I am generally a strong believer in the concept of U-Haul!  I recently moved and found the friendly U-haul store on 51st avenue perfect for my moving needs.  A week before I actually moved, I came here and picked up several boxes and other moving essentials that I had calculated to be necessary for my move.  They've got all sorts of boxes from fragile needs to sturdy ones.  Definitely worth their price too (roughly $3-5 per box).

Truck rentals are really affordable and I love that!  The rates start at 20 bucks a day + 0.69/km of move + damage waiver of $15 (optional, but what the heck - I took it) for cargo vans and pick-up trucks.  I actually got a 14' truck for my move and the price was still $20 for the day but the per km rate was different.  My entire move, including refueling of the truck, cost me roughly $65 which I think is a completely admissible expense when moving.

The location is such that one would be parking their car on the street with a bit of an exposed feel to it.  Lots of trucks moving around out there.  I wouldn't have parked it overnight if I had the option not to.  However, a super bonus about this location is that it's just a few of blocks from the Epcor's dumping/recycle facility on 99th street and 51st avenue which is a great way to dump all the unwanted stuff at Epcore before returning the truck

A huge annoyance is that the wait time is peculiarly long.  I really cut a star for that.  I'm not even exaggerating.  You've got to go there with a magazine in your hand because expect to wait for at least 30 minutes and invariably over 45 minutes to be served.  And of course, you'll have to stand in line all this time.  How annoying!
