This has been my favorite Organic/Health Food Store in Toronto for Years. Really, nothing else compares. Essence of Life is ok, but Tutti Frutti is much better. They basically have anything you could ever want in bulk, and a decent selection of options for things like nuts, salts, sugars etc.
The prices on various supplements like Floradix or Hemp Seed Oils, Aloe Vera Juice, Chlorophyll etc, I find to be several dollars cheaper than other stores around town. I have actually left Noah's because I had the Tutti Frutti price in mind and could not believe the markup.
I live across town now, but I still stop in monthly or so to get some bulk items. The Bulk Teas are great too - they have fantastic Chai Masala. -

Another great grocery store in Kensinton. I usually pop into Essence of Life and Tutti Frutti to check prices when I'm shopping in this area.
So far I have found that they have the best price in the city beeswax candles. Their tea lights are 99 cents each! They have a great bulk section (better than EOL), and a pretty impressive beauty section as well. -

I've been going to Essence of Life for months, not even realizing that its closest competition was merely 5 steps away! Wellsir, I set foot into Tutti Frutti for the first time today, and I DO DECLARE, it will become part of my weekly Kensington rotation FO REAL.
While slightly unorganized, there is much to love about this place. Prices of some bulk items run cheaper than Essence, so it will be customary for me to now buy, say, nooch at Essence and raw cashews at Tutti. I didn't check hygiene products or supplements yet, so we'll see how that stacks up!
Speaking of supplements, these bishes have a vunderbar selection. They're just kind of... all over the place. I love their little nut snack packs at the cash register, and some green krispie squares (with spirulina) that I'll definitely have to sample one day.
OH! I just remembered that their frozen berries are 3.79 per bag - cheaper than anywhere else I've seen so far (except for the time Whole Foods had them on special 2 for $5). Essence sells them for 4.99.
THIS JUST IN: Kat's review says they have spirulina in bulk!!! *raises eyebrow* This place could raise to a 5, one day. Oh, yes.Listed in: I'm A Dirty Hippy

There are two places called Tutti Frutti - one is a garish, overpriced candy store and the other is a reliable health and specialty foods store in the heart of Kensington, a few doors away from its 'rival' Essence Of Life Organics (think Global Cheese vs. Cheese Magic). It's worth a price check between the two stores, but like other reviews of EoL have said, you can do a complete grocery run if you combine the inventory of both stores.
I usually stock up on protein powders, cheap soy milk and ice cream at Essence Of Life, and leave the bulk stuff to Tutti Frutti. They have a ridiculous selection of "weirdo powders" and roots, the likes of which would startle any naturopath.
In fact, whenever my naturopath sends me away with a laundry list of herbs to buy for tea, I head straight to Tutti Frutti to pick them up. They also have quality spirulina, probiotics and gluten-free flour in bulk as well.Listed in: Best Health Food Stores

Tutti fruitti is ok, but I have trouble being in here for long enough to find what I need because it's just wee and I am forever feeling like people are running into me. Perhaps I should visit on a day when I'm not feeling so misanthropic.
They have a good selection of lots of things: bulk products, gluten-free baking stuff, soaps/laundry things/shampoos, and about a gazillion bulk tea things. They seem to have all kinds of supplements, but those aren't my bag, baby, so I can't say any more about those. I recently purchased a bag of Dark Horse coffee here for almost $10 less than I've found it elsewhere.
I don't love it, but I do return when I'm in the market and looking for bulk stuff. -

Nice, family-run? business. *Best*prices* on supplements! (so far as I know). I also like their prices on shampoos, nut butters. Have I mentioned super prices on supplements. Def. worth checking this small store out! If you like WyldWood tofu, theirs is only $2.99 comp. to around $4.00 elsewhere.

Not just another health food and supplement store. Tutti Frutti also has a large selection of non Gluten foods. The prices are very reasonable too. I stocked up!

Well, in addition to myriad vitamins, supplements, and other assorted hocus-pocusery, they have over 500 (I lost count) bulk bins with all manner of nuts, seeds, herbs, cereals, powders, chocolate, coffee etc. etc. Its clean too.

One of the finest health food stores in Toronto for sure. They have a fantastic selection of bulk goods, packaged goods, supplements, hair and skin products, etc, all at incredible prices. However, I find the staff to be somewhat unhelpful. If you ask for something, they often don't understand what you're asking for. Nevertheless, this is one of my go-to stores in Toronto for sure.
