When I die, if I have lived a life worthy of goodness and kindness and virtue and sincerity, if I have managed to keep humble and free of pollutants, if I am judged WORTHY....I will open my eyes in the afterlife, and that afterlife will be a Trader Joe's.
I like the Burien location especially.
Oh, Trader Joe's. I love you so, with your attention to healthy ingredients and creative flavours and convenient portions and ever-changing stock. Even when my favourite crackers were kicked to the curb, other tasty crackers showed up and filled that void.
And tiny coffee and samples...! *swoon* Let's make a baby. -

Super cramped aisles and smaller than I expected, but they have pretty much everything you need. You get the typical affordable TJ prices. I was here during the holidays and loved picking up cookings, candies, etc as gifts (saved me from looking like a scrouge). The sample coffee during a cold winter day was always nice.
Employees don't have an attitude and store is pretty well stocked.
Parking tight, but I usually park further away and just walk those extra few steps. -

Great place to food shop....best prices. Only drawback is it's too far away...since I live in West Seattle. Also it's not their biggest store so selection is less than in some others......but the new West Seattle store is due to open in a few months...
and it looks to be big and will be close...so I'm sure it will get 5 stars.
One other thing......I really like the attitude of the people who work there...they get 5 stars. -

I love Trader Joe's! Parking is great. Great customer service, awesome food! What is is there to ask for?

The products are expensive and not really all that special. Aisles are too crowded and customers are too daft not to move their carts aside from traffic.
There is always an in-your-face panhandler standing outside the store blocking the entrance or exit ways, and some make snide remarks if not acknowledged.
The dairy is at least $2.00 more than other grocery stores, and the gallon milk jugs LEAK! - all over the car, refrigerator, ...
The staff is friendly, and they do carry a product that few stores around town sell. Other than that, I avoid this place. -

Convenience, good prices, and nice people are what you find here...
I come to this TJ's when I need to get quick snacky things for a party, a meeting, etc. Sometimes I come when I want to browse and find random things to incorporate into my cooking or maybe some frozens.
I have flirted with TJ's of and on over the years, but since it isn't someplace I can do all of my shopping, or even most of it, I have moved it to the back burner. My biggest dislike is that their produce isn't very good. That being said, I have found some staples that I like to get when I decide to stop in - things like their alfredo sauce (not good for you, but very tasty), their fat free organic vanilla yogurt, some of the cheeses (try the tub of pub cheese for a party), frozen enchiladas (tasty and low cal), peanut butter chocolate malt balls (guilty pleasure), pepper crackers, and fat free black bean dip, to name a few things.
TJ's is waaaayyy cheaper than Whole Foods, PCC, Met Market, or even QFC - all of which are the other stores I go to. But still, I can't get everything here so I come far less than I used to.
As for this store itself, the people are always very nice, it gets busy, but never so terrible that you can't navigate the store (it happens - this was a problem at my local TJ's when I lived in the Bay Area), they often do samples, and they are never out of stuff!
So...this store itself is 4 stars, TJ's on a whole is 3 stars...so I would like to give 3.5, but instead I will round down. -

Its been a long time since I've stepped foot inside of a Trader Joe's and I can't believe it's taken me this long to go back.
My boyfriend and I had no idea where to even begin! We managed to find the waffle cracker/cookies that my boyfriend's parents' introduced us to. They're so buttery; it's like eating a flavorful waffle ice cream cone hold the ice cream. We also managed to get some Zico coconut water and Almond Breeze almond milk... which we have yet to try. Not to mention, we got a bottle of iced tea/lemonade mixed. Yeah, we only managed to buy snacks and drinks, because we just went for the hell of it. We didn't want to buy anything that needed to be refrigerated or frozen since we had other errands to run.
Be forewarned, do NOT get the chilled coconut water that's made with Mexican coconuts. It tasted and smelled like rubbing alcohol. Yuck!
We'll be coming back to look at their frozen section next time. ;) -

Parking is a zoo at this Trader Joe's. And once you're inside the store, it's pretty packed as well. They didn't have as much selection on the salads as my usual TJ's and some of the other items I normally buy, they didn't have.
They do have a huge wine selection! And I love the great prices and fabulous organic foods. I'd have to say that Trader Joe's is my favorite of all grocery stores, however I prefer the Ballard TJ's to this one. -

I can not describe the joy in finding out my new apartment is close to a Trader Joe's. Hooray for fabu food and friendly staff. Grocery shopping is once again a joy I look forward to and not a choir I regret. I know TJ's will always have something fresh and yummy for me. I am worth every penny and so are you.

What store makes organic a pretty much standard? TJ's, that's who.
A lot of what they carry is under their own label but produced elsewhere from my understanding but they keep the standards of quality high and seasonal. This is my go-to grocery store besides my local veggie stand. There is just something I can't give up about that farmers market feeling of the veggie stand even though TJ's carries pretty much everything I need.
They run specials on products you need for the season and that make meal prep easier like frozen rolls that take 5 mins in the oven, meal idea at the ends of each isle and samples back by the freezer and produce in case you still need some help.
I actually have put together gift baskets for hostesses of the natural skin care, lotions and soaps as well as crackers, dips and cheeses with a nice bottle of wine. -

Great TJ's location - like everyone else's reviews have said. It was the closest TJ's to where I was visiting, so it immediately went on the list of places I HAD to go. If you're at the airport and have a bit of a layover, get a cab over to TJ's and buy some goodies!
Love the selection of pretty much everything in Trader Joe's. If I had one nearby I'd be there all the time. Luckily they have really reasonable prices so I wouldn't go completely broke.
I always find new things I want to try, and this trip was no exception. I found Pumpkin Butter since it is that season. It's really good, thicker than apple butter, all pumpkiny & filled with spices. Makes for a great pumpkin spice latte at home. I wish I had gotten a couple more jars to bring home. I did stock up on a few non-perishables that could go in my suitcase to tide me over until I can get another TJ's fix.
As for all the other comments about great parking, yep, that was my experience too. We parked pretty much right in front of the door, only a spot to the left so as not to be in the handicapped parking. -

I love TJ's! Always find something great and well priced. People are friendly. Much better parking situation than capital hill or UW locations.

Long time coming....
TJ's, how I love your tasty nuts, hummus and other dips, organic veggies, turkey bacon, juices, sauces and frozen chicken. Not only tasty and healthy, but much cheaper than your competition. It often makes me wonder just how organic everything really is. Also, your packaging is not always recyclable, but you save me so much from having to shop at PCC or Whole Foods, that I'm always one basket away from forgiving you. You are not perfect. You sometimes discontinue my favorite items. You sometimes are completely sold out of things. Your produce sometimes rots or molds within a couple days of purchase. But we are only human, and I understand that nothing is forever. I forgive you TJ's, and I will continue to be a loyal customer. -
Review from Megan O.
My favorite TJ's in the Seattle area so far! Before I moved to West Seattle I always frequented the U-District store and hated it (worst parking lot ever?) but Burien is a vast improvement. The store is in a shopping center so there is a huge parking lot. I usually go grocery shopping on Sundays at 8am so I've never had trouble with a parking place :)
This store seems more spacious that other TJ's I've been in; I really like the layout also. Of course the best part is all the yummy food, beer and wine they sell at great prices. Every time I go here, I always look forward to seeing what new products they are carrying.
Also, the employees here are awesome! I've had many nice chats at the cash register and just walking around the store. Sometimes they will see things in my basket and recommend something similar or a new product they just started carrying. I love that! I have discovered quite a few cool items this way (Korean short ribs!) and it's great customer service.
I hear we are getting a TJ's in West Seattle this year, so after that I will probably not frequent this store anymore. But it is based solely on distance and nothing else. The Burien Trader Joe's is great! -

As far as TJ's go, this one is A-OK to a tee. The layout is good, although there is some confusion as to where certain items are (or maybe I just don't pay attention). The parking is fantastic! I have never had to park more than 15 feet away from the front.
It's really the people who work here though, that make shopping here such a treat. They're friendly, engaging and most importantly they SMILE at people.
Yes I still go to the Albertson's next door to get some of my basics, but I really don't mind the extra cost for the healthier options here. -
Review from Yvonne D.
I really like this place, the place is neat and clean, I haven't been to a lot of trader joes so I have no idea is this their standard or is this place cool, however I do appreciates how neat they are. I like the selection of food they have here, the cheeses, the fruits, the dry fruits are excellent. The staff are friendly, I needed help with picking wine before and they were very helpful about that as well.

This is my go to location for quick pre-packaged lunches/dinners. My personal favorite pick is the tempura veggie rolls for about $3.50 and the TJ brand Banana Protein drink (similiar to Naked or Odwalla) for under $3. Filling and gets my through the rest of my teaching day.
This location is on the smaller side, but manages for the most part to remain uncluttered. The check out can be a little on the slow side. However the fact they don't give me goofy looks when I opt to put my baked tofu squares directly into my purse (in the packaging) is nice. -
Review from Amy B.
We all know the virtues of TJ's so I won't wax on about the great salads, fruit, frozen entrees, juices, etc... (oops!).
What separates this TJ's from the others is parking. Ample, parking a-plenty! Every other TJ's in the greater Seattle area seems to have really challenging parking - not so here in good ol' Burien!
Plus the sample lady is generous and nice! -

Burien, WA
I like Trader Joe's. I like Burien. I really like the Trader Joe's located in Burien.
Like all TJ's, they have great cheese at low prices. I like cheese.
Trader Joe's is one of the few places in Seattle/Burien that sells La Fin Du Monde which is quite possibly the most delicious beer in existence.
Also, the orange chicken is delicious.Listed in: My Neighborhood

Review from Denice R.
Awesome that Trader Joes packs so many interesting food and beverage items into relatively small storefronts. Lots of organics and health-oriented foods are offered. Also plenty of wines for such a small store, including the extremely affordable Charles Shaw varieties. For $2.99 don't expect them to be the most luscious wines you've ever enjoyed in your life but hey, they're not the worst I've sipped either AND they're great for cooking. Also fairly priced orchids are available.
I like this location because of the plentiful parking and ease of ingress and egress. Everything about this one feels more "airy" than some of the other locations. -

I love shopping at Trader Joe's but the Burien store seems like it is the most unique out of the ones I have been to. The morning crew is super nice but the night crew is super funny and pretty nice as well.
The one thing I did notice about this store is that people for some reason think it's great to leave shopping carts everywhere outside... I think they just like to watch the guys that work there run around and try to keep it clear.
Overall it's a great place to shop and it's super cheap for what you get. -
Review from Dave S.
Always a fan of TJ's for great prices on great products. The only thing I don't buy from them is produce as it is too expensive and seems too packaged. Plus, I have a great product stand down the street from my house. This particular TJ's seems a bit small though. I would love it if they opened one in West Seattle..hint, hint, wink, wink.

Review from Alisa B.
Ask anyone, this is the best TJ's in the seattle general area. I've talked to people in madison park and bellevue alike and they say this is the one they prefer to go to.
i like this one cause it has a good layout, the people seem to be more helpfull here than most places and their selection just seems better... maybe less picked over than the one on cap hill.
TJ's is my sister's secret love affair, i ask here where she was... "oh at Joe's... check out these awesome apple tarts!" tee hee
I love to pick up last minute appys here for parties or just a few little things to munch on when I get home from work. Their wine selection is nice and of course the prices are always right, where else can you get 5 bags of groceries for under 50 bucks!? -

It's a cool place and the $2 buck chuck is a good deal too.
I go when I can.

LOVE this store! Good prices, good products (OMG the mochi!!), friendly staff, samples all of the time.
The only con... the parking lot! Everything about that lot is a nightmare! TJ's is totally worth it. -
Review from Lisa H.
This review is based on their wine department. I was recommended to this particular Trader Joe's based on a few other brides who had been very happy with this location when they purchased their wine. I was able to work directly with their wine buyer Laurie. I called in and only spoke with her over the phone. I told her what I was looking for and the quantity of each one I needed. She asked how many people it was serving and suggested a get a few more bottles just in case. I didn't want to over buy but I for sure didn't want to run out early either. She had only suggested 5 more bottles of each one so it wasn't like she was trying to up sell me. She took my order and told me what day and time to come in and pick it up.
Went in today to pick up my order. Here is how awesome it got...ALL of the cases were up front waiting for me. All 10 cases!! I hopped in line and was rung up super quick. Laurie even helped me load it into my car. I was in and out of there in like 10 minutes.
Wedding's are so stressful, but Laurie made that part so easy and seamless that I wish all of my wedding planning could go like that. -

I finally went grocery shopping last night so I can stop going out to eat and yelping so much. See I hate going grocery shopping but this Trader Joe's makes it less hateful for me. For one parking is easy, there's plenty of parking and I don't have to worry about someone hitting my car. Two the aisles seem to be a bigger than most other Trader Joe's and the store in general seems larger. They tend to always have what I need, last night there were no chicken rolled taco's only beef but I got over that quickly because they had chile verde chicken burritos and garlic naan. The help is always helpful and friendly and willing to help me find what I'm looking for.

This is the tamest TJ's I have ever encountered and I mean it in a good way. No fist-to-fist combat in the parking lots or aisles. I'm amazed.

This is the only place I can find Morningstar buffalo "chicken" nuggets. I've been to at least 6 other stores and this is it. Well worth the drive for me.

Yay, Trader Joe's that's close to my home! I always go to stock up on pizza, frozen meatballs, and chicken chili verde burritos. Also, check out their real inexpensive imported beers in funky 11oz or 16oz cans, it's a good deal and they're pretty tasty.

Ehhh. Sure their flower selection is great but it's pretty crowded whenever working people go shopping and I don't want to risk my job or go earlier and cut school just for tj's.
The sweets are good here too and we all know that their off-brand gourmetish items are the heart of why anyone really goes there but lines are slow moving and moms on a mission to sit and stare at the dairy section for eight minutes solid before returning with a flurry of inexpert cart maneuvering. Eek. I'd need some kind of deep tissue massage to be chipper enough to deal with that mess on Friday afternoon.
Though for fairness sake I don't think such conditions will be the norm for EVERYONE who goes.
Also parking within 45ft of the store is usually a nightmare. -

I live just a few blocks away and this is my first stop shop when I need groceries. Plenty of parking but the selection is so-so, unfortunately.

As a store all Trader Joe's get five stars in my book. The four stars is rated against other TJ's. This one is very nice. Its a bit of a drive to get to off of I-5, especially if you've never been to this one. Once you know where it is, its very easy to get to and right next to a Albertson's so it's never a problem finding a place to put your car. The store is on the larger side for a TJ's, but the wine and beer selection is smaller then normal.

I love Trader Joes! Parking here is always pretty easy to find, friendly workers, and its never THAT busy when I go there. I went to the Issaquah location today and got hit, bumped, and knocked around the whole time.. and the wait was super long. But this one in Burien is great.

This TJ's is located in a strip mall so that makes for very accessible parking with limited congestion. The isles are a little narrow for my tastes and the selection is limited at times but you will be surprised at how much they can fit into this tiny facility. Staff are always friendly but because this TJ's is continually busy, it's hard to find someone for help if you have a question. They carry THE best pot stickers ever and there's this new salmon roll filled with dill and cream cheese that is vacuum sealed, do die for really. I might throw myself in front of a cart or something to save this suction packed goodie! Worth the trip to Burien if you ask me.

It might be the tiniest Trader Joe's I've ever been to, but they carry all my TJ staples, so I can't really complain. Nice staff, clean store. Wish they had one closer to Renton.

Review from Marla E.
the flower selection sucks and they're always out of gardenburger riblets, but it's a decent store. the layout needs some work - the cheese/salad/cereal aisle gets really crowded and the bakery section is awkward, but yes - there is plenty of parking! a rare find with trader joe's stores, mainly because historically they were not busy so they tended to plop down in small buildings with small parking lots. the newer stores have better parking (this goes for the los angeles stores, as well).
