Tuckers is a massive, massive buffet. You can basically find anything you're in the mood for. This is a favorite amongst my friends so I've been several times. Nearly every time I've found the service to be really poor, there's free refills on drinks but that means nothing when they don't refill your drink, ever.
With that being said, their milkshakes, cocktails and smoothies are all really good, I find their food to be hit or miss, there are a few items I really enjoy and the rest I find nasty. I usually get a bowl of chili, some slices of bread, they also usually have pasta with meat sauce, chicken pot pie and shepards pie so I stock up on those. They have a carvery which usually serves roast beef or ham from my experience. In that area you can find mashed potatoes, yams, stuffing etc. Sometimes they even have tacos which I strongly advise against. What I usually fill up on is their pasta bar, they make pasta in front of you and most of the time it's really good. In that same area they make stir fries too, which are not good. They also have a huge salad bar with pasta salad, bean salad, premade caesar salad and a variety of vegetables so you can make your own.
Their dessert is also nothing spectacular, they have ice cream, flan, brownies, apple crisp, pies, cheese cake etc. I've always found almost everything in the dessert section to be extremely bland. They have some good student specials on Wednesday for supper and Saturday for brunch, you'll get lots of food for what you pay but I wouldn't go if it was full price, unless I was being dragged by a friend. -

Every time I've been here, it's been food heaven.
I don't go often, but I enjoy myself when I do. :-) It's way too easy to eat too much with all the variety. -

Went for lunch with a friend on a Sunday, so it was a brunch menu. We had an awesome waitress who was funny and helpful.
The food was pretty good, especially for the price. Delicious bacon, good red mashed potatoes. Didn't try it, but there was a pancake station and an omelette station. Salad bar didn't thrill me too much with regards to actual "salad", however there was a lot of pasta salad type of dishes that some might enjoy. There was quite a selection of fresh breads with a variety of spreads/butter. Lots of tasty desserts, including a chocolate fountain with sticks to dip things like banana slices and marshmallows into: awesome! -

I won't throw too much hatorade on this Tucker's Marketplace. For starter's, it's a sweet location (though you could go to many better places nearby) and had a decently large patio. I went for lunch with a colleague and we were treated to an acrobatic-pogo performance that was arms length from the restaurant.
Even though, it is a buffet you do have a server for drinks, clearing plates and such. I got the mango alcohol drink- comes with a cuter title- and it was meh. It just tasted like a regular mango smoothie and was the size of my head, though it packed no punch.
As for the food, it would be silly to try and describe every single thing that I ate because the selection is pretty vast. But at the same time, there was no dish that came close to blowing my mind. Nor was there a particularly memorable one. What I do remember was that dessert was INCREDIBLY disappointing with ice cream that tasted off.
But for $10.99 during lunchtime, you could stuff yourself silly here and walk away with a limp and a smile on your face. -

I've been on the fence about Tucker's Marketplace for years now. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not so good, and sometimes it's just plain terrible.
I've been to their location in Mississauga, as well as this one, and both have been mediocre, so I don't think I'm completely out of line if I generalize. This is one of those restaurants that you think of just because its a buffet, but you rethink because of the quality. I'm not just talking about food quality, either. I mean service and cleanliness, too. Everything seems to just be.. blah. The plates and cutlery could be cleaner, the service could be faster and more friendly, and the food.. well the food can just taste better.
You can find your staples here - roast beef, potatoes, pasta, some type of steamed vegetables (and MAYBE stir-fried if you're lucky), bread, soup, salad, and some desserts. Nothing creative, nothing unique. People that don't want variety in their food - eat here. I find that picky eaters also tend to like Tucker's because the food is so plain. Their Tucker's Express Kitchen offers catering and take out, and might have better quality, better tasting food, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. -

I'd avoid this place unless you really, REALLY want a free meal on your birthday. They do that but of course they have to check your ID which is understandable but sort of comical too that so many people would try to scam them for the free buffet.
The restaurant is buffet style and hardly a great one at that considering what you pay.
I did go there for a friend's birthday and typically these places are supposed to be Houdini-like with your dirty plates -- you go up to get more food and somehow your table gets cleared in seconds. The last time I went that didn't happen which was fine but we ended up with dirty dishes on our table for almost the entire meal. That of course also meant we had empty glasses too!
I've never had a good experience here but maybe if I was starving and broke on my next birthday I'd find an excuse to hit it up. -

This place made me laugh. Food was okay. Atmosphere a bit noisy. Service friendly. It made me laugh, though, because people who recommended this place to me were like "Ooooh! Home cooking!" After my dinner there, my thoughts were along the lines of: "if that is what home cooking is like for you, poor poor you. Intervention time. Give me a call and I'll get my mom to cook for you." Yes I'm totally showing off that I have a trained chef for a parent :) If you're not so lucky to have such a parent for yourself and you enjoy North American food, then you might like this place. Plain, simple, not bad tasting food. As for me, I have no plans to return on my own volition.
