I love this place! The atmosphere is great, I felt really comfortable, relaxed, and cozy while I was getting my hair cut by the amazing stylist, Emilie! I'm usually really picky with my cuts and styles and I'd always end up disappointed whenever I get them done at different salons but nope, not with Emilie... she is really awesome :)
Also, the staff are super friendly and not intimidating. :) As soon as I arrived for my appointment, the receptionist kindly offered me some tea while I waited.
I will definitely come back again soon. -

Awesome: Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices and a damn fine haircut.
I live on Main and I've tried a few of the places around here (Prim and Proper, Beehive) but I have to say, Trim is the best. Michael, my stylist, was super friendly, approachable and collaborated with me on what I wanted. We chatted the entire time and I came out feeling pampered and pretty! Also, the price range is really awesome, with 35 dollars for a junior stylist to cut, and 60 for a senior stylist.
You will see me again, Trim stylists. I was very pleased. -

all I can say is that Jarred is a STAR. I have a fairly wild mane of thick, curly hair and was never able to find a stylist that could really figure my locks out. On top of being thick and curly, I also colour it (it's dark brown but I get copper stripes in the summer/traveling). Just to make things harder, I'm not very good to my hair either. I'm a busy gal and often my mane is ravaged in a messy bun, goes unwashed, and gets in to huge knots / bird nests. Not to mention my terrible habits that exasperate my split ends triple fold. Okay finally, i'm always on a budget.
So all that to say that Jarred really had his work cut out for him when I first ended up in his chair (through word of mouth). Well, he's a miracle worker. My unruly curls come out shaped, controlled, bouncy, shiny, healthy and happy. Jarred is a blast to talk to, and always is kind to my wallet.
Even with all these coupon websites pumping out cheap cuts around the city, I will always return to Jarred. I've followed him from Aveda, to Poppy, and now to TRiM. I will follow him anywhere!
in sum: jarred is excellent, trim is fantastic, you should go. -

Trim is a gem of a hair salon with amazing staff and beautiful decor. Exposed brick, vintage mirrors and chandeliers highlighted by clean white accents on trendy Main street.
Sarah is my "go to stylist." I have very thick wavy hair and had always found it difficult to find a stylist that could understand my hair until I found Sarah! She does an amazing job every time and I can't help enjoying my haircut because she approaches every client like a friend and keeps you entertained and laughing. I also get my hair highlighted with Sarah and have never been disappointed.
Look for the funky branch display next time you are walking along Main and make a turn inside. You wont regret it!
Similar to Kate, I have followed Sarah for the last 3 years and would never take a Groupon to go to a different hair salon. Apparently Sarah and Jarred have some groupies! -

I don't think I could have dreamt up a nicer salon myself! Lovely decor, and friendly and helpful stylists. To be honest, my hair requires very little. A simple trim a couple times a year. I started coming here for the Aveda products, and will continue to come for the wonderful ambiance. I would definitely recommend this salon.

Warm. Clean. Stylish. Relaxing. Expert.
Trim has everything a great hair dressing salon should have! I am greeted with a warm reception in this clean & chic salon. I have my hair done by Sarah- who is fantastic! Sarah is a knowledgable, skilled hairdresser and it is apparent that her passion is for you to be happy with your hair and your experience at the salon. I am at ease from my consultation onward. I have lived in many different countries and experienced dozens of different hair dressers. I'm pretty tough to please when it comes to hair and (along with Rita Rusk in the UK) Trim is in my no.1. I feel relaxed and indulged when I leave and my hair looks fantastic!
