If i'm not in DT, this will be my new go-to place, esp. for affordable crepes! Think the nutella crepe I paid for was at least $3 more at Cafe Crepes but still tasty and a casual, comffy environment, laid-back....sometimes it's just cool to support the small biz.
They also serve gelato and fair trade coffee.
Parking is busy here but fortunately they're located near the corner so easy access to the side street pay meters. -

I love this area of town though I don't live close enough to frequent this area. I feel the need to support small business in this area (well those who survived the Skytrain building period)
I came to Trixi's on a rainy Sat. morning and was greeted by the owner. Atmosphere feels so warm and inviting. I had a nutella and banana crepe which was DELICIOUS (reminds me of Spring in Paris, streetside crepe stall) Also consumed a Chai latte which was good and warm
Dad ordered a savory crepe with ham, cheese and brie which was also excellent. He said the Cappacino was very good.
Will have to come back in the spring/summer and try their ice-cream too. -

Came to Trixi's on a rainy day after my haircut at Yokoi just down the street, the cafe was empty as it was already late afternoon, was greeted promptly then I was off checking the menu out myself (i like to check things out myself first before receiving recommendations, a weird side of me). The smoked salmon, capers and cream cheese savory crepe caught my eye and my lunch choice of the day was settled. It was delicious! The crepe was warm, generous portion of the salmon, cream cheese filling complimented it really good as well as the capers, it was a very hearty meal for a rainy day like that. I was slightly disappointed when I finished the whole thing off after 5 minutes, it's like watching the end of a favorite tv episode "it's the end already!? when is the next time??!"
Looking forward to trying their sweet crepes as well as the other savory ones on the menu! Yumm.. -

Crepes are fine... But go on Sunday and read their New York Times.

The storefront bright colours and signage gave me the impression that this was a Euro-Trinidadian-Seaside-Crepe-Shack-and-Ice-Cream -Stand establishment. It is anything but. Once you walk into the creperie it reveals a warm inviting mix of coffee and breakfast that says "Good Morning", even at 2 in the afternoon. Feeling indulgent for a savoury crepe, I tucked into the smoked salmon and brie while my friend lingered over the mushroom, ham, and tomato. Unlike some other places, these crepes were thinly made with a slightly more egg to milk ratio, and the filling was nicely seasoned. A smooth cup of the Puro drip coffee was the best accompaniment. I'll need to buy the coffee beans the next time I'm in the area.
It happens infrequently in cafes, so I appreciate being greeted by staff once I walk in, and thanked when I leave. It may not seem like a big deal, I just feel more valued as a customer and less like another cash transaction. -

I started coming here before I moved to the area so it was nice when we came within walking distance.
The crepes are nice, the ones on the menu are all tasty.
Coming from the queen of modification, thats a good thing! -

Crepes (aka 'craps' to those with high school French) have never managed to seduce me. I've been to France for the real deal but never had a memorable experience.
I generally go for the safe bet of strawberry/banana/nutella, but went savoury here. Smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers.
A-Ok but I was still hungry after. I think I need my crepes stuffed like burrito.
Tea was decent, service was pleasant, art was vivid. Had a great painting of Molly's Reach in Gibsons.
I did find it odd how they sold a bucket of crepe batter for $10. Some people are ambitious I guess. I think mine would turn out like scrambled eggs at home. -

My egg and avocado savory crepe and the sweet nutella crepe (with powdered sugar on top) were both delicious. On Tuesdays and I think Mondays they have a two-for-one crepe special - free nutella crepe if you order a savory one and a drink. Coffee was also very good. I could live on a steady diet of crepes. The place is also cozy and with friendly service.

Friendly service especially considering we showed up 30 minutes before closing. Interior has a nice ambience.
My girl wanted dark chocolate crepe, but alas she had to settle for nutella with strawberries. She still seemed to savour her crepe all the same with espresso chocolate flake ice cream. I enjoyed the nutella crepe with banana.
She threatened to lick her plate. I think this relationship is troubled. -

Reckon other Yelpers, this little shop on Cambie really worth a special trip for their crepes. We had their savory crepes for lunch: 1) a classic ham, egg & swiss, 2) mushroom, ham & swiss and 3) cordon brie crepe: ham, mushroom, chicken and brie. Their crepes are definitely much much better than what u get from Cafe C--pes, while price wise is pretty much the same.
We believe the crepe chef is the shop owner. From our table, we watched he carefully and skillfully made each crepe, making sure each is of great consistent quality. Ax the board, all three crepes tasted great. The crepe layer is not too oily, not too thick or too thin, and had a smooth texture with a tint of vanilla and egg flavor. He doesn't cheap out on any ingredients. Everything from the cheese, the ham, chicken to mushrooms were really fresh, of good quality and quantity. Unlike many other places where the crepes are mostly too salty or short on seasoning, their seasoning is right on the dot. This is pleasant find for crepe lovers in the city. Will definitely come back again. -

This place has been here forever. I've been going here since I was a kid and this place has lasted through the Olympic line tearup of cambie street.
While this may be a 3-4 star place to everyone else- it's a five star for me for the memories I have of the cambie strip prior to the Canada Line Tearup. IT has always served up pretty standard crepes at prices that make a lot of sense. It also has a gelato bar that looks pretty tasty.
what I love about this place is that it is small, cozy/comfortable- great table service, and has one of those garage doors that open up the entire front.
I used to love cafe crepe until it became a monstrous burger and fries serving chain. I come to this place because it is the antithesis of that type of grossness.
Go here. but only when I'm not here- I don't want to find myself without a seat at this adorable place! -

It would be hard not to have a soft spot for a coffee shop where the server (maybe the owner?) comes over and takes your order...
The overstuffed chairs in the back made me want to curl up and read, but alas, this was not the time! I watched as my coffee mates enjoyed a freshly made crepe and wished that I hadn't just eaten breakfast!
My americano was good, but not the best I've had it had a bit of bitterness to it-even after i was a little overzealous with the sugar. My companions were enjoying tea which looked pretty in their individual bodums. (I would have totally gone for the tea - but you know, I was in need of a caffeine slam!)
I will totally be back to cozy up with a good book and savour something sweet...and then maybe stay for something savoury. -

Today, I met up with a friend who lived in the South Cambie neighbourhood for brunch. We had agree to meet up @ 10:30am, but we didn't realise Trixi's had summer hours and it didn't open till 11 am. My friend insisted that we wait for the place to open because the crepes were really good. We walked up the block to Starbucks for a drink while we waited for Trixi's to open.
The wait was worth it. We both had the crepe special of the day (bacon, mushroom, tomatoes, and swiss). My friend had a cup of coffee and I had an Americano. She had also praised about the coffee (we ordered non coffee drinks at Starbucks so we could have our caffeine fix here). The crepes looked beautiful and tasted so yummy. I would definitely come back again. Cafe Crepe does NOT compare!!! -

Since the age of 17, I have consumed at least one cup of coffee - in filtered or espresso form - every day of my life. I am not, however, an extreme coffee drinker. I never have more than two cups a day. Over the past two months, I have developed an unquenchable desire for affogato - the common Italian and south German dessert consisting of vanilla ice cream and espresso.
Perhaps this bestial thirst has been triggered by the unusually warm summer temperatures, or perhaps my coffee-based tastes are evolving and searching for new flavour combinations. Whatever the case may be, I have been combing the city for establishments that make great espresso, serve vanilla ice cream, and do not require table service. This quest is much harder than you would think for a cosmopolitan city such as Vancouver.
I have been getting my fix at the following locations, in my neighbourhood, but I would love to hear of other ristretto pushers and gelato mongers in the city. For example, I am sure that Commercial Drive has a few sweet spots. I've been hitting up:
- Trixi's Coffeehaus: decent espresso-based drinks and wonderful crepes
- Amato Gelato Cafe: located within Mario's Gelati headquarters, this cafe has both excellent coffee and ice cream...great stop during a walk around the seawall!
- Whole Foods: I know, I know...no self-respecting espresso connoisseur would ever frequent Whole Foods, but they can provide what many superior cafes cannot...affogato! -

I've been a faithful patron of Trixi's Crepe & Coffeehaus for a better part of two years.
Initially, I was drawn to the convinience of and proximity to my home, but I keep coming back (now that I no longer live as close by) for other reasons. Trixi's is one of the few places in Vancouver that serves good tea (and knows the distinction) at a reasonable price and without pretense.
The food, which consists mostly of variations on the crepe theme, is tasty, and comfortingly familiar. Best of all, Trixi's has a welcoming owne-operated feel, owing to the fact that it is indeed run primarily by its owners.
In our age of mega-chains and impersonal service, there is much to recomend about a service business that has one-to-one relationships with its customers.
Trixi's feels and acts like a part of its neighborhood, which makes it, and Cambie viligage such great places to visit. -

Nice little Creperie, lots of seating and one of those garage door type entrances that I love. Large selection of Tea's and good spicy Chai, (although it is mass produced and sold in a Tetra pak, it is made locally in Surrey BC.)
Shopping nearby? I would recommend a stop in here, they have both sweet and savoury crepes, but once again, they offer next to nothing for the Celiac, or Non dairy person like myself in the way of eats. -

A hidden gem on a huge street, how did I miss this little treasure? Trixi has conquered the sweet and savoury kingdom of crepes.
A cozy cafe offering freshly made crepes with a decadent variety of fillings alongside pots of loose leaf teas.
i.Heart: Smoked salmon with lemon dill creme cheese crepe - brunch anyone? :). -
Review from Brian W.
Surprisingly good crepes. Salmon and brie, mmmmm... the special of the day was a bacon/tomato/egg/cheese thing that was excellent.
Everything else, including the dessert crepes, was also quite good (at least as far as food). The mocha and the latte were only ok-- well done, but only ok in what's a competitive market.
I say this as someone who normally hates crepes for a meal, too: this place surprised me that much. Would I go if I was starving? No. But I thought I was decently hungry when I walked in, and leaving satisfied was very surprising. -

Small little cafe joint. The outside looks a little hippie-ish but not the inside. Once you step in you will be hit with flavourful crepes aroma. Mmmmm so yummy! The place is very kids friendly (they have little toys and high chair for kids). There's not a lot of room for seating as it is a small little cafe.

When I am not hungover, and only need a light breakfast, this is the spot I like to hit. They make a pretty killer London Fog tea, and also a great Affogato. The crepes are delish too, and they are made fresh while you wait in the cozy little cafe. They also serve gellato, but I have only tried it once in the summer. I usually get the crepe with mushroom, swiss cheese, and tomoato, but I also really like the brie and pear one. Both are delicious!

Quaint little place. Nice selection of crepes. I recommend the salmon and swiss crepe or the banana and nutella crepe. You'd be amazed how full you'll be after eating here. Good coffee too. There's a couple of outdoor tables and the staff did not mind that I had my small dog sitting on one of the chairs. A bit pricey, but that's Cambie Village for you.
