Staff at Town Hall are a royal nuisance to deal with.
Example 1: I go in to arrange water and sewer service be set up. The gal who was supposed to be helping me spends more time on the phone helping OTHER PEOPLE than she did helping me. A process that should have taken less than ten minutes took more than forty.
When I explain to the lady what has just happened, she explains that she was multitasking. BALONEY. She was task-switching and helped no less than THREE telephone callers (who called AFTER I came in) ahead of me.
Example 2: I call in regarding a problem concerning our tax bill. The lady who answered the phone tells me she has no idea as she is covering for someone who is away. It is not until I ask to speak with a supervisor that I get a hint of something happening.
The care-less attitude and sloppy service from the Town of Stony Plain has happened to me more times than I care to count.
Bottom line: I do not do business with the Town of Stony Plain unless I absolutely have to.
The only thing I do not like about living in Stony Plain is when I have to deal with the Town Office. Incompetent does not begin to describe how I feel about these people.
