Tokyo Express is really good. I don't think people give them enough credit.
I love the Mexican rolls and I love the California rolls. I've also had the spicy tuna and it was really good too.
I don't often get the beef or chicken bowls. If I want something like that, I go to Edo Japan. But when I want sushi, I go to Tokyo Express.
The Mexican rolls are so good. They are spicy (and even more spicy with my soy sauce/wasabi concoction). I love them.
They are really efficient here too. Even when they are busy, everything moves smoothly and everyone works together like a well-oiled machine.
Tokyo Express = Yummy! -

Maybe I'm just a little sushi'd out, but I can't say I ever find myself dying to eat at Tokyo Express. This location has a menu that matches St. Albert's, but they both just seem really weird. Different combos, things like that.
I suppose they're not lying when they say that this is a healthier kind of fast food. (Panda Express next door, now THEY are lying when they say it's healthy fast food.) But for someone who didn't grow up eating seafood of any kind (older brother had allergies), and doesn't eat too much of it now, I don't find a lot of healthy options here. It's either tempura or spring rolls, kids.
If you're on the south side, it's an OK option, but it might just be worth the extra 5 minute drive to South Common. -

Last night I had the best sushi of my life. I got it from this Tokyo Express.
Yum Yum Yum. I think it was so amazing because I watched my sushi being made fresh and I knew it was going to be super flavourful when I finally got to bite into it.
I also got a salad from here and it was so fresh and yummy. Their tiny salads from here only cost $3.00 and it is filled with shredded carrots, bean sprouts and cucumber in a vinegar dressing.
This Tokyo Express is my new favourite! -

There was a time when I had never had sushi before (I know I lived a sheltered life) and one day I tried sushi for the first time. And it wasn't at a fancy restaurant, it was at Tokyo Express. I actually really like this restaurant, and this location is my favourite. It's not an upscale sushi dining experience, it's fast food. Prices are pretty good, and you get lots of food. Be warned sushi is deceiving. It looks small so you think "I'll get a few extra pieces" but you won't be able to eat it all. My favourite thing to order is the beef bento box with sushi and dumplings (I'm not a tempura fan). I love the dumpings sometimes I crave them in my sleep. I don't like the mango pudding they serve with it though, I'd rather have the fruit they used to have.

Tokyo Express gets you quick delicious food that can be healthy. I say CAN because some people (like myself) load on sauces and just don't care about health. They offer many things (rice bowls, soup, sushi) and they get them to you quick. My favorite is the Teriyaki Chicken bowl. It is very popular.
The service is quick and friendly and the place is really nice. A mix between a fast food joint and an actual restaurant. It is kept clean and classy. A great place for a quick bite that offers some exotic flavor.
