This is a must-stop while you're doing your South Okanagan wine tour. It's easy to drop by when you've come up Highway 97 from Osoyoos (stopping at Hester Creek, Gehringer Brothers, Tinhorn Creek, Road 13, Inniskillin, Antelope Ridge, etc) and want to head back on Black Sage Road (Quinta Ferreira, Le Vieux Pin, Silver Sage, Desert Hills, Burrowing Owl, etc).
For all that tasting you're going to do, you need a good lunch! And a glass of wine to actually drink (not just taste!). There's a great menu at this restaurant and an award-winning BC wine list.
It's not overdone. You can feel relaxed in whatever you happen to be wearing and still get great, friendly service and a terrific meal. Think soup and sandwich with an artful or posh twist.
They have a outdoor patio, but you might be ready for air conditioning if you're there in the heat of the Okanagan summer. Either way, it's a great spot!
Make sure to check out the VQA wine shop attached (if you don't have a full trunk from wine touring already). -

Not sure, but the place looks like it's having a tough go of it, what with the slower economy and all. The wording on their website is a bit worrying:
WE ARE CLOSED FOR THE 2008/2009 WINTER SEASON. VISIT US IN THE VQA WINE STORE AND GIFT SHOPPE, LOCATED ON THE RESTAURANT PREMISES AND OPEN ALL WINTER.
You might want to call ahead, just to be sure. They've been trying to sell the place for quite awhile and if they couldn't find buyers in the boom days, well....
