Thirds time's the charm!
After two epic failures to find some nightlife in Montreal on a Saturday night, we decided to (finally) take the advice of our hotel's concierge and hit up Tribe. Why, oh why, didn't we just do that in the first place?!
Not as fancy as Time Supper Club (fancy:boring) and no where near as downmarket (downmarket: smelly, old, crappy music) as Rouge, Tribe is the bowl of porridge that was just right! Here, you'll find beats you can actually dance to and people actually dancing to them. Some of the party-goers are scantily dressed (hey you, butt-shaking drunk girl dancing atop the speaker box, I can see your, um, box), some are inappropriately dressed (hi there farm-hand look-a-like with your work boots and aeropostale shirt...are you lost?) and some in apple-bottom jeans, boots with the fur. I wish I kidding there.
Aside from the lack of fashion police stationed at the door, the patrons at Tribe were consuming copious amounts of alcohol (present company included) and having a grand old time. The club was full, but not sardine-packed, getting a drink was easier than Scarlet Johannson on the eyes and the bathrooms were clean (albeit you had to trek down a treacherous flight of stairs to get there)!
Oh and the damage? Hardly but a nick in my credit account! Four beers, four mixed drinks and two shots (with tip) $95.Listed in: Merci, Montreal!, Montreal Dance Halls
