I never understood why people reviewed franchises - until I was recently reminded of this North Vancouver Tim Horton's. As Dan T. says, it dips well below the norm of what you expect from Tim's.
They clearly hate their customers. It's 24 hours like most Tim Horton's, but unlike most others when you come here late-night, they serve up everything in to-go bags and don't give you trays. They probably just don't want to bother with washing dishes, but it's a lot of waste for a chili combo I am going to eat-in.
A memorable occasion is when I came here on a late summer night - as expected, everyone was comfortably dressed in tees and shorts. I noticed all the staff wearing heavy sweaters and then realized the air conditioning was cranked up all the way - it was FREEZING in there. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I swear I noticed the staff gleefully smirking in their winter gear as everyone left the restaurant.
I always try to go to another Tim Hortons when possible - and even then, I just go through their drive-through. I'll concede defeat to you bastards.Listed in: Shots Fired

Where do I start? First off I wonder why they can't or won't hire people who can actually speak and understand English properly, like the ones in their commercials. I went there a few months ago to meet a buddy for tea. Used the drive thu to place my order. This is the conversation: Me: "I would like 2 teas, please", attendant: "I don't understand what you want" in a thick accent. I had to repeat my order 3 times plus spell out the word T-E-A to her. After about 10 minutes of trying to explain to her what a tea was, I finally got my tea.

I love Timmie's Double-Double, so I have to say how disappointed I was today. I was working on a reno project in North Vancouver and was returning from the dump (hmmmm) and remembering that there was a drive through (handy), "Oh look Quizno's right there", but i'm already in line, I hope this is a line because it sure isn't moving. Well a sub sounds good, and so affordable... "how about a nice Chicken salad sandwich?" Yummy... well I guess Timmies has started using some sort of mechanically congealed meat substitute, wilty lettuce and the tomatoes were green.
It was soooo bad, I am still wrestling that sub-par sub sandwich 12 hours later!
My advice if your thinking about it park and go to quizno's for a sub -

Tim Hortons has built its reputation on great coffee, good donuts and efficient service. But not at this location. They screwed up my order at the drive-thru window (maple and chocolate sound nothing alike!) and by the time I realized it, it was too late. My bad for not looking in the bag before I drove away, but there's no excuse for bad service.
