Review from Bryn H.

I've stayed at the Tiki Shores 3 times now. Unfortunately it seems like each year we go back things are a little bit worse than the time before.
To start with it seems they have an obsession with starting construction in the morning after the beer festival in Penticton - that has been the trend for the last 2 years in a row.
While the overall condition of the units is fairly good, it seems like a lot of the details (the in-room TVs for instance) are very inconsistent. The room we had this year had a flat panel TV that was literally balanced against the edge of the cabinet it was sitting in - no stand. If you looked at it wrong it could come crashing down on to the counter no doubt resulting in an interesting conversation between yourself and the hotel management regarding fault.
Their online booking system is a joke - all it does is email their staff who then just reply in an email telling you to call them anyhow. Really there's no point to it - in 2011 I expect to be able to book online and I'm quite surprised when I can't.
Overall the rooms are not too bad - they are clean, no complaints there. Somewhat small overall, but generally you don't go on vacation to sit in the room all day. I do wonder where the 'Tiki' in Tiki Shores is, there is nothing remotely Tiki about the place whatsoever.
Oh yeah, while they do technically have free wireless, it is very poorly configured - every access point is on the same channel, meaning you can't really USE it for much of anything.
If you stay here you'll get a comfortable night's sleep in a clean bed, but don't expect a whole lot beyond that.
