    Got Toddlers?

I took my four year old to Tommy K Play for the first time last Friday afternoon. It was excellent and my daughter loved it - we both did!

    What can you expect?

Noise - lots of happy screaming voices from kids who are having a great time & excited to play with their friends. There's a little bit of everything so check out their website for more details http://www.tommykplay....

There's something for the 6 month old right up to the 8 year old...

Food - you can't bring your own but they do supply relatively nutritious solutions.

Bathrooms are clean and checked up on every thirty minutes.

Lots of seating for the parents who trust their kids to play appropriately. My observation was there is TOO much trust ;-)  I saw more than a few parents and a grandpa more interested in their laptop or iPad than their kids at play. Thus I witnessed a bit of pushing and selfish behaviour - nothing serious mind you - if you're watching YOUR children, it won't be an issue.

The staff are very good - available and more than approachable. I had a challenging experience which required immediate attention and Nicole, the Site Director, was extremely professional and handled things immediately. All good and the very reason I'll come back.

If you've got little ones and you're looking for a place to go where they can burn off some energy, Tommy K Play has to be on your "To Do List" - especially when the weather is in the deep freeze.

    Enjoy!

Time to unleash your inner child &/or turn your little ones loose!

Tommy K Play is an amazing indoor wonderland, recently open in the far south yonder of Calgary.  A great indoor playground, with some fun additions - a Mission Impossible style laser maze & a roller race track.  Best of all, adults can play too (FREE!! even.)

Their security setup is amazing.  They have monitors everywhere, so if you need a break from chasing the kiddos, you can plop yourselves at a table, or one of their comfy leather chairs while you enjoy free wireless or satellite tv, while still being able to keep track of those you're with.

It is very clean & as pleasant as an environment as one can expect from a child-centred recreational facility.  Definitely an easy way to pass a few comfortable hours on these dreary winter days we seem to be cursed with.  (Even my almost 11 year old loves it here!)

A full service cafe is on site.  Prices are reasonable for the most part, with lots of healthy offerings for little ones.  Word of caution - the coffee was terrible enough that I have never worked up the nerve to order it again. No outside food & drinks either.

Lockers! They have plenty.  Bring your own lock with you if you want to store things securely.

This is a brand new indoor playground for kids. The best part is, there is something for kids of all ages.
A separate small area for babies and toddlers with toys, blocks, and plush areas to jump into is along the rear of the facility. This area is gated and surrounded by a counter with bar stools to "watch" your kids. I personally think you should be with your kids more, especially since at this age kids don't really share very well etc.
The big play structure for older kids is fantastic. It is safe and clean and a lot of fun for the kids. Smaller kids will have a hard time climbing up some of the parts (including the pathway to the big slide) so smaller kids will need help from a caregiver.
At busy times the older kids tend to trample the smaller kids anyway so supervision is a good idea.
Menu options are healthy and moderately priced with a good selection of adult beverages as well (coffee, cappuccino etc)
Rest rooms were clean and tidy with stools for toddlers to reach the sink.
This is a great place to take kids to blow of steam, but I would recommend going at off times. (ie. weekday mornings)
