This is where we got married in November 2006! Lynn was our event coordinator, Freda was our assistant event coordinator & they exceeded our expectations. I don't believe I was the easiest bride....and they walked me & my hubby through every step of the wedding planning process to make sure we didn't forget a step. The day of the wedding was very smooth. I was surprised actually how well everything turned out.
The venue itself is beautiful. The Tower Club is on the 48th floor of the Thanksgiving Tower in downtown Dallas & is completely surrounded by windows. You can see all of downtown Dallas no matter what room you are in- all beautiful views. Tower Club itself has nice furniture, drapes, and a nice selection of linens to choose from from BBJ Linen.
The food on our wedding day was from the Tower Club, and being the food nut that I am, I wanted it to be damn good. It was! They allowed us to customize some things as well- for example, they had fried shrimp on the menu, and I asked if it could be breaded in panko bread crumbs instead to make it lighter- not a problem! How cool is that? Also, the mashed potato martini bar was a huge hit and tasted great- it looked very elegant as well. Another fun addition was a coffee & hot chocolate bar where people could customize their coffee w/ cinnamon swirl sticks & dollops of whipped cream & chocolate shavings. Although people were drinking, I saw one of our friends walk by with a big ass coffee drink w/ whipped cream on top that looked pretty tasty.
One of the MOST special parts of our entire wedding night was at one point, they pulled Bryan & I aside into a separate room to a candlelit dinner so we could actually eat. We sat for about 5-10 minutes eating our food & drinking champagne- the rest of the wedding had no idea we were even gone. They packed us up a doggie bag to go that night as well, but the fact that we had those few minutes to get off our feet & eat our food freshly cooked together was so cool.
I would highly recommend the Tower Club to anyone planning a wedding, Christmas party, etc- flawless execution by Lynn & Freda.Listed in: Nuptial Bliss

The Tower Club was an absolutely wonderful place to have my wedding! They provided all the set up, break down, catering, staff, security - EVERYTHING about the venue! The view on the 48th floor was spectacular in the evening. Diane - the venue coordinator was wonderful to work with. She made the bubble tea vendor, the photobooth, and child care services fit within space. This is such a gorgeous and modern venue that truly showcased all of DFW from an aerial view! The food was fantastic, too!

We were members for a time following a young urbanites membership drive. We thought it would be a fun place to meet fellow downtown professionals and enjoy the events and views. While there were some noteworthy times - the McCallen scotch tasting was a stand out - most of the time the crowd was very...um....mature. Not our scene. We felt duped by the membership drive hype and promise for social calendars that reflected our generation. Management made the membership cancellation harder than it had to be.

I attended my friend's bridesmaids' luncheon here, and we truly had a wonderful time. The views from the corner room were spectacular, and the room had fabulous natural light. It was genuinely a perfect space for a leisurely Friday afternoon lunch.
The food was very good as well. We started with a tortilla soup, which was delicious, especially with the frigid air (and snowflakes) outside. We then had a grilled chicken salad, which was quite tasty. It had goat cheese, which always makes me a happy girl. We finished with 2 different desserts; every other girl received a different one. That was fun because we could each taste 2 different things.
Overall, our group had a wonderful time together, and the atmosphere was very, very nice. I highly recommend the corner room for an event - it has amazing city views, and you feel like you're floating in the sky.
