Review from Diep P.

Golf - an expensive and boring "sport' that has ever been created.....until TOP GOLF! In truth, I personally do not oppose the idea of golf being a sport but I do know many that do.
ToP Golf offers conveniences from the beginner to the hard core enthusiasts of the sport. There are two levels to choose from so that there plenty of bays to use. A bowling type of theme is used at this establishment. What does that mean? There is a microchip placed into each one of the golf balls. Before you begin trying your luck at knocking the ball, you place it through a scanner that ID it to your personal profile to keep track of where the ball lands. Out on the green there are multiple targets, depending on which one you hit, that will be your score.
Along with the multiple ways of trying to learn the sport of golf comes the multitude of great food and drinks provided. The staff will provide wonderful services in a timely manner to help make your visit enjoyable!
Whether you are a first timer or and avid golfer, you can't beat the grand experience that you receive at TOP GOLF! -
Review from Cody F.
Want to enjoy the positives of Golf without the Marshals, waking up at 5am to get a decent game, and not spending 6 hours of your day at a course?
Top Golf is just for you!
You get a very good representation of golf but that isn't overwhelming and overcomplicated for people that have never held a pitching wedge in their life. If you suck and whiff at the ball half of the time? Doesn't matter because almost everyone else there does. Can you crank the ball 300 yards without batting an eye? Awesome, there are a few that can and others will watch you and ask for tips. This adds a very social atmosphere to the sport, which makes its much more enjoyable to the masses.
On top of that they have a very large wait staff and two full serve bars that keep the imbibing coming throughout your stay. You can also get some pretty decent food if you need to grub to soak up the alcohol; Its not fantastic but its better than Chili's.
They also have a ton of rental clubs so if you don't own a set it isn't a problem, and I have NEVER seen them run out of clubs which is pretty incredible.
Time to get down to the details: You need a Top Golf card which they put money on and it allows you to buy balls that have your information programed into them. When you decide to play, drop each ball you're about to hit in the little feeder before you launch it into the range. If it drops in the open areas around the pins, it calculates how close you were and how far you hit it, and it gives you points for it. All of this reads on a bay that you've got and you and your friends can play different games against each other. Its tons of fun.
There are some downsides......the wait can be HORRID. If you go during peak hours on the weekend, get ready for a 3-4 hour wait. You can use the batting cages or mini-golf while you wait or just get some drinks and watch sports on the TVs at the bars. So the wait isn't nearly as bad because you have plenty to do, but this also keeps you spending money....clever Top Golf. It can get expensive because of this too, it can get very expensive and time consuming, just like real golf but I have never gone and had a bad time.
Overall, it is a very fun experience all around with tons of stuff to do in a smallish space. It can get expensive and the wait can be intolerable at times. Well I guess this ends my review because there is a tornado on its way here. Thanks for reading! -

I would give Top Golf five stars, but they have got to really work on their food and please............... POLISH and CLEAN your darn drink glasses! There are always lipstick and crusty stains! What a turn off when you're craving a nice cold beer. My tip: get a styrofoam cup. Service.... well it's gotten better. Other than that, i always have a good time here with fam and friends......
Wait, one more thing..
It usually is hella packed on the weekends, especially if it's tolerable or beautiful weather. If the wait is long and you want to kill time by playing mini golf, it is FREE. Do not go to the little shack and pay. And because you didn't read this in time. Let the manager know... MR. HUTCH, he's awesome and will reimburse you golf games equivalent to what you paid for mini golf/batting.
That is all. -
Review from Kinz M.
I've lived in Dallas, and had my first time at TopGolf... it's amazing. no joke. I'm now addicted for sure.
Here's the thing: I suck at golf. But I'm GREAT at TopGolf! They have a lot to offer as far as fun is concerned. They have lower/upper level golf, batting cages, putt-putt, and they create fun.
The food is decent for a place like this. It's not amazing, but it's definitely not the worst. The service is great for the most part, and they also have large conference rooms for business meetings and such. Good to know!
Now, the one complaint about this location is that the ball dropper (uh... not sure what it's called. Sorry 'bout that) is manual, not automatic. One of my friends told me that the location in addison is automatic. Just swing your club in front of the monitor, and it drops the ball. Awesome. Gotta check that out.
So I'm now "subscribed" or whatever they call it. It's a membership thing. I recommend it. And prices are reasonable too! Go here on a nice day. Swing the club and smack some balls. -
Review from Cat N.
So I guess if I suck at golf then the place gets a bad rating, right? hahah jk
I grew up in Dallas but I've never been here before. Yeah I know...where have I been? apparently, not playing golf at top golf. Oh man, I'm missing out on so much! it was so fun! I bet it's better when you're drunk! hahaha
I have tips for you first timers because I was lost. I asked the girl to tell me what to do and she started talking about a card that I needed to get. I wasnt even sure why I needed a card but sure, I guess I'll take one. Okay, so you get a card with your name on it, you buy games and it's loaded on the card. You stick your card in the machine to get your golf balls...your name is electronically imprinted on it. It knows where your balls go, so if you hit it over the net get ready to pay for a broken window or something. You get 20 balls per game and that can go by pretty quickly....They have different sizes of clubs but not women. I started out with the little kitty clubs but then opted out for the standard.
the staff were really attentive. Always walking around asking everybody if they needed anything. -
Review from Grace K.
I have to admit, I'm not much of a golf lover...at all. However, I do enjoy the driving range - it relieves a lot of stress and it's just fun to see how hard you can hit the ball and how far it can go! This place is SUPER crowded on the weekends - and beware of the drunks who swing their golf clubs all over the place and don't see where they're going or what they're doing. They have 2 levels for the driving range and there's plenty of space to hang out or sit down and have a drink. The bar is pretty spacious and the bartenders are very attentive.
I do have to say it's pretty filthy inside and out and I don't blame them for not being quick to clean up - with so many crazy people, cleaning every half hour would be a waste of time for them. Just walk around the empty cups and cans and what not. It is a great place to hang out though and during the spring and fall - it's the best to just chill outside, chit chat, and drink a cold beer!Listed in: Like an owl in the night, Hangin' out

I was pleasantly pleased and satisfied with my visit to Top Golf. It's like an adult playground. You can play regular golf, miniature golf, bat at the batting cages or just hang out in the bar area. they have a nice food menu, too.
The landscaping is pretty. The cost is cheap ($7 per person for UNLIMITED mini golf.) They have (3) different 18-hole mini golf courses. Tons of fun. Convenient location.
I can't wait to go back!
*please note that hitting the balls in the batting cages HURTS YOUR HANDS LIKE HELL!. they might try to talk you into buying the option with 120 balls, but trust me, that would be way too much. the experience was VERY painful and hurts your hands badly. if you just HAVE to try the cages, i suggest purchasing the lowest option first. -

Review from Jacob T.
What makes TopGolf great is that you don't have to be a golfer to have a good time. Some argue that there's not much to do in Dallas except eat, drink and shop, but TopGolf is the exception that proves the rule.
Others have described the concept and how the game works, so I'll just say that it's a lot of fun as a golfer to hit a shot and get immediate feedback as to how far you hit it, etc. I also love the fact that it's essentially a driving range with beer. That said, I wish the beer selection was better, but I won't ding them on it since they're not in market of offering microbrews.
The initial cost to get set-up is a little high, so I recommend trying to organize a work outing or team-building event here so that you can get someone else to pay for your membership card. After that, you simply pay at-cost for the individual games (which will still run you $6.00 for 20 balls - yikes!)
I considered giving the place 4 stars because of the cost and lack of beer offerings, but this place deserves 5 for doing a great job of offering a unique/alternative form of entertainment in a great setting - and Dallas is one of the only cities you can find it in! -
Review from Matt D.
This place is always a good time but the wait can be horrendous on days where the weather is actually nice in Dallas. We tried going here last Friday and the wait was 3 hours at 8:30 pm at night! They do let you play putt putt for free while you wait which is a nice consolation and they have a nice bar area inside and open patio to chill and have a couple drinks while you wait. Games are $3 each which is pricy for golf but you're not there to work on your swing, you're there to have fun with friends.

Man I love this place. It is such a good time and I'd say everyone should check it out. I kinda wish I lived in the apartments across the street bc my golf game would be awesome!! I signed up for their website and get extra deals and some texts to win stuff too. They seem to have a lot of promotions going. The food is good (mushi is overated) and the pizza is HUGE. Its just a really fun way to kill some time! I can't wait for it to get a little warmer!

Outside competitive RFID enhanced anti-bowling club swinging fun game time - with pitchers of beer. This is Top Golf.
Comforts:
Hot as hell - fans with mist.
"Cold" as hell - heating units.
Conclusion: No excuse not to play here. I even came on Thanksgiving Day (2009) to play a few rounds with my dad and brother while the turkey cooked itself.
Seriously though, this is such an addicting place. If I lived closer, I see no reason why I wouldn't be here just about every day of the week.
I am partial to the games Top Golf and Top Shot, both of which require moderate skill and a bit of patience. Just don't forget to activate your ball - because that one time you do, you'll hit it somewhere good and the computer will laugh at your and be all like...nope.
I recommend you play up top - the view is better and it gives you the illusion that your shots are much better than they actually are. [Until they drop.] Also, on top you get to see people swing WAY under the ball, so much so that the ball goes straight up, hits the overhang, and scares the shit out of everyone within 5 lanes on either side.
Waitstaff are always coming around to get you more pitchers and deliver the food you will inevitably order. Decent pub fare, nothing special, but definitely exponentially tastier as more beers are consumed.
So, Top Golf - please open up more locations. Come to New England. I'll be your best friend.Listed in: It's A Date, 5 Star Bonanza, Dallas Y'all

Review from Shae W.
Went here for the first time at the beginning of summer and it was actually more fun than I thought it was going to be. I am not interested in golf (though occasionally, with just the right amount of alcohol, I find mini golfing somewhat amusing) but this was actually entertaining. It is kind of like a mix between a driving range and darts. You have all these targets to aim for in the field, and the closer you get to the middle (the bullseye) the more points you get. Being a competitive person, I thought this was pretty fun. Also- if you can manage to get your waitress to actually wait on you, they serve beer while you're golfing.
Over all, good time. Would I want to go every weekend? No. Would I go if a fun group of my friends were going? Yes. -

Really like coming to TopGolf Dallas. The two levels of bays are very nice, and the netting is pretty high for hitting the golf balls. I do however, not necessarily feel comfortable taking out my driver at the Dallas location because of it's relative closeness to the road and houses nearby. The waitstaff are pretty good. If you want to get in when there is no line, the best time to go is Saturday or Sunday morning. I've gone on those days in the mornings and there is no one there, it's great! A great place to let off some steam from the work week!

Review from Dan G.
The Dallas location is my home location. I am here a couple times a week in the Executive Bays if you must find me. I'm a big deal. This is the most fin that you can have while being completely frustrated. The large targets and the little white balls of rage keep you entertained for hours while you have a waitress get you refreshment, food and beer to ease your pain. The Dallas location has the older equipment however it also has a cool miniature golf course as well as batting cages and two putting greens. It is the total package for your golf game. My only complaint is that they don't monitor the Executive bays very well and I pay a lot to be a member and while I'm really not that much of a stickler I think I deserve the exclusivity I pay for.

I love the new changes with top golf, especially the new food menu and the pitchers prices is now affordable and reasonable. I remembered I paid 25 bucks for a shiner pitcher, way overprice. Top Golf Dallas will get all the new stuff that Top Golf Allen will have by January 2012, so definitely looking forward to that because top golf allen is way too far for me. The service is still hit or miss for me, so they could definitely work on the service aspect.
I would definitely recommend getting the 35 dollar deal because you get 45 dollar worth of games, not too bad at all. Overall Top Golf is a great place to have fun, make fun of your friends for their lack of golf skills, and grab some pitchers. -

Skee Ball + Driving Range = Top Golf!
I came here as part of a company event... we were split into teams of 5 and got to play 2 rounds of Top Golf. This was fun for those who've never golfed before, and this was challenging for even those who golf on a regular basis. It was a great team building event... oh and the food was good too!
Definitely a must check out place while you're in Dallas. -

Really, how does it get any better than this? It's like the combination of real life and a video game. I even got $15 free for my birthday.
I'm tempted to drive to Dallas just for this and not tell anyone I'm there. -

I'm not a golfer, but I've learned a few things at Top Golf:
1) A two hour wait on a Saturday afternoon is to be expected.
2) A two hour wait on a Saturday afternoon at the Top Golf bar is FUN.
3) Their guacamole is yummy and their beer is ice cold. Keep it coming.
4) You get free mini golf while you wait....but you'll end up staying at the bar instead.
5) If you say you're not a golfer....buy your 3rd beer you'll be swinging away.
6) Playing in heels and a skirt is accepted here....hell, it's encouraged!
7) The top level is the place to be.
8) You can play as the night rolls in. Even if it's lightening and pouring rain, you can keep the party going at Top Golf.
9) Go ahead and buy the members card....you're going to end up wanting to play more games than you think. Save some money and accept that you won't have the discipline to stop playing.
10) You can bring your dog!
11) Top Golf is wayyyyy more fun than real golf. -

It was my first time here---no "golfing" experience. We got the membership card for $35---but was given $45 credit. Luckily, our friend knew what to do----grabbing golf clubs, a basket, using the ball dispensing machine. I loved how there were chips installed in the balls so we can track where the balls go--each station has a monitor so you can check your scores! That was the neat part. We ordered beer [supposedly ice cold], but because of the 100-degree weather the ice melted fast. Wished our server offered more ice or checked up on it more often. The place was neat and clean. I've still yet to check out their bar!
It was a fun experience--never thought the driving range would be "fun." I will definitely be back--now that I'm a lifetime member! -

Who would have thought RFID could be fun?
Combining a driving range with darts through the use of RFID tagged golf balls, Top Golf is an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. Way better way to do some golfing in Dallas in the summer than actually trying to hike 18 holes. Plus, they bring beer to you! I haven't tried the food yet, but plan to on my next trip. Everything I saw go by looked pretty good.
You seem to get quite a bit for your money here too. I bought the $35 member card, and that got me 3 "games" on a Saturday, 3 more on Monday, and I still have enough left on the card to play another game. -
Review from Dave H.
I'm no golfer, but I enjoyed TopGolf.
In a nutshell, TopGolf is a driving range with colored pits in the field. You're still hitting golf balls far and wide, still trying to beat your personal best, but you're aiming for the target pits. Since your balls are electronically tagged, you know where they're going[1]. Avid golfers can bring their own clubs, and everyone else can rent.
Besides an oh-so-random music playlist, there's a restaurant bar on-site, and servers (eventually) deliver what you want so you can focus on gaming. We kept warm with tasty hot chocolate ($2.25) and heavy shots of vodka (5) which barely affected my game; I'm that inept of a golfer[2]. Next time I hit up a TopGolf[3], I'm ordering chow.
[1] Go ahead, make your perveted jokes, you sickos. (I already did.)
[2] Happily, so are others. Through the evening, balls clunked down near us from folks driving from the second floor.
[3] Closest location to me is in the DC area, so it could happen. Now where did I put that membership card? -

This is the best invention EVER! I like to describe this as a driving range, bowling alley and skeeball - some of the best games when combined!
The waits have gotten better now that the Allen location is open - the service keeps getting better and love when they redid their menu.
The "Mushi" is one of the best appetizers on the menu - it's a Mexican sushi roll. A must try when you go!
Keep it up Top Golf staff - you rock at what you do! -

Dallas doesn't have many things that other cities don't, but this is one. It's like playing the practice mode Wii Golf, but in real life! The experience is great whether you're an avid golfer or don't play at all.
The wait staff is very friendly, but honestly the food isn't all that great. It's typical bar food.
Even if you don't want to drive golf balls, there's miniature golf and batting cages also. And of course, there's a bar area where you can just sit around and watch whatever game is on.
The only real drawback is that this place get super crowded at night, especially when the weather is good (and even when it's not ever since they installed the heat lamps). -
Review from Ray C.
Been here multiple times already so here we go...
Pros:
Miller Lite is always fresh
Cool Concept
Batting Cages
TV's scattered all around
Life sized Jenga --great for determining who pays for the pitcher of beer
Two stories and a VIP section.
Cons:
Blue Moon is usually stale.
Overpriced food that doesn't merit the price tag
At $5.80 rate, it breaks down to .29 each time you drive a ball out there
No heaters outside even though they've been working on installation for months
Clubs' quality is average or dented in.
Misplaced my license one time and did not compensate me. -
Review from Angie H.
I like this place. Certainly something different than your average outing. You can play golf games and drink and eat. The food is good and the service is consistent. If you go during the busy time (Fri, Sat, Sun), it's pretty hard to get a table, but the times I have had to wait aren't unbearable. I do wish they would invest in cleaning the place up a bit. A lot of surfaces and fixtures are flaking and/or broken.

This place is great! It's basically the golf version of bowling or darts. We went for a work event and had a great time. There is lots to do here, but we spent our time in the suites competing in the golfing.
Even if you're not a good golfer (which is me in a nutshell) it can be a ton of fun. It's great for groups and I'm pretty sure I've never seen this anywhere else.
Overall, it's a fun way to spend some time outside and be active, I'm definitely going back! Who's with me?! -

Milpitas, CA
After living nearly 20 years in Dallas, I had no idea this place existed. Now that I work in California, I have no idea why this place doesn't exist in the San Jose/San Francisco Bay Area.
Coming home for the holidays, old friends of mine took me out here for a few rounds. As someone who thought golf was incredibly boring, I never imagined this could be the best $35 I spent during my stay in D-Town ($35 gets you membership and 6 games; golf clubs are available for rental, free of charge).
It's not your typical driving range. Each person receives a set of microchipped golf balls, and hits them to targets out in the field. Points are rewarded when your balls hit their target, and your membership card keeps track of your progress. You don't have to be a pro golfer to enjoy this, as the targets are wide and spread throughout the field. In short, imagine if bowling, golfing, and video gaming got together and made a baby from the three-way.
Food and booze (beer and liquor) are available for purchase, too. -1 star for the slow staff. Either way, there's nothing like getting sloshed and whacking your balls. :] -
Review from Emily W.
I could see the appeal in a place like TopGolf, but in the end, this place just isn't for me. Although, small plus in my book because the place is dog-friendly. :)
TopGolf basically combines the point-system of darts + the alternating turns part of bowling, turns it into a game, and applies it to golf. It's definitely more relaxed than a regular driving range because you can socialize with friends, be loud, order drinks and eat. But if you're looking to improve your golf game, try somewhere else because the prices here are outrageous ($5.80 for 20 balls).
With all the money you'd spend at TopGolf, you'd could buy two extra large buckets of balls and hit off real grass at a driving range and buy double the amount of drinks at your local bar. -
Review from Mark D.

If i could give this place two separate ratings, I would. I'm a big fan of the golfing. Sure it's not a super accurate test of your skill as a golfer. You can skull all 20 balls into the first target on accident and get a good score. But it sure is fun and keeps you at it, and gives you a fun way to get people who aren't serious golfers to come out with you. I give it 4 stars for golf.
I give it 2 stars for food. In my experience, the only thing worth eating is the "flagsticks" (fried cheese sticks), and even those are pretty standard. All of the other food i've had has been generally bad. The drinks are fine, but but they're not particularly cheap and service is generally pretty slow on any time that it gets crowded (think weekends, nice evenings...it's been getting progressively more crowded as people discover the place).
Tip - if you're going to be here a lot, seriously consider the gold membership. Getting bumped to the front of the line is a huge bonus on a Saturday, as are additional suites and unlimited games. Free drink is ok, but you have to go to the special lounge to get it, so not as spectacular as it sounds. -

Fun place. I've taken groups here, my 8 yr old daughter, or gone just by myself. It's like a super glorified driving range, darts, and bowling all in one. The balls have a microchip in them that you hit into targets on the ground and they register your score. (Driving range/darts) The bowling aspect is that you have a lane (tee off mat) with seats and a table and a scoring monitor. Servers come by and they have full service bar and restaurant. While the food is mainly sports bar/snack bar type fare, it's actually very good. I've been surprised several times how good it is. There's several different types of games to choose from so it doesn't ever get boring. The also retained the old 3 course putt putt and batting cages from what used to be Scotty's golf park. I think you can play as much putt putt as you want for like $6.
It does get very crowded on weekends so come early. It's best when you can just walk out and choose your own stall. I recommend one up stairs in the middle. This is where the bar is and where the servers have to go to get your drinks. The less they have to walk, the better and faster the service...
They've started construction on their newest location up in Allen. It's behind the new Allen Event Center and Villages at Allen. Can't wait cuz I work up in that area. Could be my new office... -
Review from Teresa R.
So I pretty much adore this place. I have NEVER been a golfer... the funny thing about this is that my boyfriend is an AVID golfer; therefore, shortly after we started dating he of course had to show off his mad skills and take me to Top Golf. After visit #1 I was hooked. I love that no matter how skilled or unskilled you are at the sport you will still fit in at Top Golf.
This is a great place to get a group of friends together to relax, have some cocktails and whack a few balls. Not only is there the driving range area where you can compete at one of the games provided using the ball tracking technology, but there is also a mini course for those who want to get some putting practice in.
Top Golf is good for some wholesome family fun, but because they have cocktail waitresses/bartenders serving frosty bevs into the late hours of the night it can also be a place to let loose with friends and maybe even karaoke which they have every Thursday night.Listed in: Big D Favorites

Review from Joshua W.
An upgraded driving range is the best way to describe it. You get microchipped balls that target where they land on your personalized screen. Different styled golf games can be played with the microchipped balls so it's different than your standard driving range. Quite fun for a get together outing, and everyone from beginners to experts can have a good time. They offer beer and bar food, but its pretty expensive no lie. Even getting balls to hack at is priced way higher than the driving range.

We just want give kudos' to Ken McGarrie and his staff at Topgolf in Dallas. Our Bible Fellowship Class had decided to do a dine and mini golf and had decided on Topgolf due to the recommendations on the quality minigolf course.
Ken set us up in a neat location where we could all be together to enjoy our dinner and time of fellowship. In fact he returned several times to check on us to make sure everything was as it needed to be. We were all awed by the accommodations provided and the attention we received. Our class usually has a fellowship somewhere every other month or so and this was by far one of the greatest experiences we have ever had. The food was just simply scrumptious. The service was superior as well as the attitude of every employee we came in contact with at Topgolf. Ken made it all happen and we truly appreciated his kindness, attitude and management skills.
We have to include our server Paige in all this for she was very efficient in meeting our needs, getting our orders correct and keeping our glasses filled. Any eating establishment would be honored with her service to their patrons but we were so blessed she works for Topgolf and Ken assigned her to our group. Ken made a great choice in Paige. Thank you Paige. You were just simply awesome and so sweet to all of us!
Thank you Ken, Paige and Topgolf for a wonder experience!

The wind is gently blowing through my hair, as I slip on my Nike Tech Xtreme Golf Glove. I'm on hole three at Pebble Beach, about to execute an Eagle from the elevated tee... or maybe I'll just drive that ball into the middle of The Pacific Ocean.
With my Ping G5 driver in hand, I tee off at a 15.5 degree angle utilizing the 5 mph tailwind to my advantage and launch that bitch 332.1 yards with a 1800 (rpm) spin condition.
I turn to Jack Nicholson and yell "you can't handle the truth!"
I opened my eyes and realized that Jack was really my non golfin ass girlfriend and that wind, gently blowing through my hair, was just me passin gas.
I shake off this cold reality and eyeball that ball. I rear back and come down, on my little bald pimple fuck, like Serena Williams playing American Cricket and blast that ball into the blinding stadium lights. I might not see my ball plop into The Pacific, but it might hit the 250 yrd score hole, not only giving me points, but a goobermenschesque sense of victory. Ode to the little computer chip in the ball, that soon might be in my forehead, tracking it's every move.
I like it here. It's just a mile down from the ghetto and they serve beer. Actually they have a full bar and restaurant, though it may not be The Terrace Lounge at The Lodge at Pebble Beach, it will most certainly do... At this glorified driving range in Ol' Big D. -

So....I'm kind of obsessed with this place. You have two options.
1. You're a golfer...If this is the case, you have finally found what you've been searching for, your entire golfing career. This is basically a double decker driving range, you have your own account, the computer knows your balls(giggidy), you play games against your buddies, and you're going to sharpen your game here, more so than any other golf facility. Not only are you hitting at a target, you are trying to get it in precise quadrants of said target. You're gonna love it.
2. You're not a golfer...guess what? It don't matta. This driving range just so happens to be located inside of a bar, restaurant, theme park, and is basically happy fun land. The bars and the staff wait on you hand and foot, the food is great, or go next door and play putt putt. It's like when Tom Hanks got that big studio apartment in BIG, and there are no parents and no rules, do whatever you want. Plus, give Topgolf a whirl, i've know several people who had never played golf, and now they're addicted to Topgolf. Beers, games, good crowd....I dare you to try it once, and not come backListed in: Where I drank!

Review from Samantha W.

I'll preface this by saying I might be the best girlfriend ever.
Once again in my grand girlfriendly efforts to please my man, I found the holy grail of golf entertainment.
Try your hardest to imagine the games of bowling and golf created a child. This child would combine the electronic scoring and the lazy, beer drinking aspects of bowling, with the awesome outdoorsyness, and the pretentiousness, of golf. This child is aptly named TopGolf.
Highlights:
-$35 year membership with 6 free games
-waitress comes to your golf stall thing
-open until 11PM (this means if you're in Mesquite and at 10:40 you -decide to go to TopGolf, you will probably make it :P)
-electronic distance measurements (if you make it in a target)
-really powerful ceiling fans for cooling down in the Texas heat
-two levels of driving stalls (I prefer the top, myself ........(twss))
-putting green
-mini-golf (we have yet to do this)
-full bar with food stuffs
Not so highlights:
-sometimes there is a wait (we've experienced this once)
-chances are the guys in the stall next to you will be dudebros in plaid shorts that go there to show off the clubs daddy bought them
-the waitresses have been slow
Overall this place is aawwweesssomeeee. I would go here everyday if i could. Great night out with a group, or on a date :)Listed in: Date Night

So I am not a golfer by any stretch of the imagination, but I always have a great time here. I was dragged over initially by coworkers for a work outing and then actually ended up having a lot of fun even though I had never hit a golf ball in my life.
TopGolf is kind of like a driving range and a bowling alley combined. You play in "suites," and there is a full menu and bar available. There's service at the suites, but don't be surprised if it's slow.
As far as the actual golfing part, there are targets in the ground, and you can play different games with your friends to try to get the most points by hitting the targets. Or you can just "practice" and see how far you hit the balls without actually keeping track of points.
There are also batting cages and a mini golf range on site.
TopGolf is a great alternative to bowling if you are looking to do something semi-active with your friends. And don't be intimidated if you've never golfed before; it's a very relaxed atmosphere, and although there are some experts out there, there are plenty of other people who don't know what they're doing either.
