I have sampled 3 meals from this place: Jambalaya, a Cajun-style chicken/potato dish, and a Salmon BLT.

All have been well worth it.  To be fair, I was not "impressed" with the chicken in my dish, but the sauce was good, and the potatoes were good... just nothing special with the chicken.  The salmon BLT was AWESOME.  The jambalaya was tasty.  The cornbread muffins that came with the chicken and the jambalaya was very tasty.  ALL the food was very flavorful.

The service was very nice and attentive.  The ambiance is very inviting, in a slightly rustic, yet still classy sort of way.

I've only eaten lunch here... but we looked at the lunch AND the dinner (AND the takeout) menus, and we were enticed to want to return later... for some dinner!!  They have a wide variety of tapas (Tapas in Iowa?? No way!!) and a fun looking variety of martinis, and other bar drinks...  I really want to come back on a date night, enjoy a wide variety of tapas and martinis, and maybe an enticing sounding salad/fish/steak/sandwich meal...

It's not "cheap", but it won't break the bank either.  The Salmon BLT sandwich, accompanied with "homemade chips" or fries, is $9.95.  A caesar wrap (with the same choice of potato) will run you more like $6.99...

I took a takeout menu with me.  I WILL try more of the food.  I saw a sign that said they offered Sunday brunch... hmmmmmm.... I am definitely tempted to try THAT out!!

Was pleasantly surprised by this mid-tier dining experience on a visit from Chicago to my boyfriend's hometown near the QC (look at me, picking up the lingo, Quad Cities).  Ambiance is rustic and woodsy. Chairs made to look like branches, lighting fixtures comprised of deer antlers. Fairly large space with booth seating available.

Service is attentive. I had the mahi-mahi wrap with a ranch dressing and onion rings on the side. It was tasty. Someone else had the crab cake appetizer which was small in portion size (more like scallops) so they had to double up the order.

All in all, definitely a good local alternative to the mid-tier chain restaurants in the area.

My wife and I stopped here for dinner last night for the first time w/o knowing much about it.  We were pleasantly surprised!

We had the seafood fondue as an appetizer, which was full of big chunks of crab and shrimp.  It was rich and cheesy - I'm already convinced it's a must-order item the next time we go.  It's also definitely big enough to share between 4 people, which seems harder to find among appetizers these days.

I had the cornmeal walleye and my wife had a bison burger on brioche with blue cheese.  She loved the sweetness of the brioche with the saltiness of the blue cheese.  My walleye and mashed potatoes were very good, although the fish may have been a tad over done.

We're excited to return next time we are in or are passing through Davenport.  I loved  the fish selection, as most places in Iowa City only offer salmon.  Don't get me wrong, I love salmon, but there are so many other delicious fishes to eat!

My dad took me here for brunch a couple times.  The service was always good, very attentive staff, willing to go the extra mile.  The nice thing about the brunch is that there is so much to choose from.  I like having a lot of choices and to be honest, sometimes when it comes to brunch I'm not quite sure what I am in the mood for, so the choices help.

On the downside, I don't know that I was really blown away by the food offered for brunch.  Then again, I felt like each time I went back for something, I was getting the last, burnt bits that had been left in the heating tray.  Regardless of my brunch experience, I would really like to stop in again, but order from the menu.  I have a feeling that the food from the menu, made-to-order, would probably be more enjoyable.

I've had some good experiences here and some meh experiences here. They are your average american restaurant with various things on the menu to choose from. They have a decent brunch - I wouldn't say that it is AMAZING, but it's one of the better ones in the area. The service is good, and the atmosphere is interesting. It's not one of my favorite places to go, but they are worth a try.

We've stopped here numerous times otw from Cali to Ohio via I-80 and have never been disappointed with the food or service. The cajun dishes weren't over bearing with spices, just had enough.

I took a date her on Valentine's Day. The service and food was so bad that I felt embarrassed for choosing the place.

I have Sunday Brunch frequently.  It's very good with a variety of breakfast and typical Sunday meal items.  Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, gravy, desserts.  Their bloody mary's used to be really good with a lot of condiments.  They use Zing Zang bloody mary mix.

They have a few rooms that you can reserve.  I reserved the upstairs room for my mother's 75th birthday on a Sunday for brunch.  It is accessible by two stairwells on either side of the room.  They assigned us a wait person which was really nice.

I really like Thunder Bay Grille and would return anything that wasn't edible.  The owner would want to know if something came out of his kitchen not up to par.

The atmosphere may be the most interesting feature here.  The food was pretty good, too, but I doubt you'd have to worry about taking home leftovers.  Also, I was very impressed with the service.

Weekend buffett is great! Good selection of food and it's always fresh. Service is great. I've only been there for dinner service once and it was good then too.

Pressed for time, my coworkers and I stopped by the Thunder Bay Grille for lunch.  I'm having a hard time giving it 2 stars, but it's the appropriate rating.

    The Pros:
    Pleasant and polite service.
Efficient and quick (place isn't really crowded during lunch hours)
    Relatively low prices.

    The Cons:
    Buffalo burger was overdone.
The buns were flat and dry.
Food seemed like something from a college bbq fundraiser.

Of course, the dinner experience seems to be significantly different.  Take my review with a grain of salt, but an unpleasant meal is an unpleasant meal.

Service was good. On tap beer was not cold enough. Atmosphere is very nice. The beer breaded shrimp appetizer was pretty good. The bison Burger was ok but well below expectations.

Surprisingly nice restaurant within walking distance of a few hotels.  (don't let the cheesy neon sign outside scare you away) Great inexpensive tapas menu with amazingly good hummus.  Neat lodge-like decor.  Extensive drink selection (hello, martini flights) and early and late happy hours M-Th.  Enjoyed the free, fresh bread and a flavorful pasta dish and my co-worker dining companion enjoyed her sandwich.  I honestly wish there was a restaurant like this in my home town, because I'd definitely frequent it.  Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Went there while on business in Davenport.  It was a good place...nice rustic feel.  Loved the goose decoys as you walk in the door.  It was fairly busy and we were given the option of eating in the bar versus making a short wait (~10 min) which we did.

Food was good.  I had a Ribeye (I believe they called it Rocky Mtn. Ribeye).  It was cooked as requested and had a good flavor.  It was was a good choice an I would return.

Amazing! We went for the Sunday buffet. The selection was wonderful, our waitress was polite and attentive. The hostess could have been a bit more friendly though.

great place in an out of the way location. . .at least for me.  On my way back from Iowa to Illinois, i stopped off at the exit looking for some quick food.  After seeing the sign for this place and then checking out the menu, I was interested to see what they offered.  The seafood was very good, the atmosphere was nice and the staff was great.  Check this place out for a really good meal when traveling between IA and IL!
