While my first visit to Thunderbird Stadium was not to see the infamous UBC football team, the aptly named, Thunderbirds, I was able to get a better view of the stadium while attending a concert of Jack Johnson this past summer.  By that I mean we were sitting right on the field!

This stadium has been used as a concert venue many times in the past for Radiohead and Metallica amongst others, and it is perfect for holding up to 3,500 people.  During a concert they tend to set up the stage not opposite the stands, so sitting in the stands is usually only preferred if you are here for a football game or you want to stay out of the rain!

Outside of the stadium they sold beer at the beer tent set-up and you weren't able to bring booze indoors.  They did sell mini-donuts though!  What a better way to appease the masses than with mini-donuts right?!  All in all, it was a fantastic venue for a concert!
