This is probably the best vietnamese place in all of London! There are so many excellent dishes to choose from and I'm sure there is something there you will love! From the Pho to the Pad Thai, and the little more daring Curry Chicken, it all taste's amazing!

Just don't judge a book by it's cover, the outside and even the inside of the restaurant aren't the most visually appealing, but I guarantee you that the taste of the food much outweighs the looks of the restaurant! Chu and the staff are super friendly, and your food is made to order and usually very quickly, In other words the service is excellent!

The portions are massive as well and I'm sure you'll leave full and if not with some to take home as well. The price is also excellent, and there are no dishes over $10. I would highly recommend the Pad Thai (401), Curry Chicken (216), and the Black Bean Chicken (131), There is also an amazing meat dish that I forget the number of but it's so good as well!

Just give TK's a try, you'll love it!

Definitely my favourite Viet restaurant in London.

They have excellent pho noodle soup (tasty, not too greasy as other places I've tried), chicken pad thai (always a favourite), and vermicellis (good portion sizes for price as many other Viet places in London overcharge for this).

I find that their food is consistently good, portions are decent, and that it is reasonably priced. It used to be a "hidden gem" but since it's renovated place in Highbury & Huron, I see it's gaining more popularity! And for good reason.

I've often ordered take-out from Thuan Kieu, but until last Thursday, I'd never dined in. I think I'll stick to take-out from now on.

We arrived at the restaurant at about 5:30. It was still fairly empty at that time, and my aunt was waiting for us, already seated. She'd ordered a coffee with condensed milk, and had a hard time finding the tiny dollop (less than half a teaspoonful) at the bottom of her glass, and the phin filter was awkward and unwieldy, and no saucer was provided to set it down on.

We were ready to order fairly quickly, but it took another ten minutes to catch a server's attention; I suspect they were trying to figure out who had to serve our table at that point. The tables were slowly filling up, and the table behind us, who'd arrived twenty minutes after we did, had their order taken just after us. The fact that our server didn't know what type of broth used in one or two dishes was also rather awkward!

Funny thing. The food for the table behind was delivered in its entirety before we began to get ours, one by one, with about five to ten minutes between them.

    Food: 4
    Atmosphere: 3
    Service: 1

Seriously, I'll stick with getting take-out. I have no complaints with the food, just the service.

Casual atmosphere, great food, excellent price, friendly staff. When the food is that good and there are family photos on the wall, you have to love it.
    I'll keep going back.

Tried this place at its new location (Highbury and Kipps Lane if I remember correctly).  I had never been to this place at its old location but I had heard wonderful things about it.  I have to say that it lived up to my expectations.  I had their chicken curry with rice and it was excellent.  The best aspect to the dish was the curry sauce as it tasted like they had just ground up the spices just before they made it.  It was bursting with so much flavour and freshness along with some decent heat.  I can't wait to come back to try some other dishes like their pho.
