Holy COW. Just what I needed at Niagara Falls.
WIth over 100 flavors of ice cream, there was nothing better on that hot day than to sit down, watch the tourists, and enjoy some ice cream. Flavor? Glad you asked - Rocky mountain blackberry cheesecake. As one who enjoys her icecream, I must say, this was one of the best. I'm not sure where they source from, but all I can say is TASTY. If I'm ever in the neighborhood again, I'm going to be sure to visit this place. Its such a great name and ideal location. -

This place being next door to the Misty Dog provides an opportunity for dessert or just wanting something cool on a warm day.
Just like the Misty Dog, its all outdoor seating and carry out- you walk up to the window and order. You cant miss this place because on the top of the building is a HUGE ice cream cone with twist style ice cream!
The place is popular with tourists and locals and gets very busy. The place looks worn out on the outside, but they have friendly people who make a quality product.
They sell Perry's Ice Cream which I believe is the regional ice cream brand. I decided to try their homemade vanilla soft serve custard on a cone. Very good vanilla flavor and the custard is smoothe as silk. It stood up well to the warm afternoon.
I ate the ice cream cone at one of their outdoor tables and couldn't help but laugh at the half ass water fountain. They really need to fix that up, though it is one of those items that makes this place an original.

When ever you are visiting the Falls, you need to visit Twist O' The Mist also. Twist O' The Mist is within easy walking to the brink of the falls.They sell Perry's Ice Cream, Perry's sells and distributes only to Upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania, and New England.
The best one is Piece of Cake, IMHO. You can not miss this place as you near the Falls, it is a big 28 feet high cone 20 feet in diameter, with vanilla ice cream with a cherry on the top. They have more than 50 flavors of hard and soft ice cream. I believe out of the 4 days we were here we went 5 times. -

Lots of great flavors, and right in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls. Great choc & vanilla soft serve, funny name too. Twist O the Mist, seriously, who thought of that. It is a useful drop off point for the rainbow bridge pedestrian crossing though, and other general activities. prices were reasonable for a tourist hotspot. in the back it had lots of room to rest & relax, sit on bench or whatever you want to do. accepts credit cards

Only got to go here once while visting Niagara Falls. They had so many flavors of ice cream (and custard, too)! Favorite new flavor: CANNOLI! Tried to make a 2nd visit but didn't have time as we were coming back from the Canadian border and had to catch our flight back to Cali :(
