It would get a better rating if not for the noise on Saturday nights from the pub next door and the scary people staring at us coming into the hotel at night.
My friends and family that stayed here say it was a good deal, but for me the surroundings felt a bit uncomfortable that night.
    I couldn't sleep.

If not for the rif raf, I'd rate this hotel better on its merrits of good price.
So unfortunately for me It was just below OK.

The elevator was out of order the next day.

But aside from this. The hotel has very lovely staff and I met some of the girls who do the room cleaning service.  They speak Japanese. Cool.

For the price though.  You really can't beat it.

So I will come again and try it once more and hopefully I'll get a better nights sleep.

    NO. DON'T DO IT.

Deciding on staying at this place for one night was a major mistake. The staff was nice and friendly but the rooms just did not cut it for any of us.

Our bathroom was missing a freaking trash can and toilet paper... and that's only the beginning of it.

The T.V. and heater in our rooms would not work. Now, we don't necessarily need the T.V. so that's okay, but we're from California, so we don't bear with the cold well; thus, we need a freaking heater - and that was not okay. Later, we found out that the electrical plugs did not work for half of the room, there were cracks in the wall, and holes in the blankets.

The walls are thin, so you can hear everything from outside, making it difficult to sleep. If it weren't for the fact that I was so tired, I doubt I'd be able to sleep at all that night.

There are other places to go - even if it is only for one night.

I would give it 0 stars if I could.  A couple of years ago, I went to Victoria and decided to stay the night last minute.  Trying to find a reasonably priced location, I settled on the Traveller's Inn on Douglas Street.

    What a mistake!

The first room I was placed in had a broken light, a ceiling fan that was off the hinges and about to fall off.  We requested a new room and that was sorted right away.

The next morning as I was gathering my stuff and pulling up the bed sheets, I noticed a blood stain on the lower part of the bed that DEFINITELY was not mine and must have been there without me knowing.

As I was checking out of the hotel, I mentioned this to the front desk and all they offered me was $60 off the price of the room (that was already overpriced).

I found the staff were not very apologetic and for broken lights, ceiling fans, and blood stains, $60 off was a slap in the face.

Now that I know, I will be spending a little more money on a hotel if only for the piece of mind!
