Yeah for Tix On The Square! I've recently started using TOTS (although no one actually calls it that) more and more as my fellow Edmontonians are planning more and more brilliant events. Pecha Kucha, Bonfire Festival, most Citadel shows, some summer fests, the Edmonton Youth Orchestra, and more. Basically any kind of arts show in Edmonton sells their tix through this little business (run by the Edmonton Arts Council). It's by far the best way to secure yourself a seat for weekly Chimprov.
Even better than finding myself buying tickets through TOTS is finding awesome events going on around town by browsing their calendar (which is constantly updated).
I usually do the online order system, which has always been flawless! But you can always head to Churchill Square (as if you needed an excuse to go) to pick up your soon-to-be date night memorabilia, too.Listed in: Five Star Favourites, Date Night, Ticket Outlets

Tix on the Square is a Ticketmaster outlet, but they also sell (and print) tickets for a lot of local events. Their website is a great listing of what's on, and the staff are really helpful for your various ticket related needs.
They also have a lot of Edmonton-related souvenirs for sale. I haven't taken a good look at them, but they appear to have some actual nice things, not just your standard tacky tourist crap.
I like their location too... on the southwest corner of Churchill Square, and the entire east wall is windows for a great view of what's going on outside. -

Your only stop for Pecha Kucha tickets in the city, but Tix on the Square is absolutely more worthy than three trips a year!
Tix on the Square is a wealth of information into fun festivals, events, and attractions. More museums than you could have dreamed about, word festivals, music, different cultural heritage events, most have pamphlets just waiting for you to peruse.
It is also a gateway to culture, selling tickets to concerts, plays, and much more!
Want to read a local magazine like Where or Avenue? There are racks of magazines to sort through.
Maybe you're looking for a souvenir. Something that just shouts: Edmonton! Look no further. Postcards, knick knacks, videos, and all your standard gifts to send to family and friends are all in one spot. They also feature a lot of local books, art, and more.
Best of all, it's in Churchill Square. Enjoy a festival in the square, visiting City Hall and the swimming pool/skating rink, have a coffee at Three Bananas, take public transportation, or visit the downtown library! Or perhaps you'd rather just stroll the streets of Edmonton? The location offers up a variety of options.
So when you think about Tix on the Square, remember that it's more than just picking up tickets. Stay, look around, and learn more about Edmonton and area. -

Tix on the Square is located right in Churchill Square downtown. It's a full Ticketmaster outlet, but goes beyond. If you're looking for something to do tonight, check out Tix because a lot of times they have tickets to local events available for half price! I know for certain the Winspear used to sell tickets through them for the Friday night Masters Series concerts there at half price, the Citadel has for some shows. Go to their website and click on "RUSH TICKETS" to see if there's anything for tonight.
They're BIG supporters and advocates of the local arts scene and are informative about what's happening in the city. In the summer, you can purchase advance food tickets for Taste of Edmonton here at a discount. They also have an extensive listing of local events on their website of things you may not otherwise know about - like stuff going on at the University, book readings, many small venue events.
