    Absolutely love this place.

I own two dogs (an Australian Shepherd and an Alaskan Malamute) and the staff at Tisol know exactly what the diet, temperament and behavioural patterns of each breed are like. They are always polite, helpful and available for assistance whenever it is needed.

This particular Tisol location is also very clean, spacious with many of the available canine and feline foods, treats and equipment available on the market. Prices are competitive (some might be a little more expensive than competitors), but one can find anything and everything in one trip here.

What I absolutely love about Tisol is their return policy. Never have I had an issue with any returns or exchanges even if the tag has been removed. They are very lenient as long as you have your product and receipt.

Feel free to bring your dog(s) shopping with you. It's just as much as an adventure for them as it is for you. Staff might also spoil them with treats as they exit (with permission, of course).

Store hours fit anyone's schedule and it is easily accessible via Grandview Highway with plenty of free parking stalls to go around.

Not quite as busy as Main Street, but the staff are very friendly and helpful, although not quite as knowledgeable as Main street location.  The store seems spacious like a warehouse and has lots of selection.

So loving the Tisol stores. What is there not to love, they are local, friendly & knowledgeable staff, clean stores, great prices that are actually cheaper than the box stores and all the brands you want including raw food.

I love going in and looking at all the fun toys for the canines and felines. One must get toys.. the pooch is bad as he gets to pick out what he wants. Can you say spoiled! The meowzers are happy when wheat grass is brought home or some cat nip. They aren't picky they just want their goodies too.

My favorite thing about this store is the fact that you will not find animals for sale. That alone is a store that I can support. I will not even walk into a pet store that sells dogs or cats unless of course they are rescues.  But unfortunately those stores are usually more expensive and most times the staff are not knowledgeable about the products they sell. Tisol is where I go for my canine and feline needs.

I really want to teach the cats how to use the toilet, Tisol sold me the kit and said if it doesn't work you can always bring it back. This kind of helpful service is one of the reasons why I love (and the dog loves) shopping at Tisol

The store a good size, not a giant warehouse but a good open space that will give you and your pet plenty of room to shop. Stock is well organized and it's easy to find the things that you are looking for. They carry most premium brands of food and they have a large freezer section for frozen raw food.

Prices are good, the cat litter I normally purchase is $9, the same bag at PetSmart is $12, after I noticed this the larger pet chain stores lost my business.

The other small but nice to have feature is a pet scale. I use this from time to time to track the amount of food the dog is eating, much more accurate than a home scale.

The real question is, did the cats learn how to use the toilet? Not at all, in fact thanks to the foiled experiment they discovered how to use the toilet everywhere else, like the master bed! Will I return the kit? No, knowing I could return it makes me happy.

The service here is all right, nothing to write home about. What really bothers me is that this place fails to store the raw dog food properly. I was at the store in the afternoon, and I saw piles of raw dog food on the floor of the store, whereas the staff were all chatting away and had no intention of storing the raw food into the freezer ASAP. It is not rocket science to store raw food in the refrigerator or in this case, in the freezer to prevent microbial organisms from multiplying. I was at the store for a total of 30 mins, and when I left the store, the raw food was still lying on the floor, neglected. The raw food was probably on the floor for at least 3-4 hours, on the floor, on the same floor that they have those pest control products (boxes) in place. Will not in a thousand miles purchase raw dog food at this location. Also, they toy selection sucks, everything looks like its from the dollar store, but its sold for at least 10-12 times or even 20 times the dollar store price. Cannot recommend at all...hopefully they do not get any animals sick from NOT properly storing the raw dog food whenever they recieve such a shipment. Keep your priorities first!!

NO DAMN HIPSTERS, NO DAMN HIPSTERS. Say it with me, NO DAMN HIPSTERS! Although this Tisol is a little bit further for me to get to, I would much rather come here than the Main & 14th location. Not only is it spacious and clean, the staff is friendly, the selection is big, it's well organized, there's free parking in their parking lot, and most importantly *drum roll please* NO DAMN HIPSTERS!

Disclaimer: No hipsters were intentionally offended in the writing of this review.

I have always wanted a Tisol near my neighbourhood, and it was always either going out to Main and 15th, or way out near Middlegate to get to one of these, what I would call a Costco of pet stores.

One of the things with this one, besides the fact that it is new, is the fact that it is big. And always has what I want, with the friendly knowledgeable staff always helps.

The prices are good, and the store is pet friendly, with many people bringing there pets with them to shop. Also there is convience with the parking lot, unlike the others.
