, but their slices are still the same price as the grungy hole in the wall they've always owned. And it's still got old Fatih's face all over it.
it's nearly impossible to review a new franchise without comparing it to the original. So far, they're almost good and on opening day they already have the ball rolling. At least the staff seem optimistic about it, every one of them greeted me. I know I'm going to check back in a week, or sooner for my by-the-slice fix.Listed in: Dive Eats, Pizza Pizza Pizza

The small Hawaian that I got from them felt like a sodium bomb. I promptly drank all the beverages that I had, and got up 2 times during the night to drink a glass of water. Woke up bloated as if I was stung by a bee. Meh.

one of the best drunken-pizza places ever. great toppings on their pizzas, open late, reasonably priced, and close to home. not more you could ask for from a pizza place.

I love the original location, and was pleased to see this new one lives up to the original. Selection is varied, and pizza is fresh!
