The Pizza here is absolutely amazing!

The only problem is if you come on a saturday around dinner time...you may not get the toppings you want.

My favourite Pizza there is the Spicy Chicken and Potato Vegetarian.

The fresh vegetables, lean mean, tomato sauce and crisp dough are perfect! Not only is it cheap, good but they also have free ranch, franks red hot, chilli flakes and parmesan to put on top!

Where else can you get 2 slices of pizza a pop for $5 and have it actually feel like real food! Not greasy over cheesed crap!

    Done...Eat here!

Great thick not too greasy for your #feedmegrease hangover afternoons

Cannot go wrong ever with Uncle Faith's if your looking for pizza by the slice! Why would you go across the road for corporate fresh slice when the name is an oxymoron and when you could eat at a place with faith in the name!

don't be hindered by the line up it goes fast!

Yum! Finally a place that doesn't have stale dried up looking veggie pizza by the slice! In fact they had quite a few veggi eoptions, so I had to pick and choose. I ended up with a cheese one, and a pesto and olive one, and both were super good. I had some of the garlic sauce on the side with my crust, since it should be mandatory for all pizza places to have dipping sauce.

We got in there just in time, cuz by the time we sat at the counter and started chowing down a whole bunch of people came in and suddenly there was a lineup, and it didn't stop until we left. I grabbed a takeout menu as well, cuz I usually order from Panago, but sometimes I need a change, and I think Unlce Fatih is the change I have been waiting for.

A popular, bustling little pizza shop on Broadway and Commercial - by the slice style with takeout options.  As recommended by Mark H and Johnson C in their 20-minute convo on how mind-blowing this pizza was, I just had to try it. Okay, so it's pretty darn good for by the slice!  I asked for their two most popular pizzas and was handed the blue cheese and Hawaiian. Tasty, hearty and highly satisfies a need for some greasy goodness.  If you're looking for a cheap pizza joint, going Uncle Fatih is a win!

    What`s more:
    - All of their pizzas are FULLY LOADED with toppings - so tantalizing!
    - $4.50 for two slices and a drink
    - $32 for two extra large pizzas to go
    - Speedy service

Pizza slices are $2 a slice now.  Boo.

Buying 8 slices costs $16.50... so you pay $0.50 for the box.  Although I didn't realize the math at the time.

As I always said, Hawaiian pizza is the king of all pizzas.  But they are always sold out, especially on weekend nights.  So, I always ask if they have another one coming out -- and I'll wait no matter how long it is.

So my compadres ate their heatlamped beef & blue cheese, meat lover's and cheese slices.  Before long, they were finished and cursing me out for making them wait in the cold so I can get one slice of that delicious ham and pineapple.

I held my ground and perched on those crappy plastic chairs and went on my diatribe on why Hawaiian pizza is superior to all pizzas - lecturing my group of premature pizza eaters who were getting hungry again.

After waiting about 5 minutes, I got my slice.  As I ate my delicious fresh-out-the-oven Hawaiian pizza as the group looked on.  One quiveringly asked me, "How is it?"

I paused between bites.  I looked skyward.  I let out a Rick Ross-style grunt... "Uuuhhh".  I pause again.  I wipe my face and speak slowly and deliberately so the gravity of my words cannot be mistaken:

"It's like getting a blowjob... from God."

Although they may say I was drunk - I meant it.  Every word.

One my friends tries to run inside to grab one of the remaining 7 slices of Hawaiian pizza but there's a lineup (again).  And it's sold out by the time he gets to order.

We all laughed at my friend for the rest of the night and I kept talking about how delicious my Hawaiian pizza was.

Thanks to Uncle Fatih for setting up a perfect troll moment for me.

Uncle Fatihs is the king of the cheap pizza slices in Vancouver. No matter how hard I try and just walk past when I have some change rattling in my pocket I just dont have the will power to say no to potato pizza. If only they would steal megabites garlic mayo I would've bumped my rating to 5 stars. Always open really late so its a savior the next day after drinking.

The BEST Pizza in Vancouver!!!  Order delivery to avoid the in-store challenges that some of the others have experienced.  The pizza comes as if you ordered double or triple toppings from one of the other major chains that deliver.  I got a  Medium pizza-7 toppings- delivered $16.50...REALLY???  I would have (and have) paid double for a pizza that size with that many toppings. Super Fresh! I am a bit of a foodie who rarely eats quicky pizza but for real if I want pizza I won't be sitting Nicli (although it's amazing) I will be at home devouring one of these bad boys! If you have to go in store.. I like the attitude of the staff at the Abbott St. location always about the customer E. Broadway is hit and miss.

I ordered two slices -one was a chicken pizza and the other, vegetarian.  When I ordered both - the guy at the counter asked me if I wanted it on separate plates which was nice, seeing as many other places don't put two and two together that their patrons may be vegetarian.

The chicken pizza had a fair amount of chicken, diced peppers, sesame seeds, parsley and a good amount of cheese and sauce. What I like about the pizza here is that they pack the toppings on but the crust is not soggy from the weight. The crust is not oily either. There was definitely a good taste to the pizza with the ingredients - better than most fast food pizza places.

My second pizza which was the vegetarian one was very good. It had red peppers, spinach, artichokes, onions, olives and sesame. I'm a huge fan of artichokes and when I can get a lot of it on my pizza, I'm a happy gastroforker.

Thanks to Mark H. for reminding me about Uncle Fatih's, - I haven't been here for years!

As I walked into the pizza joint, I noticed that nothing has really changed and my memories of late night pizza runs came flooding back.  How did I ever forget about Uncle Fatih's in the first place is beyond me.

I picked up my pizza order and drove home.  That drive felt like longest ride home.  I ended up opening one of the boxes and taking a bite out of the Potato Pizza at a red light.  Yes, I could have waited but I don't care.  You just put carb on carb for me as a meal...I don't stand a chance!  This was indeed the best pizza I've eaten in a long time.

This place has ruined dinner so many times for me. Seriously, it is impossible to walk by Broadway and Commercial without smelling Fahti's delicious pizza or seeing happy looking people walk by scarfing down pizza slices. When you're on your way to the grocery and experience that it's almost impossible not to get sucked in!

My favorite is the good 'ol ham and pineapple, but if i want to delude myself into feeling like i didn't eat anything too unhealthy, a veggie slice with no cheese is also delish! You don't even miss the cheese because it is so crammed with delicious, delicious vegetables and olives. My boyfriend and me got delivery from them once and were super impressed. It came fast, was fresh and was the same taste as what you get when you go to their store and order a slice.

Coming here makes me feel so connected to the humanity. Everyone is my brother or my sister, and we all have a favorite uncle named Fatih!

I have consumed many slices of pizza from Fatty's (that's what everyone calls it, in case you didn't know).  What can I say?  It's cheap, tasty, and conveniently located.  It's open late and right across from the Rio theatre so you can grab a slice in between films during a Friday double-feature night.

In the spirit of providing an honest review I must say that last December I got just horrendous food poisoning here.  After getting off work I grabbed two slices on my way to a friends' house and within a couple hours was incredibly sick and spent the night in the hospital on an IV drip and morphine.

However, I do not know anyone else who has gotten sick from eating here so I think it was just bad luck.  I'm sure that with any dining establishment someone is going to get food poisoning at some point no matter what, so I'm not going to hold it against them.

After the Pavlovian association with pizza and vomit I developed as a result of this incident had worn off I conceded to order some pizza during an evening with friends.  They have a really good deal on three mediums and the delivery was of reasonable speed.  I actually QUITE enjoyed my four cheese pizza.

I was very thirsty afterwards, so it was perhaps a bit on the salty side, but we all know salt makes things delicious.

50% of the time, the pizza is good everytime.
The consistency is REALLY off. Sometimes there are tons of toppings and the pizza is delicious. Others, there are 2 tomatoes and 3 onions on each slice... no sauce an little tasteless cheese.
Theyve tried to over charge us and not show us the receipt.

I have this place in my phone as Uncle F, as if I really am related to whoever opened this Vancouver institution. If I'm into cheeseless pizza, this is the place I order from or go to. They put so many toppings on their pizzas that you barely miss the cheese. The potato pizza is a particularly exciting one. Yum. Also, I don't know anywhere that you get so much value for so little coin - especially vegan-friendly. Seriously awesome.

A note: if you order a cheeseless pizza, VERIFY. They regularly question my sanity when I order a pizza without cheese, and twice I have forgotten to emphasize the cheeselessness of the pizza and have gotten one with cheese. If you order online, add a note that you don't want cheese. They are super good about remaking your pizza and delivering a new one quickly, but it's always nice to not have to deal with that.

This is the only pizza parlour in Vancouver that I'm aware of that boasts a poem dedicated to it's fresh and delicious pizza pies.

Uncle Fatih's is something of a fixture on Commercial Drive but with franchises starting to pop up all over the city I figured I'd throw my review-hat into the ring.

This place is hands down the best affordable walk-in pizza place in the city. There may be restaurants that make better pizza but not for $2 a slice. The red pepper and roast potato is huge fan favourite and one of mine as well.

The beef and blue cheese is always a save bet if you're the type that likes sauce on their pizza.

With stand-by staples and creative alternatives, Uncle Fatih's is definitely the place to grab-n-go a few slices.

Best pizza joint in town. Hands down! If you go during super off hours the pizza selection might be a bit less but if you are getting a full pizza they will always cook one fresh for you!! super cheap and they throw out really old slices. Potatoe pizza and the feta sundried tomato one rock my world!! Also uncle fatih himself can be seen there occasionally and he is a great man indeed

Uncle Fatih's used to be the best pizza in the city. Since they have franchised, and continue to up their prices, we have fallen out of love with this place. It used to be an extra large pizza, wings, jalapeno poppers, a chocolate cake, and a liter of coke for $20!! Now its $5 for 2 slices and a pop (used to be $2.95). They no longer offer wings or extras, just pizza.

Prices continue to rise and our hearts and stomachs continue to be sad.

I miss the real Uncle Fatih's!

You know, science hasn't confirmed or denied the existence of angels, but I'm pretty sure that if I was to eat one it would taste somewhat similar to eating a slice of Uncle Fatih's...

I love Uncle Fatih's, love it for it's unique flavours and lighter-than-air crust.

Could I safely say that it's the best in Vancouver?

No, because I haven't tried all the places in Vancouver. Plus I'm looking for that Holy Grail of pizza places, open 24/7 and offering unique flavour combos such as Butter Chicken or almôndega with peas and gravy, but such things are elusive, like the wind, or a girlfriend who truly appreciates a good skin flick; but like those two, you'll only know they're there once you feel it on your face.

    But I'm getting off topic.

Uncle Fatih's, a cheapass pizza joint on one of the busiest corners in all Vancouver, Commercial and Broadway, has one of the most unique toppings on his pizzas that I've seen outside of Amato's in Toronto.

Beef and blue cheese, spicy chicken or potato. These flavour offerings are as unique as fingerprints, diamonds, or you, my little snowflake.

As this is considered "dollar pizza", the term has lost all meaning with Uncle Fatih. At $2.25 a slice (or $3.60 for 2 slices and a pop), this place does away with the cheap, greasy pepperoni for a buck and replaces it with something your tastebuds would offer you sexual services for "just one more hit, baby!"

Do them and yourself a favour, Jonestown, just go.

    Uncle Fatih's: you should go.

Uncle Fatih's is probably the 'best pizza on the go' joint in Vancouver.  Maybe that's why he now has opened three other locations.  I usually go to the one on Broadway/Commercial.  Even though MegaBite and Fresh Slice are close by, I always come here for a pizza lunch.   Two slices and a pop for $4.50.

I'm not a vegetarian butI really enjoy the various vegetarian varieties this place offers, especially the potato pizza.  I like the crispier and thinner crust of Uncle Fatih's and always find the pizza fresh.

Above all, Uncle Fatih is a local business, and all the meats used on the pizzas are halal.  I think halal means that the animals are treated humanely.  Have you seen Avatar? - how the aliens gave thanks to the animals they killed for meat.  I think the idea is similiar.

My favorites to get here are Beef and Blue Cheese and Ham and Pineapple.  Had the Sausage & Peppers, but the others are much better.  Trust me.

Open late, so you can eat great lol.  This is one of the better pizza joints in Vancouver.  Must give it a try.

2 slice for $4.  Plus a can of pop for $4.50.  They have a few chairs inside and a couple more on the outside.  Parking is sometimes an issue during the day so I always come here for late night eats.

OK, first off before I get into my rant, Uncle Faith's is the best of the worst pizza places on the drive.  If you want a cheap slice, you can't do better.  If you want a cheap pie, go here.

There are 2 classes of pizza places on The Drive.  You have your excellent high end pies from Marcello's and Lombardo's, both of which serve up a really fantastic product, and you have your dime a dozen crap hole pizza dives which are out to make a buck off slices.  The latter type seem to multiply on The Drive like vermin (though they're all slowly getting bought up by Megacrap).  Apparently The Drive has such an insatiable appetite for weak pizza that the recently opened Mediterranean Fire, which used to serve donair (yeah yeah, yet another donair place on the drive) changed their menu to serve crappy pizza slices because that's what everyone wants.

Of these bottom feeder pizza places there are very few that actually have a product that is even remotely differentiable from any of the others.  Urban Grain serves up their pies on a slightly different crust than most and I commend them for it.  The only other place on the drive that isn't Freshmegaslicegreasehole, is Uncle Faith's.  They actually put a decent amount of toppings on their pizza and seem to care about the quality of their product (though it could use a bit more cheese).  About that - it seems in Vancouver that pizza places get away with putting half as much cheese on their pizzas and serving it with range dressing as if you wouldn't notice that you got shafted on the cheese (seriously, bottom end pizza in Vancouver is worse than most everywhere else in N.America).

I know this has been a rambling post that has barely mentioned Uncle Faith's but I'm about to get to the reason I've come here to write this review at all.  Go to Uncle Faith's website.  No, stop reading and go there now and click on menu.  Here...  http://www.unclefatih.com

Are you back? Did you click on menu? Is that freaking fantastic or what? Seriously brilliant website - so amazingly easy to craft your pizza or select from their specialty pizzas then modify the toppings at no cost.  Coming to Canada from the states was really an eye opener in how minimally Vancouver businesses use the web and how poorly they do when they use it at all.  Here is one establishment that is doing it very very right.  Good pizza AND easy easy orders.

Its a great way to fill up if you don't feel like cooking and want to enjoy a a beer and pizza. I just loved their Beef and Blue Cheese Pizza. It is spiced right. Also worthy of mention is their website. It is very easy to use and simple. Keep it up Uncle Fatih.

Not going to re-hash all the comments for Uncle Fatih's, many good, some bad. Bad ones being clearly incorrect..just kidding..not really.

Anyway, specifically I wanted to review the website ordering system. No real kudos to the web designer as it looks kindof like a cheap blog theme and I found it a little klunky to use (you can't seem to edit your order?). I actually wasn't expecting it to work.

    7:41pm - order placed online
8:05pm - pizza arrives at door

24 minutes? Pretty damn good if you ask me. Online ordering is a go!

    Street pizza is awesome.

I came here on a whim while passing by the area.  The place is dirty-looking with paper plates blowing around on the sidewalk outside.  Excellent.  This, my friends, is how you know it's good.

They had 3 types of pizza available that day.  So, I did the Royal Sampler (Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Deluxe).  Cheap, tasty, flavourful.

Be sure to read this poem that some guy wrote about Uncle Fatih's.  It's in a frame between the windows on the inside.  Don't remember too much about the poem itself, but there was a mention about the pizza giving the writer an erection.  I'll admit there were a few good chuckles.

If you're ever doing a transfer at Broadway SkyTrain Station, be sure to make a pit stop here.  You can't go wrong.

Ok, some New Yorkers in particular are very picky about their pizza. They all say that New York has the best pizza and after many trips to NYC, I don't agree at all.
There might have been a time where pizza should only have certain topics, but I beleive those days are over. Pizza should be as creative as possible and Uncle Fatih's serves up a mean slice.
This is not gourmet pizza this is late night "hit's the spot" pizza.
    It's cheap, fast, and hot.
Usually this place is the busiest at 1 or 2 am, which indicates what type of joint it is.
They are always experimenting with new types like garlic and spinach and spicy eggplant, but the choices change so often you should really just check it out yourself.

Located very near Commercial/Broadway station, you can get 2 slices and a pop for $4 incl tax (It used to be $3.50). Always fresh you get a diverse selection. I personally love their potato pizza, mmm.

This place is not only the best buck a slice in town, it's a meeting place for people, it's open late, there is always fresh pizza under the heat lamps and those suns of bitches slave away in that tiny location for all the drunk ass east van kids at 1am.

best part is the hot and ranch sauce they provide as extra toppings.

I have a feeling if uncle Fatih's ever leaves, there will be a huge uproar about it.

I've met the guy who wrote that poem thats posted on their wall several times. He always forgets my name so I wont worry about him tracking me down. He's a bit of a creeper in real life which makes the poem creepy for me.  I challenge other folks to write a better one!

Firstly, I would like to absolve the myth surrounding the name of this pizzeria- it is not pronounced "Uncle Fatties," it is "Uncle Fa-tea-hhh" with a bit of a throaty influence on the h's. Be that as it may, the mispronunciation of the name only adds to the crunch.

Uncle Fatih's, albeit located on the East-SIDE *finger representation of  the "E" just in-case you missed it*, is widely known by many Vancouverites as 'the best pizza I've ever had.' That being said, if you're not comfortable with what the East-side dishes out, then I suggest grabbing a slice when it's light out- you know, safety first and all.

'It's a tight squeeze' is a bit of an understatement for Uncle Fatih's, so don't expect to dine-in; the patriots of this place know well enough that you get your pizza, get out, and stand there eating it on the corner of Commercial and Broadway.

If you're kind, you can buy a slice for someone on the block who's also hungry, and if you aren't, you can afford to be at Uncle Fatih's considering that you can get 2 large slices of pizza and a waterbottle slash a can of your poison, for only 4 dollars.

Recommended slice of heaven: Potato, Blue Cheese and Ground Beef, Sundried Toe-MA-toe or Atrichoke.

If you aren't sure which one you would like, a large pizza is ONLY $9.99; grab a slice of each pizza, take it home and decide which one you like best.

Score: Seriously, it's the best pizza I've ever had.

It's not bad for "ghetto slice" but my favourite cheap pizza remains 2001 Flavours on Seymour and Pender. I like my buck-a-slice just a bit more on the greasy side, and Uncle Fatih's was a tad too dry and crispy in the crust, plus a little chintzy with the toppings.

The people working there were quick and friendly, but the place itself was clogged with hipsters inside and out, and when the approximately five (?) chairs are all taken, there's nowhere else to sit and eat in the vicinity. Blarg. I'm getting old, aren't I?

My favourite pizza joint!  Abundant toppings of interesting combinations, hot, fresh, fast, and cheap.  Love the sesame seeds in the crust, too.  The artichoke, red pepper, black olive pizza is my absolute favourite.

PS.  Apparently they make somewhere around 300 to 500 pizzas per day -- can you believe it?   Fresh fresh fresh.

I called to see if Uncle Fatih's delivered in my neighbourhood (they do) and they guy I talked to was so nice! And then the delivery guy brought the pizza in the time frame that I was told on the phone and he was really nice too! And the pizza was delicious.

Good, friendly customer service + yummy pizza = *****

Uncle Fatih may just be the king of East Vancouver, just don't tell the other Pizza places. Having the location right on Broadway and Commercial helps, but the fact that Fatih produces some of the cheapest high quality slices of pizza in town doesn't hurt either.

The options at Uncle Fatih's can wrangle with most high-end pizza places and yet it still maintains the low price. I've gotten some delivered once and everyone assumed it was a crazy fancy place, rather than where they usually pick up their ghetto slice. Fatih's also maintains a community atmosphere with Fatih himself often around and they're always willing to haggle a deal for big orders.

Now, definitely don't expect to sit inside if you come around a meal time, but there's always plenty of lawn furniture outside or a nice streetcorner to eat at as well. Fatih's has saved me from many a hangover or expensive meal and it's one of the first things people should eat when they come to the city.

I've been here numerous times to grab something to go. Like many of the reviews before, the service isn't that great but I've never really had a problem with it. The staff here don't smile or greet, but they get your orders quickly and the food totally makes up for it.

This place is tiny, so just assume you probably won't have a spot to sit and enjoy your pizza. It does get quite stuffy sometimes. They have a couple of seats outside too.

The pizza itself is delicious. It's probably my favourite pizza joint in all of Vancouver. The toppings are great and fresh, they don't overdo it either. The crust is never too hard or soggy from tomato sauce. It's not super greasy like some other places. I've never had a burnt slice. And the veggie slices always look so colourful! One slice kills my hunger, and two just makes me absolutely stuffed.

It's 1.75 a slice, pretty awesome. I think they have a deal for two slices and a soda too. Awesome place to get food on the go!

If you've ever lived in Vancouver by working a badly paying job, you probably already know that all pizza tastes the same after eating it everyday for several months. However, even though this includes Uncle Fatih's, it still remains the pizza with the most amount of toppings, particularly the ever-important vegetables.

Right on the intersection of Commercial and Broadway, it's notorious for last minute eaters on their way home from the Skytrain. Almost always packed, your chances at eating on the stools inside are slim, but there are a couple of lawn chairs outside so you can eat your pizza while watching the 6 lanes of traffic go by.

This place has good cheap pizza and that's why it's extremely popular, and that's why it has been reviewed on http://yelp.ca so frequently, and that's why you're probably already reading one of the other reviews and not this one.

A tiny hole-in-the-wall, always busy and with good reason! This is the best pizza I've had outside of Italy!

I highly recommend the potato pizza, although I've liked everything I've tried there; it's cheap, you get a ton of high-quality toppings, and because it's so busy the pizza is never old, cold or tough.

Don't expect frills or fancy service, if you can grab a seat it's fun to watch people go by, or gloat while watching the people still waiting (just me?) but if you want a fantastic slice of pizza for a small price Fatih's is the place to go!

    Super cheap and tasty.

I love reading the poem that they have posted inside the store that's an ode to Uncle Fatih as I eat my slice. It makes me laugh as I share in the poet's joy, bite by bite. Uncle Fatih's is really the place to be when you're coming off the Drive late at night.

The online ordering system SUCKS, it is now the third period of hockey.. no pizza didn't get my order and didn't care .... I like their take out but they have slid waaaaay down the list for customer service... maybe another victim of their own success?
