There is a reason why Timothy's Frozen Yogurt constantly has a line-up every time Steveston Village and the Fisherman's Wharf is open. This place is simply worth every minute of waiting and every penny.

I've been to Steveston numerous times and I was never in the mood for ice cream until yesterday - best decision I made in a long time.

The waffle cones served at Timothy's are made fresh and flawless in every way possible. Pair that with any choice of ice cream or frozen yogurt and you've perfected perfection (didn't think that was possible, did you?) If you're not allergic to nuts and indecisive, order a waffle cone with pistachio ice cream (take my word for it!).

Now that summer's just around the corner, there's nothing more sublime than sitting by the water, basking in the warmth, admiring the picturesque view and savouring the dessert of all desserts.

It could be raining or even snowing, but when it comes to frozen treats it is summer year round! One of the local gems of Steveston Village, Richmond is Timothy's Frozen Yogurt. This iconic shop is located right next to the dock and attracts both locals and tourist year round. They are famous for their fresh fruit yogurt, delicious homemade waffle cones. Of course, like any great dessert place they also serve gelato ice cream, sorbet and coffee. The interior is cute and has a bit of a retro vibe with a couple small high-top tables.

My all time favourite is their mango and mixed berries - sweet and tangy yet deliciously sinful. The texture is rich and creamy - sometimes I forget it is a frozen yogurt! Do yourself a favour - please enjoy your frozen treat(s) with a waffle cone, even if you are scared it might melt. You won't be disappointed.

Now that you've powered up, don't forget to enjoy the beautiful scenary, shipyards, the Old Cannery Museum and do some shopping at the local boutiques or rent a bike to work off the calories!

BTW, this place is Cash Only.

Every time I come home for a visit, Timothy's is a totally required stop! This week I had some friends visiting from out of town (Seattle & Miami) so of course I took them on a tour of Steveston.

We stopped by Timothy's after eating lunch and the three of us devoured some frozen yogurt and gelato. I had blackberry and blueberry, one friend had blackberry raspberry, and the other friend had pistachio and chocolate gelato. Of course, I knew that mine would be delicious, and my friends were just as impressed as I knew they would be!

Timothy's is a Steveston staple, it never disappoints! Be prepared - they only take CASH and the lines can get pretty darn crazy on hot summer days!

This is my all-time favourite stop when I'm in Steveston and needing to settle my monster craving for ice cream and a waffle cone. The waffle cones are usually made fresh to order, and if you see some already made and sitting in a stand, ask if they are willing to make a new one because it's just THAT much better fresh. The cone's batter is rich and not too sweet, when it's all finely formed the outside is crispy and golden with the inside still warm and chewy. Whichever ice cream or yogurt you choose to fill-it with, you can't go wrong. I always go for the White Chocolate Raspberry ice cream - sweet, thick and the flavours taste so happy in my mouth.

As your mouth is in a tumble of joy, your eyes and legs can fest on the beautiful and quaint atmosphere of the once bustling small fishing town of Steveston. Still full of shipyards, an old cannery museum, small shops and businesses, newly built dike walkway, etc..

Steveston is wonderful to walk around in, so take your time and soak in this beautiful place, but don't forget that ice cream!

My friend was feeling a bit down, and so I decided to take her out to clear her mind.

Since she lived in Richmond, near Steveston, I decided to take her there, and we made a stop at Timothy's.

Every visit to Steveston should include a stop at Timothy's!

I love that their waffle cones are freshly made, and their frozen yogurts are delicious. I had a blueberry frozen yogurt while my friend had the coffee gelato. They were both amazing, and the smile it brought to my friend's face was priceless!

Two thumbs up and a bright smile for Timothy's!

Warning: They take CASH ONLY, so come prepared or you might be disappointed.

If you ever find yourself in the outskirts of Richmond, and in the town of Steveston. Don't forget to drop by at Timothy's Frozen Yogurt!

There are two very friendly locations. One in the midst of small shops, and one on the wharf! Both really cute areas to walk around.

The yogurt itself? Its much like Yogen-Fruz! You pick your own fresh fruits, and voiila! it will be transformed into a delectable frozen treat! The plain yogurt itself is fresh, and not too sweet so you can finish the entire cone, not problem!

What I ordered: Rasberry and Blackberry. The only downside to fresh fruit.. is you gotta watch out with seeds. I don't mind it very much, but sometimes when you have icecream/yogurt/gelato.. you just want that smooth, silky, continue to run your tongue through it feeling :)

    I recommend!!

I sure miss those summer days coming to Steveston, walking around with friends and eating frozen yogurt :) There are a bunch of different flavours to choose from and you can mix them as well but the best part is the waffle cone - they are freshly made so they're still warm when they hand it over to you :)

I love this place!  It's always had consistently great ice cream since I first started coming here in high school and I hope it stays that way well past when my yet-unborn children are in high school.

Buy a cup, maybe share (perhaps with a special more-than-friend, if you're 15) and take a nice walk around the pier.  On a nice day in Richmond you can't beat it!

I remember coming here as a young lad after piano lessons for a treat. Located in quaint Steveston, this frozen yogurt and ice cream shop serves up sweet, delectable desserts. It's great on a hot day or if it's cooler, spring for their espresso! I like their peach and mango frozen yogurt the best. As well, they have separate lines for ice cream and for the yogurt.

.... Being located at Steveston harbour, the interior is cozy and cute.  There are some tables to sit at if the weather is too cold to be eating frozen yogurt outside.

The choice of fruits include: strawberry, blueberry,  mango, (which I have tried before,) and peach, cranberry, raspberry, banana, cherry, and mixed berry.

After you chose your fruit, the yogurt is freshly made by combining the fruits and plain white yogurt in a machine.

This time, I ordered the mixed berry in a cup ($4).  I really wanted the waffle cone, but since it was before dinner, I regrettably opted out.  But if you do go, I suggest you order it because it is freshly made and really, really good.  Other customers who ordered after us got their cones made immediately when they ordered it! It takes a few minutes more, but it's really worth the wait when its nice and warm.....

WOWSERS. There is a reason it's lined up. Get cherry banana yogurt. And try to tell yourself it's healthier than regular ice cream. Gelatto can go back to the old country, Timothy's frozen yogurt is the new powerhouse in town.

A must try when in Steveston! In the summer the line up is really long, but it's worth the wait! I like how they make fresh waffle cones, the sweet aroma fills the air outside. This is a tiny shop, with a couple of small tables and seats, but I always grab a yogurt and take a walk around.

My favourite all time flavour is the mixed berries. Sweet with a hint of berry sourness, this is the perfect treat anytime of the year!!

Oh frozen yogurt, how do I adore thee?

Whenever I go down to get some fresh seafood from the boats coming in,  I almost always try to stop @ Timothy's to get something. Although I love ice cream, the frozen yogurt there always wins.

There are a variety of fruits and berries that you can have in your frozen yogurt. You can also mix some too! My fav is mango, and occasionally I'd go for the cranberries or strawberries. If you can't make up your mind about the kinds of berries you'd want, they also have a medley.

Oh, besides the great frozen yogurt, you can choose whether you'd like a waffle cone or not. I personally love the waffle cone because they are made fresh out of the waffle maker and they come out warm with your cold frozen yogurt!

A really good summer treat while you're walking along the docks!

Can't go wrong with the old school frozen yogurt! You definitely cannot order yogurt/ice cream without their waffle cones!! They're freshly made and you can definitely tell the difference coz it's still warm and soft but crunchy!!

Like Pajo's Fish and Chips, Timothy's Frozen Yogurt is a summer delight that draws heat-struck peeps from far and wide.

Not only do you get to pick which fresh fruit you would like to crush and ooze out of the yogurt machine, but these guys make the waffle-cone right there in front of you.

I've been going here since I was a youngin' and it is by far my favourite frozen treat'd place; I have to admit that I have not tried their cafe bevvies, but I can't help but have a yogi everytime I come here.

Unfortunately they only have two locations- one in the heart of Steveston Village, and the other in Garry Point Park; trust me, the drive is worth it.

Recommended Main Deal: blueberry and raspberry frozen yogurt.

    Score: nice, nice, baby.

There is nothing better on a hot day in Steveston than a Timothy's frozen yogurt in a waffle cone.

There's also nothing better on a cold day than a frozen yogurt if it comes from Timothy's, plus bonus: No long lines!

Timothy's is the only place I will buy frozen yogurt. All of the other ones I've tried have had a weird chemical aftertaste that isn't present with Timothy's.

There is a choice of fruits; my favourite is the mixed berry. If you feel cold after the yogurt, buy one of their hot chocolates. Those are delicious!

We popped in today for some ice cream and americanos, and the waffle cone was amazing. We had the dulce de leche which was gooey and wonderful, and the cone was super fresh and soft, which I appreciate. Brittle cones be gone!

This place has the most amazing gelato and waffle cones that I've ever had. Also friendly service, self-service ice water, and really clean. My only complaints are there didn't appear to be a public washroom, and the one lady working needed some back up as the place was packed!!! We will definitely return though; the ice cream and fresh made cones were just soooo good!!

I love the yogurt from this place, it's amazing, everytime i go there for a walk for sure i would get a single cone.  Their cones are freshly made and sometimes it's still warm when it's in your hand.
