Tofino Espresso Bar has been a labour of love since opening back in early May 2010. Owned and operated by the couple, John and Jen Paraskevopoulos, the cafe gets its name from the city of Tofino in BC, where the two had fallen in love. Since then, they have brought their love and their passion for coffee from the west coast by opening this cozy café in the neighbourhood of The Beach.
Since moving in, they have redesigned and furnished the spot where a Second Cup chain had operated, bringing to life their vision of owning an independent family-run coffee shop.
At Tofino, they view coffee with such passion that it's only fitting they exclusively use ultra-high quality Intelligentsia coffee beans- a company which views coffee-making like a culinary art.
The Paraskevopoulos' felt The Beach was in need of some fantastic coffee that required love, attention and care poured into every drink made and served in this iconic neighbourhood in Toronto. In identifying that need, they certainly delivered. -

The latte I had was smooth and the milk was perfectly light and frothy. The interior is spacious with groovy jazz tunes. It's been 3 months since the opened and the secret is getting out that the coffee here is gooood. My companion said his espresso was "awfully dang good!".
