I have to dig back into the recesses of my mind for this review. The Tin Fish was one of the first places I ate in Nova Scotia. At the time, I assumed all restaurants would be funky, colourful and have amazingly delicious local fare. Not so, Tin Fish is special!

Ranging from casual to semi-upscale for dinner, this place is an excellent stop off for a romantic dinner if you're visiting Lunenburg for the weekend.

Be sure to check out the Tin Fish Story as found on their menu.

Quality of cuisine has been inconsistent in the past. . A better choice for lunch but almost every time I have dined here there were very few customers. On my trip last winter the food was far too pricey for the quality and presentation. Staff is friendly and helpful and the town of Lunenburg is wonderful.

I also stayed at the hotel in which this restaurant is located.  It is called The Lunenburg Arms.  I was very pleased with the room and the rates.

I also see from looking at more recent Yelp! reviews that the quality of the food has improved so this review may no longer be applicable.  The decor is very attractive and the ambiance is quite nice.

My friend and I were in Lunenburg, NS looking for a place to eat when we came upon The Tin Fish.  What an amazing find!  Not only was the atmosphere lovely and a little "funky" but the food was delicious!  The staff were very friendly and courteous.  It was quite a delightful experience!  Definitely merits more visits.
