There are no words to describe how much I love groceries and grocery shopping and Tian Phat is a grocery groupies dream! I must admit I was a little intimidated when I first went in. The variety is amazing and as much as I love groceries, I am not expert on food, let alone Asian food and I was like how would you choose. I remember standing in the soya sauce isle for 15 minutes trying to figure out which one was for me, was it a Korean or Japanese, light or dark, so many options.
There are just a ton of variety available at Tian Phat. Dozens of selections of so many items. If you are looking to try something new, have a recipe and having a hard time finding the right ingredients, head here, you will likely find what you want.
What I love is it is just not pantry staples you will find here. They have a large refrigerated section with fruits and veggies, meats, tofu, all the necessities. They also have prepared food, both in the fridges and in a large frozen food section.
Anything you could want you will find at Tian Phat. Not only is there an endless selection of all sorts of groceries, there is also a great selection of cooking vessels and dishes. You could totally redo your kitchen after a visit to Tian Phat.
Even if you don't cook Asian, stop by for a visit and wonder around. It is just such a fun store to visit and check out all the different options that are available.Listed in: With a Little Help From My…

They had almost everything here to make my own Ramen... except the frozen Ramen. But they have every curry pastes available, even Panang!
The store is a little cramped and the workers aren't THAT polite, but they were very helpful when I needed assistance finding Kaffir Leaves -

Tian Phat is probably the most well stocked asian grocer in the HRM.
It carries chinese, vietnamese, thai, korean and even filipino ingredients and dishes. It has a large section of frozen dim sum and a good selection of (until recently) hard to find ingredients such as vietnamese coriander, balut, etc. If you're looking for an all purpose stop, this is the place to go.
Unlike the other reviewer, I have always found the staff to be rather helpful. -

I was thrilled to discover Tian Phat Asian Grcoery! I got a ton of dried shiitake mushrooms for a steal, their noodle selection is endless, it's the only place I have seen quail eggs since I left the Vancouver area and people were very helpful to me. I love the little carts to help you shop around the store. The Asian dishes were beautiful and reasonably priced. I found absolutely everything I was looking for and dreaming about. I am going to be a a regular there from now on.

Tian Phat carries a variety of products and of course a lot of Asian people shop there.
I go here especially for some frozen noodles that I use for a stir fry I make. They seem to be the only place left where I can find them.
The store is very cramped, and the staff is not that helpful. Not really friendly to be honest. But if you know what you are looking for,then this is a good place.
