PLEASE NOTE THIS IS 5 stars in terms of a dive bar! With the new upgrades it's still a dive bar but it's a good one.  Drinks are cheap, company is chill, I like the back for music and events it's modest but cool.  Parking is easy.

I went here for hip-hop lesbian night.  I was impressed.  Still a mixed crowd, it was fun and the drinks were good if you stick to what you know including your brand of liquor... (hint hint)  Whoever upgraded this place....good job.

Went here for happy hour yesterday and had a great time.

Their jukebox has a diversified selection, their specialty drinks list is very unique (every type of vodka you can think of) with a good local beer list and they have the sweetest bartenders!   What more do ' ya need?

I also really like the design of the place, this bar has a long local history with a mellow and fun vibe.

This is my favorite bar in San Diego.

The decor is a nice upgrade from the Beauty Bar.
The drinks are STRONG and cheap.
The owner Mick is always quick to respond to any questions about large groups coming in during a bar rampage.

The jukebox has a great selection, and often they'll play totally random b movies on the tv over the bar.

It might help that my boyfriend lives within walking distance of this bar, but I'd still come here hands down over most bars given a choice.

Pretty much my favorite place to drink in all of San Diego County. The owner and the tenders are great. I feel right at home here and you will too. Stay for awhile, see a band and drink Till two.

Ok, I know that was cheesey and I'm sorry but it's a great place and it deserves your love and affection.

There once was a bar called the beauty bar. It sucked. Then someone swooped it up and turned it into Til-Two. Awesome daily happy hour, free wifi, I think they do comedy every Tuesday and a lot of cool bands play on the weekends. If you get a chance, check it out, I'm sure you won't be disapointed.

Fave dive bar. Decent shows. Laid back. Love the booths. Decent sound.

They allow smoking in the covered outdoor area where the stage is. Not a fan of that.

Don't park on the street; there's a parking lot on the west-side block. Park there or I fear for your vehicle and contents.

Side note: If you're on the cheap, 7/11's across the street.

Since my husband has gotten back into a band, I find myself heading out to places other than my beloved home bar. It makes me nervous and twitchy, as I am a creature of habit with major social anxiety issues.

But places like this make me feel like it's all going to be okay.  It probably doesn't hurt that I know one of the owners and one of the bartenders already (from a previous bar).  The bar area is spacious, with cool seating and nifty, kitch-y vintage clocks.  They have some interesting movies on the TVs.  And the stage area is very spacious as well, sound is pretty good.  Just a very cool place with a cool vibe (and, like any other bar, some interesting drunken patronage after midnight! Oh, the crazed dancing I saw!)

I'll definitely make a return visit to Til-Two.

I am at a loss of words to describe how HORRIBLE this place was.
I went there last night and it was like 8 something and I had to pay a $5 cover... waaaak!
Went in and me and my girlfriend were literally THE ONLY females in there. There was no music playing and the bartender looked like she was 17. I ordered 2 drinks and they were horrible! super watered down. The lights were not dim at all, they were very bright and you could see everyone up in there.. and there was only like 8 ppl total.
We felt uncomfortable and dipped out only after about 5 mins of being there.

I came here for Bike the Boulevard. It is way divier than when it was Beauty Bar. But, it's not a beauty bar, so whatever. The music was really loud, but the booths were comfortable.

The free barbecue was delicious and we really enjoyed sitting in their back room.

North Park bars are becoming inundated with a new wave of bar goers and I now find myself leaving my beloved neighborhood in search of new venues to spend my money at and this bar is at the top of the list.

Its also a great place to check out a live band or two while sucking down cheap drinks. Its not fancy and its not pretty but I like it. Very cool looking sign.

Its in City Heights so Im pretty sure that the local tourists from north and east county would never come here.

I will say this. If you can't make a drink to save your life and the customer doesn't like it. Apologize and offer something else. Its called customer service. AHhh Herrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooooo.

Came here with my girl and a couple buddies to support our friend's night of spinnin. Upon stepping into this bar, I had flashbacks from the old reincarnation of its former self, The Beauty Bar.

The layout and decor is almost unchanged, except for the fact we came here on a not-so-busy night, and took control of the stage for our personal amusement. The DJs had a SlowJam/MakinLove music night, which was an awesome evenin. Of course, the people venturing here on a Saturday night were cool and relaxed as well, as a bar should be. i've always liked this place since The Beauty Bar, i dont know...i guess there's something about it that i feel comfortable with. The lady behind the bar that works there most of the week is good at remembering faces and is very nice and courteous. I have tried the sweet drinks (i saw it recommended on foursquare), and yes, it was not a smart option after drinking beer and vodka. Don't get the sweet drinks! no wip cream on drinks! ok? ok.

Their beer selection is good! They have a nice variety which goes from Stella, Racer5, to Arrogant Bastard, Bohemia (good mexican dark beer), to their very own Till Two lager.

Lastly, they have kick ass punk shows on fridays every now and then, but watch cout, they sell out most of the time :D

    Well now.

    It's back.

    In a sense at least.

All of the BB enthusiasts are likely going to cry rapids of rivers and speak mountains of bitching about Til-Two just like they did for Scolari's and so many other things.

Looks like nobody wins these days. If someone does something great, apparently the older, cooler version was better.

I still like South Park, Zeppelin, and Pinky and the Brain. They are old.

Yet just because the Black Keys are getting famous does not remotely detract from the quality of the tunes.

It's not about how elitist it is. It is about quality. On Yelp, if you didn't know by now, I judge places based upon my personal experience. Not what the populace says.

This bar has some great things going for it. The sad fact is, you may no longer smoke indoors. (poof goes the 5 star review) Yet the ambiance, sound quality, drink strength, and overall sexy/cool/friendly vibe of the crowd hasn't dropped a notch in my book.

The decorations have changed. The vibe is the same. It's as if the Casbah has a little brother that is almost as excellent, only he lives in a different state. The staff was super friendly, attentive, hard-working, and skilled.

You wanted a drink? It's busy? Guess what. You got it, and quickly.

I am as thankful as a monkey in the bananananana fields of Hawaii that the current bar maintains the dedication to loud, live, unique, not-necessarily-successful bands as the old owners did.

That is all to say, if you weren't into the older bar, you may not yet grasp what you're missing out on.

Yeah. It's in the hood. Yeah you've gotta make the journey there.

Well guess what. Nothing great comes easy. Just go, rock out, check out the acts of the evening and consider yourself luckier for living in SD.

The Til-Two club is a great place to see a band! We drove down from LA to see Northern Ireland's finest band ever--The Undertones--rather than see them at the dreadful Echoplex in Echo Park. Even though we didn't get home until 4am, we're glad we did!

The sound is great. The semi-outdoors room where the bands plays is very intimate. Everyone is nice. The DJ played The Simpletones and The Zeros. It's a cool place. Go there!

this place is pretty cool for a little hipster joint.
They have some pretty interesting drink concoctions and a nice baby stage set up. Plenty of places to sit on your butt and socialize and easy on the eyes lighting.

I'd go back here for sure if they book bands that have soul.

Mick who owns Tower Bar has got the spot that used to be Beauty Bar. He said he put a lot of hard work into revamping the place. I definitely like the booths that are now lining the walls where the hairdresser chairs used to be... although I quite liked those chairs and would have loved one in my living room.

Of course Til-Two has a full bar.

The stage area is indoor/outdoor but no smoking out there anymore.

Is it a sin to check-in on Foursquare and not Yelp?  Forgive me, Danny, for I have sinned.  But it's a good thing I did!  The co-proprietor, Danielle, left a Quick Tip: Order a "Cupcake" It's AMAZING!  And you know what?  She was right!  I ordered it as a full beverage, but you can choose it in shot form if that is more to your liking.  In less than a minute I had in front of me a martini glass filled with vanilla vodka and orange juice and topped with whipped cream and sprinkles.

Look out for soon-to-come signature drinks, such as (hopefully) the German Landing Strip Vagina!

If any of you buggers decide to come out to Til-Two, you're invited to pass out at my place a drunken hop skip and jump away.

OH MAN... FIRST!  AND I added the listing WHHAAAAABAMMMM...

If you don't know already, this is the spot that replaced the Beauty  Bar.  It's owned by the guy who owns Tower Bar and he's partnered up with one of the guys from the Casbah (he runs Cave Punk records) and... it's great.  They changed out the furniture and added booths where the stupid hair dryers used to be on the bar opposite wall.

On a recent visit, the guy working the door was a d*** but everyone else working there was pretty cool.  I don't begrudge door men their livelyhood, but when you are working the door at a new venue- try to put a smile on your face, ok?

Anyway- love this place- hottest new bar in San Diego- check out the live music ASAP.

Surprisingly stylish lounge bar off the boulevard! This place has gotten a makeover and looks great!

The cozy leather booths and vintage clocks and photos on the wall give it a vintage chic feel. "til two" was the name of the original bar here in the 40's. Check out the photos on the wall and you can almost imagine it was like back then, except for the palm tree out front which is now about 30' taller!

There's a full bar, several great beers on tap, and a tasty looking signature drink list. I was here on a Tuesday night so it was slow, but I'll definitely be back on a weekend night! The owner/bartender is a really nice guy who is welcoming to locals. Can you say neighborhood bar??

Came here on a pub crawl last week and I can't say I see any difference between now and when it was the beauty Bar. The bartender was nice but seemed completely overwhelmed, the drinks were super cheap and I liked the way the seating was situated. I didn't like fellow barhoppers swarming the female members of my group of friends, but I can't really blame the bar itself for that. Overall its a fun dive bar that I'd frequent again.

Love it, love it, love it. Though I have to admit I have only been here once. I am from the East Coast and this bar totally reminds me of an East Coast bar that is situated in an area between two neighborhoods and the bar doesn't have an identity and is trying on several at once. This place (Til-Two Club) is a little more upscale, but has that vibe fo shizzle! When we were there, there was a band setting up and a group of people watching Hot Tub Time Machine... it was great! They have a decent selection of beer and the drinks were reasonably priced! I might just have to mosey on back to this place!

I am going to make a pact that whenever I go to this club, I'm going to wear my nicest vintage dress and coat (preferably 40s).  This place is über-cool.  I love the decor inside and the venue is great for listening to local bands; although I wish the dance floor was a little larger.  Kudos to the owners for bringing people back to the Boulevard.  Bring it back to it's heyday!   If you know the neighborhood, it truly needs it (Euclid and El Cajon).

i dragged my friends - one rebounding from a girl & the other looking for a girl - any girl - to see nobunny last weekend.

    1. i loved the old school, dive bar, cocktail lounge.  if it's your thing - this place is great.
    2. the music is in the back, with seats/tables up front.  jam in the back, chat up front.
    3. they had a nobunny pale ale on tap - which i'm not sure if they have every night or not - but it was delicious!
    4. drinks are priced right.
    5. ceiling & bathroom walls have glittery tints to them... which are awesome.

we had a great time for a saturday night with a fun band & a cool crowd.

It's not really my neighborhood, but I went to see a band play.  The place was OK.  I like the beer selection and the prices, and my mixed drink was potent enough.  It's a rough neighborhood - I wouldn't let a woman walk to or from her car unescorted at night.  Tasty pretzels. The service was not so good.  I think the bartender might have been one of the owners, and she was not the best.  Lucky the place was not crowded at all, as she was easily distracted and forgot our order a couple of times, and other times we had to wait 10 min to get a beer, even thought there were only 15 people in the place.  She would often serve whoever was closest, instead of who had been waiting.  Well, anyone can serve drinks, but to be a bartender is a skill.  Hopefully she will improve - she was nice enough.  The decor has been commented on here - i guess it's ok.  The band area is actually a tent - so it gets pretty chilly in the bar.  It's not a "lounge" - Till Two and the Alibi are "Dives" - Red Fox Room and Imperial House are Lounges.  There is a distinction.  An OK little place - I would go back if I was in the neighborhood.  Hope the new owners do well.
