Oh my gosh! What a hidden gem! I was just leaving the Drive and I see this on the corner of the street on Victoria and pulled over right away (probably leaving tire marks!). This place is great! Almost everything they sell is made by local or Canadian designers (everything except the shoes, I heard the sales woman say).
The clothing is quite cute, and unique. I found an amazing black dress that I'm sure will last a lifetime. As well as a couple of cute tops. The downside was that it was a little pricey for my income. But I really couldn't help myself. These pieces were just too unique for me to say no. I hope that they won't let me down.
When I make some money, I will go back and buy some of the purses that are designed by the owner. -

My husband often makes fun of me because I share the philosophy of the "Bicycle Guy" in Singles: "I like the way the world looks from a bicycle." It's true! And so it was that riding along Victoria Drive, I noticed how many neat little shops there actually are along Commercial Drive's residential sister street. One of them being Tutta Mia - which, by the way, has a bicycle rack right outside.
It was meant to be that I visited this adorable shop for women's clothing, accessories, and jewellery. Made more adorable because the one thing I like as much as bicycles is dogs, and two wonderful big dogs hang out here with the owner. (Very calm, older dogs, I might add.)
Oh, right, the merchandise. Clothing mainly by Canadian designers, very wearable but with unique detailing - like a drapey crocheted lace shrug or a straight pencil skirt with a patch of textured pleating. Also noticed the chic knitwear and dresses that look like they're made to flatter. Plus there are the luscious faux suede handbags of the house brand Kairos (though unfortunately for me, many featured button closures), lovely Dotted Loop jewellery reworked from vintage pieces, and the Shi Studio line of pendants, cuffs and belt buckles featuring Asian fabrics in the designs. You can buy a belt or a chain and then change up your look many times over with a different buckle or pendant.
Really enjoyed the browse and the visit with the store doggies, and hope to come back when I have more carrying capacity on my bike.Listed in: Store pets

They sell all locally made women's clothing at reasonable prices. It is also the home of Kairos Designs an amazing local hand-bag line and they also just launched a in-house line of clothing.
I heart this store!!

Mamma Mia! This little hidden gem is in the heart of East Vancouver's Commercial Drive area. It's a little corner house that grabs the attention quickly. The window displays are colourful and once inside you realize that not many people will be wearing the same clothes you find here. Carrying original Canadian designers like Precocious and unknown Danish designers as well as making their own designs, dresses, leather purses, shoes and accessories are in abundance. I like the earthy, yet modern feel to the store. You can also find lots of bohemian-type of designs and eco-friendly shirts.

This shop is close to Commercial but with a culture of it's own design. Many of the items are original hand made pieces you won't find elsewhere. Come shop for a gift or for yourself in a relaxed non crowded environment. This place is like a local hidden secret. And when you go, check out the new Gelato shop nearby "Gelato this Gelato that".
