Forget Safeway/Superstore/Save on Foods...
Go to Two Ee's Farm Market. Family owned and operated. Similar to the more popular ones you can find in malls ie. Kin's Market or Langley Farm Market... but with much more selection!
Inexpensive, fresh and lots of close parking! They are closed on Sundays all year round. -

An excellent choice for fruit and veg. I do half of my shopping here -- the fresh half -- and I find it has everything I need including dairy. All this place needs is a good butcher.
Try the gummi bears and the gummi blueberries located near the West checkouts. Family favourite.
Watch out for parking on busy days i.e. Saturdays before holidays. -

I've been going here for years to do my shopping. They definitely have some of the best prices around for produce since they grow some of it themselves. The bins are separated and labeled depending where the produce is from and they have a great selection of herbs inside.
The challenges are sometimes the hours they are open. They are closed on Sunday's so make sure you do your shopping on Saturday or weekday evenings. I've also seen them sell some past due chips which may not be legal but I bought some anyways! hahaha
All in all it's a local place that carries just about everything and has great prices. -

Hands down the best produce market in Surrey. Great selection, even better pricing.
The parking is a nightmare - and I wish they were open later ... (I wish everything was 24 hours ;) but in the end it's just me whining more than anything else. Doesn't have to do anything with Two EE's! -

This is where I go for my fruits and veggies.
It is a bit of a drive but the fact that I can get anything I am looking for makes me happy. The kids love picking out new things and it gets them to eat some fruits and veggies.
I love that in the warmer months a lot of the produce is grown by them with a lot of organic options. I love shopping "close to home".
Only negative is that they are closed Sundays. Somedays it is the only day I have to shop =(
Overall I have been going here for years and I love it! -

Starting to get a little more pricey and crowded - and quality seems to be waning.
Still a great selection and nice that they are open year round. -

I would stop by this organic health market for a gift, every time I was heading over to my vegan friends' house in Surrey. They have a great selection in fruits and veggies which are usually fresh, and they try to keep as much of them as local as possible. It's all really affordable too, which is a big bonus.
Inside you'll find organic baked goods and snacks. This is where I fell in love with the Porta brand of chocolate. They sell it in other places, but Two E's has all kinds of flavours, like raspberry, cherry, and orange. Soooo good!! It's kinda disturbing how I can finish off a whole bar in under 5 minutes.
The only issue I have with Two E's is their plastic bag policy. Hopefully they've changed it by now, but maybe not. Anyway, they have this policy where you have to leave with your groceries in their plastic bags (even if it's just a can of beans), otherwise they'll think you didn't pay, which I think is ludicrous because that's what a receipt is for, right?
I made the mistake of declining a bag on my first trip, and the salesgirl was so insistent on me taking a bag, I thought she was going to wrestle me to the ground to take it. It's totally something you would see on a Seinfeld episode. At the very least, they should switch to paper bags, since they're supposed to be a green business, after all. -

This store may have the widest selection of produce I've ever seen - it just keeps going and going. All kinds of varieties of apples, pears, lettuce, herbs. Organic and non, farm grown and imported. Flowers and plants for potting, plus soil. All at very reasonable prices.
Then you go inside and there's cheese, more produce (like mushrooms and bananas, which don't do well in the sun), racks of Dan-D-Pak snacks, herbs and spices, rice, canned and dried beans, baked goods, and a curiously large selection of Dutch candies and chocolates.
My only beef is with the checkout - it was pretty slow, as the cashier rings stuff through, and then bags or boxes it all, too. I think they must have changed the bag policy that Lauren N. mentions, however. I used my own bag, and the cashier just puts a little piece of tape across the top to show I've paid.
This place is dangerous, is all I kept thinking.Listed in: Shopping for food, Surrey. Yes, Surrey.

Has a great selection of fresh herbs! Also has low prices and good produce.
Be warned that parking is crazy and it does tend to get busy with the after work crowd. -

This is a great farmers type market with really good prices and a great selection of fruits and veggies, and a few other items as well (cheese, chocolate, nuts, etc). They have a lot of local goods when in season and some organic too. I prefer to buy from a market like this rather than a grocery store, prices seem to be better, at least better than the bigger grocery chains. If you live in the area, check them out!
