Tim Horntons seems like an institiution in Canada.  I saw a ton of them dotted throughout my trips in Canada.  Had a chance to dine in one near Niagara Falls.  This location was pretty spacious.  Given that this location in in the midst of a touristy area, most places would be packed.  We had a group of 8, but had no problems getting two booths next to each other after staking out a few spots within a few minutes.  The turnover here is pretty quick.

We ordered up some BLT's (a little on the small side, but close to what you would get in a Subway), chili with bread roll (looked pretty hearty), some timbits (yummy jelly filled and non-filled donut holes - gotta have the glazed honey maple ones).  We washed it all down with their Ice Cappaccino's (cool and refreshing).

All-in all it was a good experience.  Fast food, and tasty at that...  Also, had a chance to grab some take out coffee at another spot in Toronto (so I can also vouch that the coffee is not bad).  It would be a cool thing to see this franchise pop-up in the US sometime down the line.

At the risk of enraging the Canadians, I think Timmy's is just OK and am not sure why there is one on every corner and everyones raves about it. I like the tiny donuts have honestly have had much better donuts. The other baked good I have had here are OK.

Either way, I know I will go again the next time I am in Canada since it is the right thing to do.

Tim Horton's is a symbol of Canada.  You always hear about it when you mention the country, so when I came upon Clifton Hill, I made a beeline for the Tim Horton's -- the only Canadian chain on the strip riddled with Wendy's, a Boston Pizza, Pizza Hut, etc.  It was breakfast time so I ordered a breakfast wrap combo (comes with a hash brown and coffee).  I thought the wrap was pretty bare bones -- didn't seem all that warm, and felt like it had just been slapped together.  The hash brown was more flavorful than crispy, and the coffee was not especially eventful.

Overall, decent service and a good stop.

Also, bought two tins of ground coffee to bring back.  Let's see if our home brew does any better.

I came here everyday for breakfast when I was in Niagara Falls. Everyone told me it was like the Starbucks/McDonalds of Canada. I could have eaten the complimentary breakfast at my hotel but the breakfast sandwiches and donuts here were too good to resist! I would get the breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel with ham :D and their breakfast combos came with a hash brown and a coffee. My favorite donuts there were the Maple and Strawberry Bloom Donuts. They also had these things called TimBits (basically just donut holes) and the banana flavor was the BEST

    AND they're open 24 hours!
AND try the Iced Capp! They're so cheap and yummy!

I love donuts in general, and I love Tim Horton's donuts.  It may not be an extensive variety but they sure are yummy!  What makes them so special?  They're not drenched in glaze nor they're diabetic-inducing sweet.  No matter what flavor you choose, they're perfect the way they are.  My personal favorite is the "Vanilla with Strawberry Filling" and the "Powered with Strawberry Filling" (donut or donut holes).  And the Iced Cappuccino was a perfect partner to my afternoon treat.

Another reason I love Tim Horton is that they server other food items - soup and paninis.  I wasn't able to try their paninis, but that's more the reason to come back to Canada.  The chicken noodle soup was definitely hearty, but it was greasy.  Nevertheless, it was just what I needed to warm down during a chilly fall day.

This particular location is special because it's just a couple of blocks from Niagara Falls.

A good choice for breakfast.  Fast service and better stuff than dunkin donuts.  Don't miss the maple donuts.   Mmmm.

Oh Tim's how I love thee....

Came in for a quick breakfast bite on the way to Bruce Peninsula.  Had a very tasty bacon, egg and cheese on a biscuit, and a coffee.  I love how even bacon and biscuits at Tim's aren't gross and greasy.

The staff was very nice and patient when they wouldn't accept my visa or amex. They did accept US money since we were close to the border.  -1 star for only accepting MasterCard.

Located along colorful and busy Clifton Hill, Tim Hortons provides a big, clean dining area and lots of good eats to choose from.

Being early enough in the morning, this was my first meal in Canada. A damn good one too!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and knows how to make a quality and tasty product.

The regular coffee was excellent- full of flavor and body that stood up to the cream. Smelled great too.

I also ordered a toasted plain bagel with cream cheese on the side. The bagels are crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside. After being toasted, the best really comes out. Add cream cheese and the goodness of this breakfast goes beyond words.

The cost of all this? Only $3.34 Canadian. Not bad at all. Quality at a better than expected price. Sure its a regional chain but they're doing something to not give them that chain appeal or chain appearance in their coffee and food.

Wish Ohio had Tim Hortons. This place is that good!

People say that Niagara Falls isn't the real Canada. Well, maybe they haven't been to Tim Horton's! It may not be the real deal, but it's a darn lot more "Canada" than the chain restaurants that are sprinkled throughout the Falls area.

This place is fantastic. We come here at least once every visit, and I think we even came twice on one visit! Before I had ever been here, I knew a guy who claimed he drove all the way up to the Buffalo\Niagara Falls region from Cleveland mainly to eat a Tim Horton's; I thought he was crazy, but I saw what he meant after the first time I ate here in October 2007. The food is yummy and flavorful and the prices are quite reasonable. I received a three-course lunch (sandwich, drink, and doughnut) for $4.40, which is a great deal if you ask me. The menu is varied, with a nice selection of sweet stuff and hearty, savory fare. One nice thing about this place is that they don't gouge people simply because they're on Clifton Hill--I respect that a lot, given that they could charge an arm and a leg and people would still come in droves.

The only downside is that they only take MasterCard, so leave your Visa, AmEX, and Discover at home.

best place to go if you like your coffee to taste like hot brown water that a wildebeest bathed in.

though it is puzzling to wonder why people will wait in their cars in line-ups that seem endless instead of just parking and heading in to the empty(minus the usual old guys yelling at each other about taxes and crime) stores themselves...

and if you refer to it as "timmies" I place a curse upon you and your family for all time....

    hate that stupid timmies name

    guess who got drunk today?

We ventured in here after walking around the area for a bit. The donuts were pretty fresh, and not overly sweet or over powering. Their coffee was ok, though their sizing was strange. I asked for a medium and you put in a small cup. Are you serious?

The girl working the counter needs a serious attitude adjustment. If you don't like working selling donuts then I suggest you find another job or at least pretend like you give a crap for about 2 seconds. All 6 of us were about to march out of there due to her attitude.

There are tim hortons everywhere in canada and this isn't the only location. If they're donuts weren't that great i'd given this place 1 star.

I had to try this "Canadian" dunkin donuts/krispy kreme since my co-worker said it was good. The dough in the doughnuts were actually better than dunkin donuts, but the icing was something else. If Tim Hortons dough were to mix with dunkin donuts icing, you'd have one heck of a doughnut.
