Thrush Holmes Empire is a "so hip it hurts" art gallery on Queen West near Dovercourt. It's perfectly located across the street from Nyood, so you can enjoy a great dinner and then some great art in lieu of dessert!
It's interior has an industrial vibe inside which perfectly sets off the beautiful art hanging on the whiter-than-white walls. Some of the pieces are as large as said walls, while others are quite small. The pieces are pricey (upwards of $40,000 for an average sized painting), but people who can afford that aren't probably looking on Yelp for help in where to go!
Nevertheless, I found the staff welcoming and appreciative, and the art is such a treat that it's worth a gander even if you know you're one of the ones who would have to choose between a Thrush Holmes painting or the downpayment on that new house you've been eyeing.
