Dear Trico,
We've had a pleasant parting. Unfortunately I can't afford your monthly gym fees because I've already committed to training BJJ and spend most of my time at the academy. No hard feelings, I appreciate your large training facility, filled with weight machines, cardio stations, and you even have heavy bags. The running track is how you say...BOSS.
Recently we almost came to blows when I saw that you debited me 54.00. But when I called on a Sunday, your friendly staff got back to me on Monday with a resolution and kind requests for feedback, which they equally kindly took.
In fact I had this review set to a one star and had my scathing remarks and snarky jokes already typed up. But I won't
Heres to you Trico Centre
Angelo
Ps. Is it true that you're owned by John Trico? No? I have to stop believing the lies my friends tell me.

Great place to get a work out in! It is never overly busy so there is seldom a lineup for your favorite machine. Which theres a variety of to work out the different muscle groups.
Trico is also well equipped with a wave pool, hot tub, steam room, a basketball court and a nice little dance studio. One knock though it does not have a swimming pool for doing laps, which would have been a nice touch.
oh yeah they have hockey rinks and other extra-curricular ish that Im not too familiar with. All in all a decent place to break a sweat. and the price is not too shabby either roughly $40 a month.
alright later!
(please excuse my lack of apostrophes....Cripes!!!! does anyone know how to change their keyboard settings from french back to english) ÉÈÉèèèéèéÈè :s -
Review from Gabe A.
Formerly known as Family Leisure Center, this southeast community recreational centre has undergone a major facelift since being overtaken by a major corporation. Its old charms remain: the towering waterslide whose apex is outside of the building itself, the wave pool, the sauna, and the men's room schvitz are all as before. If I didn't have a gym in my condo, and still enjoy spending obscene amounts of money on working out, I think Trico would be my base of operations so Erick, Angelo, Kenny, Andy and I could discuss our strategies in life while doing dead lifts and calisthenics.

I hit up the Leisure Centre because it has a really cool aquatic facility just like its counterpart over on Southland Drive. The place is quite big and not often as busy as the other Leisure Centre.
It has two cool slides and a large wave pool area that is enjoyed by plenty of kids and....me. They have an awesome steam room as well. There's nothing like having a swim and a steam in the dead of winter. Seriously. It is a sure way to beat snow-laden blues.
The place also offers exercise and weight facilities, but being a skinny scenester indie-rocker, I haven't had use for any of that stuff. WAVE POOL!!!!
